Joao met us as the house for check in - he was friendly and helpful. Gave us recommendations for close hikes and river beaches, including the google map links! The house was immaculate, beautiful with modern upgrades while still maintaining charming 100 year old historical details and furnishings. The private pool was 100% the best part of this stay. Not huge, but enough space for 4 or 5 to get in and have fun. Lots of shady deck seating, and the air conditioning in the house was great in the 37 degrees weather. With 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, there was plenty of room for all 5 of us. Not a lot to do within the village, but essentials were met with a few markets and restaurants. It was a nice break to be in a quiet, sleepy village for our stay in Portugal. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing, slow pace to your vacation. I would definitely stay again. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Ahua Portugal, where our host Anne guided us with thoughtful local tips and quick responses. Nestled on a peaceful hillside above Seixe Valley, the modern house had every comfort we needed and felt like the perfect retreat. We were deeply inspired by Anne’s dedication to the land. She has led a reforestation project across her 18-hectare estate, planting over 30,000 cork trees to restore the forest after wildfires. Tip: Do plan to bring a reliable car. The unpaved access roads are best navigated with a vehicle that has good clearance. If you’re seeking a serene, private getaway with a caring, responsive host deeply connected to her land, Ahua Portugal is an exceptional choice! Five stars all the way, and thank you, Anne!

Geschmackvoll renoviertes Haus am Rande des Dorfes. Sehr sauber, man kommt an und fühlt sich direkt wohl. Gute Ausganglage für Ausflüge in die Umgebung.

A casa correspondeu na perfeição às expectativas e acabou por ser uma maravilhosa surpresa à minha esposa. Apesar de não ter comentado nada, fomos celebrar o nosso segundo aniversário de casamento e não só tivemos um miminho quando chegámos, como tivemos atenção constante do Micael que foi sempre prestável e atento às nossas necessidades. Ainda nos contactou no dia anterior ao check-out a referrir que como nao iriam receber ninguem nesse dia que poderiamos fazer check out mais tarde sem contra partida. Foi sem duvida uma ótima experiencia, com um cuidado imenso do Micael. Não poderiamos estar mais felizes.

Aldeia pacata junto ao Alqueva, perfeita para dois dias quentes no início de Junho. A casa é enorme e linda de morrer... Adorámos o entardecer no pátio, e o céu constantemente a ser rasgado por andorinhas, cegonhas e pavões... Perfeito para recarregar baterias, soube a pouco. Obrigada!

The house was amazing, especially 3 balcony levels, which felt very luxurious, with a great view of the beach and the ocean. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable, that I had the best sleep in a long time. I seriously did not want to leave that bed, lol. Great location, 3 min walk to the elevator down to the beach (great help as opposed to taking the stairs up and down), and the old town is also walking distance (10-15 min). Parking is a bit tricky, but we were able to find a spot if not on this street, then on the neighboring streets. The house is well equipped with everything you need (I would also add paper towels and shampoo/conditioner, but we were able to buy those at a grocery store nearby). The communication with the host was very quick and efficient, everything we needed was resolved fast. Welcoming bottle of wine and snacks were also appreciated. I highly recommend this accommodation, you won't be disappointed!

Un coin de paradis. Le lieu entier est magnifique, la forêt, le jardin de Barbara, la route qui y mène même. Alors la petite cabane ! S'endormir sous les étoiles et se lever au rayon de soleil, le tout avec seulement le bruit du vent sur les arbres et des oiseaux le matin, c'est féerique. Une expérience a vivre absolument. J'ai aussi pris les petits déjeuner et dîner préparés par Barbara pour ne pas avoir a quitter le lieu et pouvoir en profiter un maximum. Je recommande vraiment, surtout le petit déjeuner, la salade de fruits frais de son jardin, à elle seule en vaut la chandelle. Merci Barbara de partager ce coin de paradis. À très vite j'espère !

Dit is echt een unieke accommodatie! Heel veel privacy en midden in de prachtige natuur. Wat zo fijn is, is dat het echt afgelegen is maar je bevindt je wel op het landgoed van de eigenaar en dat geeft wel een veilig gevoel. Het huisje is basic maar alles wat je nodig hebt is er. Het is schoon, een comfortabel bed en een koelkast die alles koel houdt. Het kan heel warm worden maar als je de airco aanzet dan is het zo lekker koel. Ik had niet gezien dat er geen wifi was en wilde even het vervolg van onze reis verder uitstippelen, er werd meteen een router geregeld. Prachtige strandjes in de buurt, lekkere eetgelegenhedenen leuke winkeltjes.
