Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Bridgeport

This was a nice place to stay for our trip to NYC. The metro is a short drive to Fairfield, black rock station, if you want a shorter train ride you can drive 30 minutes to Stamford Metro. The house is clean and spacious and it was perfect to come back from the city and relax. The outdoor area could use some sprucing up but we weren't looking to spend time around the fire or be outside. We were very pleased with the coziness and very much enjoyed staying here.

We had an amazing long weekend at Peter’s house. The house is great - close to the beach, and to an amazing playground if you have little kids like we do! He was so easy to work with, very responsive and flexible. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in this area!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this historic house. It is full of character: we especially loved the massive fireplace where meals were presumably prepared back when it was an inn in the 1700s. It is also ridiculously spacious and very well furnished and equipped for a group of 10: the dining table easily seats 10, there is ample comfortable seating in the living room (not to mention at least 3 other sitting rooms one could gather in), and 8 of us were simultaneously cooking in the kitchen without anyone bumping elbows. Cooking here is a dream: there is a 6-burner+grill stove, 2 ovens, and all the equipment you could want (including a KitchenAid stand mixer and Vitamix blender). Moreover, Carly was an excellent host: she was always quick to respond, her messages were clear, and she generously allowed us to stay an extra hour to make our timing work out well. We highly recommend this house and would love to return.

great location and loved the backyard

We had a relaxing overnight with our two pups! The bay/sound area is so peaceful. Our dogs enjoyed swimming before the tide came in and we kayaked along the shoreline. The inside was stunning and had everything you needed and more! We door dashed lobster rolls from the Bonfire Grille nearby (10/10) and ended the night in the hot tub! Coffee on the sunny patio was a great perk, too! Thanks again!!

We liked how easy it was to punch the code in to get into the home. Once in the home, it was really nice to see the welcome placard. We enjoyed access to robes, skincare, slippers, towels, etc. The game room was loads of fun. The indoor and outdoor ping pong tables were fun. We enjoyed billiards, arcade games and table games. The icing on the cake were the hot tub, the four mode shower and bidet. The Smart Home technology took a little getting used to, but it was very convenient once we did. We love the quick response time whenever we had a question or concern. This place allowed for a rejuvenating relaxing atmosphere and we are so glad that we chose “The Good Vibes” home for our debut AirBNB experience. Thanks again for hosting us in your charming abode!

Our stay was stunning. The location is quiet and peaceful yet close enough to the town to get what you may need. The home itself is absolutely gorgeous. It’s clean, the layout is beautiful, and the views are out of this world. A truly incredible place to stay. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was perfect, and each room has a full bath which was great for our family. Overall highly recommend

I was really blown away that it looked exactly the picture. It exceeded my expectations. The only complaint I had was the fact that I could not get on WIFI but other than that it was super clean and spotless! The neighborhood was quiet. I would definitely book again.

The apartment was beautiful and exactly as described. It was newly renovated, clean, easy to locate, and in a prime location. We met Graham when we got there. He was outside working on more renovations, and he became a friendly face and helpful resource throughout our stay. The patio was definitely worth it. It was so peaceful and serene to just sit in the hot tub and stare off at the creek and mountains. The less than 10 minute walk to town on the abandoned tracks was so easy, romantic, and fun. This is a great place to stay for couples or families!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Barbara’s beautiful home! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described. The house is full of charm and character, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel like a true home away from home. The location was perfect—peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to everything we wanted to explore. We especially loved the cozy fireplace, comfortable beds, and well-equipped kitchen. Barbara & Patty were incredibly responsive and helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. This was our 3rd time staying here and we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful getaway. We’d definitely love to return in the future!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was spotless and incredibly well-prepared. The host went above and beyond—there was a bottle of wine and a charcuterie board waiting for us when we arrived, which was such a thoughtful touch. She truly thought of everything we might need, from toiletries to kitchen essentials, including a variety of snacks/breakfast items, coffee and teas. It made our stay comfortable, relaxing and stress-free. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Janet's place was perfect for my visit. plenty of space in the apartment to spread out. it had everything I needed and didn't feel cluttered. and it was squeaky clean.

Wow!!! This is the nicest airbnb I have ever stayed in. The property is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by trees with lots of privacy. The cottage itself is immaculate (I’m very particular about cleanliness). The dining area is stunning with skylights and beautiful trees outside and great light! The hosts were also so welcoming and friendly, they included so many nice touches for my baby including a pack and play/travel crib, diaper changing area, and toys! I hope to stay here again every time we come to this area!

Such a great stay at this lakeside spot in Bridgeport! The place was very modern and beautifully designed. Everything felt fresh and up to date. The lake view was amazing, and we enjoyed hanging out outside by the water. It was perfect for our large family and worked out well for our long stay while our house was being fixed. It felt nice and private, but still so close to everything we needed. Daymane was a great host—friendly and easy to stay in touch with the whole time. Would def stay here again!

Our family had a very enjoyable stay! The home and surroundings were beautiful, everything was extremely clean and organized, our host was wonderful! We absolutely loved the tea ceremony! It was very educational! We will definitely stay here again when we return to New Haven!

My family and I were lucky enough to stay at Jenna’s over Memorial Day Weekend. The house was even better than the pictures, if that’s possible. Very clean, and beautifully presentable. Everything was clean and ready for us, and Jenna had genuinely everything we could have possibly needed. Jenna was extremely communicative even leading up to our stay. Hope to stay again sometime soon!

We had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect. The view of the water was everything and was accessible from nearly every room. The home was modern and easily accommodated our large group. Yet it was cozy and beautifully appointed with all the amenities you would ever want. It is ideal for children with every toy imaginable. There was a highchair and a pack and play for our toddler and child appropriate dishes. The kitchen was fully equipped and had 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers and 3 tables for dining. The beautiful pool and hot tub were in constant use. Mary is very thoughtful and assembled a ringed binder with important contacts and suggestions for dining, shopping and entertainment. Although there was no beach on the property there are nearby beaches. The towns of Guilford and (nearby) Madison are charming and well worth visiting. Mary was very accommodating and responded promptly to several inquiries.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a truly exceptional home that exceeded all my expectations. The house was clean and well-kept. It felt like stepping into a brand new space. The backyard is a standout feature, offering a fantastic oasis for families. The pool is perfect for kids, Additionally, there's a well-equipped playground that kept the little ones entertained, along with a variety of toys that made it feel like a true home away from home. The office space was a welcomed surprise. It features a comfortable desk and ample natural light Overall, this house is a gem, perfectly blending comfort, fun, and functionality. Our second time at Hopewell Junction did not disappoint. We love this home because Anuja really understands what a guest needs and would like - so many extra touches, like beautiful linens, nice soaps and shampoos, wood for fire, lots of cookware and serving pieces, and beautiful art. Beds are comfy and towels are top notch. It snowed while we were there, beautiful, and the drive was promptly plowed. Our friends speak Danish, and they kept using the word hygge for the house. (Cosy and welcoming) We agree and will definitely be back. Thank you Anuja for another lovely stay!

Tony’s place was wonderful. Looks just like the pictures and was a great time for our time away. The place was clean and Tony was also very responsive and accommodating. Highly recommend Tony as a host!

Daisy was so great to work with throughout the entire process. Her place is gorgeous. The town and surrounding area is just magical. Great for a relaxing time just getting away and relaxing. 10/10 would recommend. Cannot wait to go back.
