A quaint farmhouse style cottage very comfortable and stocked with everything you need, Linda even provided games and toys for children. Very peaceful and homely and is highly recommended for a short or long stay. Our only regret was that our stay was too short.

A truly unique place in stunning surroundings. Very conveniently located near MONA and the wildlife sanctuary with a couple of lovely wineries nearby. The comments from previous guests are accurate - one large living area so suitable for a family.

We stayed for 5 nights in the Shepherd’s Rest cottage in May and although the nights were cold, we were beautifully warm with a lovely log fire each night. Oatlands is a great spot to stay as there is plenty to see in the historic town and Bowhill Grange is an excellent spot to use as a base to explore the surrounding region. Located just out of Oatlands and surrounded by farmland it is peaceful and secluded but still close to the pub and shops etc. Ruth and Peter are great hosts and although only there for 5 nights, we left as friends. As a coeliac, I need gluten free food and Ruth went above and beyond to cater for me including a gluten free platter that was delicious and she even baked a gluten free fruit cake. The cottage was very comfortable and everything we required was provided. If we ever come back to Tassie we would love to stay here again and we can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. Thank you Ruth and Peter for having us and making us so welcome.

Jane and Phil were great hosts, friendly and helpful. Their accommodation had great views over Glaziers Bay. It was in a quiet, country location. The cabin was spotlessly clean and had all the amenities you would want. A choice of a lovely log fire and air conditioning. My wife and I wouldn't hesitate to book again when we next visit Tasmania.
