De Vrouwezand is a historic sailing ship and sails over Wad and IJsselmeer in summer. In winter, she sits at a unique location in the city center of Groningen, and can be rented as an accommodation for music and/or culture lovers. The cozy living room has an open kitchen with an extensive inventory, including a catering oven and 2 refrigerators (together 250 liters). Yvonne van Scheijen, biologist and skipper/owner, lives in the skipper's house in the back, and is happy to welcome you on board.

There are 8 beds spread over a captain’s cabin, a room in the front and a fixed bunk bed next to the aisle. Showers are possible in the shower complex in the harbor, where 16 showers are available for you. You can also sail to Amsterdam and stay there for the night for example, or sail on the IJsselmeer or North Sea. We would like to tell you what is possible with our beautiful boat.

Welcome aboard! The Moana is for rent from July 2023. A cozy 9.5 meter boat on the Alkmaardermeer. Here you can enjoy the tranquility, the beautiful view and the setting sun, after which you will be wonderfully lulled to sleep and you can hear the water rippling in the background. PLEASE NOTE: the boat is located on an island which can only be reached with a manually operated ferry. It runs between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. After this time, you won't be able to get on or off the island.

The rest of the boat is a shop with sailing / marine equipment and a bunker station. The entrance is due to the age of the ship a small steep stair, keep that in mind.
