Sit out in the backyard then come indoors to relish leafy views from a triple-aspect living room. The apartment has a cottage feel with window boxes and wooden fittings. A hanging plant, and white linens provide a calming feeling. Awake to the songs of birds and explore our 1/2 acre of fruit trees, vegetable beds, and landscape. Yet most of San Diego’s attractions are just 5 to 10 miles away. The new kitchen is included in your space so you can prepare your own meals if desired. Cooking equipment included are a convection toaster oven, coffee maker, hot pot, a microwave, and an induction plate, pots & pans, kitchen tools, cutlery and dishes. We also provide coffee, tea, sugar, salt & pepper, cooking oil, and ice. This space is attached to our main home but you’ll have your own separate entrance and private kitchen/ living, bed and bath. We'd love to greet you and show you around when you arrive, but if we happen to miss you will have your own unique door code to get in. We’ve prepared a binder of information for guests and can help you plan for best use of your time. However if you prefer to be on your own we’re fine with that too. We have walked to downtown or to the nearest trolley, but unless you are walkers and out for exercise, you will probably want a car. There are now lots of bikes available for rent, but it will be uphill to get back to the house. Some of our guests have chosen to rely only on Uber, in which case grocery and/or meal delivery are helpful. If you have an afternoon or evening flight you are welcome to store luggage at our house after your 10 AM check out. We are in a hilly residential area with stores, restaurants and bus/ trolley access about 2 miles away, so you'll have the most flexibility if you come by car. If you choose to Uber, you can order groceries or takeout meals to be delivered.

Jessica and her Husband were great hosts. They were so kind to hold our luggage for us while we went to Sesame Street Place. They had snacks for us and Hudson had some toys cool toys to play with. Jessica set up the air conditioner for me so I would not be ton hot. I don’t like heat . Ha ha. Anything I needed she responded very quickly. It was plenty of room for my grandson and I. We absolutely loved Caryn’s place! The living area is clean and very comfortable. There is even a large TV room, great for watching movies. Caryn welcomed us warmly and showed us around her ranch and we even got to feed the animals - including her super cute baby piglet Newton. This is not only an Airbnb, it’s a whole farm experience. Recommended to anyone who likes animals and wants to spend time in this peaceful place.

Marbella and Ivan were amazing hosts. When I first arrived they were quick to welcome me in and show me everything the Casita has to offer. They were super accommodating and friendly. They even went out of their way to provide my wife and I with some pastries and a nice little thank you card. The entire Casita was amazing, it had a nice kitchen filled with utensils, a very spacious bathroom, and a comfy bed. They were even so gracious to allow a late check-out. Everything felt perfect during our stay and we felt super welcomed in their Casita. They are amazing hosts and we would be delighted to stay again.

As San Diego natives who have scattered across the US over the past couple of years, we were happy to find such a beautiful and reasonably priced home in our old stomping grounds. First and foremost, the view is amazing! It was so calming to stand out on the deck or sit in the sunroom and just take it all in. Moreover, the home was exactly as described and perfect for our needs. We had plenty of space and the bedrooms were all very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with all the necessities, and the hot tub was quite the added bonus. The only issue we had was the tv in the front living room did not have a working remote, despite us buying batteries and replacing them, but it wasn’t a big deal. They also were responsive when we mentioned it and tried to help us troubleshoot. Overall, when we come back for a visit, we will definitely look first to see if this home is available before we even consider booking anyplace else.

I had a fantastic stay at martins place. The house was clean and very comfortable. Martin was incredibly friendly and was quick to respond to any questions and turned on the hot tub for me and my family. Was about a 15 minute drive to sea world and not to far from petco park and legoland. I will absolutely stay here again if i come back to San diego had a awesome experience 🙂🙏💯

Every corner feels like it was made with care (and great taste!). But wait—there’s more! Katherine is the kind of host that turns a good stay into an unforgettable one. She went above and beyond to help me track some packages that arrived after I left. Who does that? A true Airbnb superstar, that’s who. If you’re lucky enough to find her place available—book it. I had a lovely stay with Dina. I am moving to the SD area and Dina made my transition so much easier. There were some minor issues at the beginning that were quickly addressed and resolved. Dina and Jose made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay and I am happy with the hosts, they went above and beyond. I also paid a pet deposit that was fully refunded as my animals are well trained!
