Had a little mishap whilst there but James was very understanding and responsive. Helped us out straight away! House is in a brilliant location especially if you have kids. Local supermarkets and a park on the door step. Can get a little noisy if a night if you’re in the downstairs bedroom or lounge. Pool room was great to keep everyone entertained and a screen in every room just helped the arguments haha Perfect weekend stay for a local event we were attending

My family had a great second stay at Andrew’s place. As with their first stay everything was perfect. Would not hesitate to recommend Oak House to anyone

A big thanks to Jason for hosting us. From the moment we booked Jason communicated well with us, explaining the layout of the house given we had 2 young children coming with us. The property was clean, well equipped and bigger than the pictures suggest! It was ideally located for the main highstreet which was perfect given we were visiting for a birthday celebration on berry lane. Would recommend for anyone looking to stay in the area. Thanks

We stayed here for two months as we were visiting family close by. For a long term stay, we can say without a doubt we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped with herbs, spices, dishes and a variety of cooking tools. The bathroom had plenty of amenities for use. Spare bedding for change over days. Laundry facilities. Comfy bed with large tv for chill evenings. My husband and I were happy to have a ‘home’ to come home to after days out and about. There were stores nearby (Asda,Lidl, Starbucks etc) for groceries. Walking distance too. The house was very clean and there was even lovely thoughtful items such as bread and milk for us when we got there. Communication was great. Messages with questions responded to in a matter of minutes. Very kind and thoughtful hosts.

We had a wonderful few days at Winkley Hall Farm. Fantastic property in a wonderful, peaceful location with everything you need for a relaxing, long weekend break. Our communication with our hosts was great from the moment we booked, to arrival and throughout our stay. And the lovely welcome gift was an added surprise and greatly appreciated! We were sad to leave and would definitely recommend this property, and will look to return at some point in the future.

We stayed for one night for a family party. Claire was responsive, helpful and the house was beautiful. It felt like a home from home and the little touches like milk, tea and crumpets being left were a really nice touch. Would definitely stay again.

Only stayed there one night to attend a local wedding. Host was very accommodating in allowing access to drop bags ahead of check-in time. Accommodation clean and tidy. We had everything we needed for our stay. Directions were clear, but due to being down a quiet single track lane we thought we may had gone the wrong way- no such worries, as sign posted.

Great apartment, fantastic central location. Clean and spacious. Furnishing to very high standards. Equipped with everything that you need for a short stay.

Perfect for our weekend. The accommodation was perfect, in fact we were taken back with how there cupboards were full off useful things…. Condiments, sauces, toiletries and that’s just a few I can mention. Appreciated the milk, bread, butter, nice gesture and makes a difference to some places who don’t offer that. Host also helped us out when our car broke down whilst we were there and went above and beyond to help sort it out for us. Overall the place was lovely, more than I actually expected, clean, tidy and perfect. Would definitely stay again if ever visiting Wigan. Thank you

Absolutely beautiful place. Full of character and charm and felt so cosy we did not want to leave. We had everything we needed and Dawn is a fantastic host. Man’s communications were excellent and the stay was exactly what we were looking for. Given the location the price was extremely reasonable for the size of the property. Mak was even kind enough to gift desert which was delicious!

Such a lovely place, had a nice girly weekend for my hen do with my bridesmaids and maid of honour and the hosts were really sweet. They were happy to co-ordinate with my maid of honour so the whole thing was a really nice surprise and it was overall really private and peaceful with such stunning views. Would highly recommend and think we will definitely be booking again 🤍

We stayed here for a weekend away as a group of school mates all turning 30. The property was the perfect base for us, providing us with the best possible experience. We’re an active, activity based bunch and this stay had something for everyone. Multiple activities, from the pool table, darts board, table tennis, air hockey, and yes the Pool and Sauna. Many of my friends couldn’t believe just what we had found for this stay. Private use of the pool is a great bonus. All beds were made, fresh linens and towels provided. We used the kitchen to cook our breakfast each morning. There’s ample parking for 3-4 vehicles inside and plenty on street right next to the property, which is a quiet street so not a stress. Whilst the decor is aged, we are not particular on this and found it added to the charm. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and spots to relax. We would stay again! The host was fantastic in communication and response to questions posed and made the whole process easy.

Sarah's place was in a lovely quiet area. an oasis of calm. Really handy for the bus into town

A wonderful half term long weekend with our teenagers. Super quiet location, but close enough to Lancaster to make a dash into the city easy. Smashing property with jus the right mixture of character and modernity. Will be back.
