Our property boasts superb sea views over Scapa Flow, Hoy and beyond, aswell as field views from the bedrooms. Situated 3 miles from Kirkwall Town centre, with country walks from our doorstep, we offer the ideal spot to explore Orkney. We have free off road parking and an outdoor drying space. Please note: this property is accessed via stairs and no lifts etc are available.

This is a beautiful cottage that has been renovated and extended to an extremely high standard. It is a quiet location close enough to all the main sites on the Mainland of Orkney. However, it is also the type of place where one can stay all day indoors enjoying the views or walk locally along the beautiful coastline. The cottage is very well-equipped, and beautifully and thoughtfully furnished.

We had a lovely week at this comfortable, spacious and excellently equipped house. The setting is beautiful and great for seeing birds and even hares right outside the window. We toured the Mainland easily from this location and loved Stromness as the nearby town. Skara Brae is awe- inspiring and just a few minutes away. Veronica was so helpful with information and advice. A great experience all round.

Had a great stay in Clare’s wee cottage, I genuinely can’t think of how it can be improved. Is seems very freshly decorated and all the things that we needed were there including some well thought through extras e.g. extension sockets. Very comfy bed, lovely lounge area, well equipped kitchen (not that we used it much). We had accommodation envy from friends staying elsewhere! We’d definitely return if we ever get the chance, thanks very much.

Magnificent location- spotlessly clean and comfortable. View over the fields to Loch Harray was beautiful and ever changing enhanced by hares, curlews and geese. Location was ideal for exploring the islands by car. Definitely recommended.

This was our second stay and two years on the house had been very well maintained. Kathryn responded very quickly when a repair was needed, sending a charming local handyman straight away. we absolutely loved the first floor living room looking out on the beach, sea, Marwick Head and Birsay Brough. Lovely sunsets.
