We have two bedrooms with a queen-sized bed in each and one room with a full sized bed. Also one of the bedrooms has a crib. Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. We are located back a long lane, yet right off of Highway 15 between Mount Vernon, IL and Wayne City, IL. When you stay with us expect to enjoy peace and quiet surrounded mostly by woods. Sit on our deck and enjoy the sounds of nature with a view of our pond. Our cottage is a spacious 4 bedroom home with a big kitchen stocked with all the utensils you need for cooking. Our swimming pool is open from May 15th thru Sept 15th.

"Quiet And Secluded Country Setting" BIG OAKS

We have a 2000 sq. ft. home located on 3 acres in a very country setting. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, master bed room has queen size bed, second bedroom has full size bed and third bedroom has 2 twin beds. Large master bath with large soaking tub and shower. Spacious kitchen is set up to cook if you like, . The back porch over looks the woods and fields with lots of deer siting. Our location is very quit and peaceful. also there is a garage you have access to.

Cozy Lodge

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful country lodge. It is back in a wooded area private, quiet, and peaceful. Enjoy the gorgeous sunsets while roasting hot dogs and s’mores over the fire. (Wood provided) There will be lots of wildlife to enjoy during your stay. We do use the pole barn located in front of the house so we are in and out some but mostly you have the place to yourselves but if we do cross paths we’ll be happy to meet you!

Very nice, recently remodeled Home in Fairfield. One bedroom with one and a half bath. The master bed is a king and amazingly comfortable. The Master bath is straight out of a magazine, tile shower, double vanity, and plush towels. The living room couch is a queen pull out. It's as comfortable as a hide a bed couch can be. Completely stocked down to coffee on us! Great location- midway down Main Street. Perfect central location.

A Place on the Water Lakefront - Spa

The home is beautiful and well-appointed with fabulous views. It was peaceful and tranquil. Our only disappointment was that the house was not clean. It had not been vacuumed, the base of one door to the porch was covered in ladybugs that we had to step over until we swept them, and the bathrooms were not clean either. I would highly recommend the place, despite its not being clean. The location is nice, being close enough to Mt. Vernon that you can reach restaurants and the art museum within 10-15 minutes. But you can also stay put and enjoy the lake, the views, and the well-appointed home.

10/10, one of the standout airbnbs I’ve stayed in. Definitely the most helpful hosts. Emma’s guidebook that was provided upon booking helped us plan our trip. Everything was clean and stocked with what we needed. Braxton and Emma went above and beyond and installed a firepit prior to our arrival after we inquired about one. If you’re going to Shawnee Forest, book this spot!
