Watch the sunrise over the downland with the village of Godshill and its church spire in the foreground.Take a short walk to the wildlife pond and ancient woodland within the grounds or sit on the sheltered veranda and watch the ponies grazing in the paddock, whatever the weather inside with the wood burning stove alight looking out, the view is spectacular. Any time of year, you will find that this is an idyllic location. You are welcome to bring a dog with you.

Located near Ryde, there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk away and numerous cycle routes and footpaths. The cabin is nestled in a woodland where you can sit and watch the island's native red squirrels in their natural habitat.

The Barn - a hidden retreat

Wake up to the sound of bird song at the Barn. The Barn is a detached building with a studio apartment on the first floor. It has one double bed, a sofa bed, and a kitchenette with fridge and combi oven. Downstairs is a garage space with table tennis. The garden has direct access over the gate into common land and woodland connecting to the footpath network. The Barn is set in the grounds of my cottage and shares a drive and parking area.

This small detached home is perfect for a summer holiday or just a night or two get away. The chalet is situated 3 miles from Ryde beach and offers comfortable accommodation in a rural setting. A good base to explore the island but equally a nice place to rest and relax as it benefits from having it's own patio. Free car parking on site, on a driveway behind a 5 bar gate.
