Perfect spot for visiting Aarhus. Relaxed and quiet recreational zone outside the suburbs, new and superb guesthouse on the owners premise. Stylish decoration, comfortable beds, splendid kitchen. Take your shoes off inside. Green bicycle path along the river into the town centre and out into the surroundings. Hans Christian is a very kind, modest, flexibel and friendly host. All in all: better than our already high hopes.

House in scenic surroundings, family friendly

FrançoisRating, 5 stars22 months ago
Freja's house is a peaceful little gem in a small village centered around a collaborative self-isolation farm with a disability. The project is really great, and this village too because the children were able to play quietly in the playground, on the mountain bike trail and go see the farm (milking cows, small calves, chickens, goats...). There is also the opportunity to take beautiful walks and via Freja we had access to the organic store with farm products. Beautiful! The space is cozy, with a large bright living room. The small stove is nice on cold days. On hot days, the house stays cool and is comfortable to stay in. We loved this place, which is even more beautiful than what you can see in the photos. Freja is super attentive and good advice for visiting the surroundings (Aarhus, Silkeborg,...).
A small outdoor balcony area is depicted with two stylish wire chairs arranged on a wooden floor. A geometric-patterned rug contrasts with the natural wood. A potted plant with delicate branches adds a touch of greenery, while large windows allow for ample light.

We rented the place for an overnight stay after a party in the area. It worked perfectly. There was room for all 6 of us. Clean and tidy. Good beds. Friendly and responsive hosts.

Holliday apartment in the middle of the nature

Staying at Pia and Morten’s for our first experience of Jylland was wonderful. Close enough to Aarhus to take a bus or short car ride into town, but also the peacefulness of living in the countryside. And hosts that are so friendly and helpful, but still gave us privacy - a perfect balance. We also enjoyed meeting the animals - the cat, the ponies, and Eddy, the very happy dog. This was a great home base for both relaxing and for exploring Aarhus and all the other interesting places in south Jylland. The Moesgaard Museum outside Aarhus was outstanding. And just down the road in Lading within walking distance is a fantastic cheese shop, a lovely coffee shop/roastery, and the best-organized second-hand shop we’ve ever found. With so much of interest and only a few days this trip, we left already hoping we can come back again soon!
A spacious playground is set in a grassy area, featuring wooden play structures, a slide, and a swing set. Sand covers the ground, with colorful toys scattered around. Trees and a cloudy sky provide a natural backdrop, creating an inviting space for children to play.
