Cabin vacation rentals in Black Lake

We traveled all the way from Oklahoma, towing a boat to spend 6 nights at Becky’s and discover the area. We enjoyed our time there a lot! The house was very clean, super comfortable and spacious. The outdoor setting and games were perfect for our 2 teenagers and our lab. The area has a lot to offer! Becky was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend it!!!

This was such a phenomenal place to stay. The access to the river was lovely, and the entire house had so many great touches and details. The kitchen is very well stocked, beds and pillows so so comfortable. Location was fantastic and close to everything you need. I will definitely be back to stay here again !

Great Lake front cabin with lots of amenities. Boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, hot tub- kept our family of five, including 3 teenagers occupied for days. Love the addition of the gas fire pit on the porch off the living room- started and ended every day out there, watching and listening to all the lake has to offer. Great trail running right from east shore drive. We loved it! We will be back!

This is such a lovely place to just come and relax. it is a well-appointed house with a lovely bathroom. The hot tub was perfect hot private and relaxing. The kitchen was well-appointed. I will be booking this place in the future.

This was such an excellent place to stop in! The countryside is beautiful. We wish we had more time to enjoy the area. The hosts are absolutely wonderful and welcoming. We especially appreciated them bringing us coffee in the morning!!

Perfect little getaway that my husband and I needed. Not too far from needing to go to town but in the woods enough that it was peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoors, fire by the river, and enjoying the sounds of nature. The screen door for the sliding door was one ofmy favorite things. During the day we used it to listento the rain, birds, and for the nice breeze. It was great to have that scenery while having a cup of coffee and read a book in the morning. Their DVD collection was awesome, nice variety with some great classics. My husband enjoyed a morning run through the area and told me it was the best place he has ran so far. I definitely wasn't expecting there to be any kind of food/seasonings and they had extra things in the cabin which was awesome since I forgot the sugar for my coffee lol. Overall we loved it and plan to do another getaway with them before we move.

awesome little private spot literally surrounded by woods many dragonfly which is fun to watch best part is that they eat their weight in mosquito everyday. think I saw 2-3 mosquito in 3 days . really quiet private peaceful place highly recommended Rachel was seemless to deal with

We enjoyed the cabin over a family weekend. It was cosy and thoughtfully designed. We liked walking the trails on the property and watching the bird feeder. Christine went out of her way to help us make the most of our visit, even during a very rainy first day.

Diego was super responsive at all times with clear instructions on how everything worked. He was also very considerate, knowing it was our anniversary, and offered to meet us there or not in case we wanted privacy. Very accommodating, and since there wasn't anyone there the day before, was okay with us checking in an hour early! The nature around us was great if you like to see animals. The same can be said for spiders though. Probably not the best location if you're severely arachnophobic, though the cabin did come stocked with means to dispose of spiders. The cabin was decent, but Diego as the host is what sets this one apart. Will recommend!

Perfect place for a quiet peaceful getaway! Loved listening to the frog symphony and beautiful sunset. It was private and very relaxing. The cabin is small but perfect and very clean. Especially loved the loft and very comfy bed. Everything was perfect!

We had an awesome stay at Dawn's cabin! The place is really quiet and private. Even if the place doesn't have electricity and water everything you need is there such as water bottles, snacks, kitchen supplies, BBQ with gaz, wood, pans, candles and chargeable lights, blankets etc. Also we were there to celebrate my birthday and Dawn was really thoughtful by placing some cupcakes for our arrival. Self check-in was also really smooth and well indicated. I totally recommend you to book there. It was such a good weekend to reload our batteries away from the city. Thank you!

I can’t say enough about Virginia and her amazing retreat. We were looking for a simple halfway stop on our way home from seeing family in the US and found this amazing space run by wonderful people. It was a treasure and we will be back. This beautiful family is forging a new way of living and travel that is sustainable and gives me hope. She is a great host if you have children and are interested in forest school and learning about local history and geography. My son was free to run and hear nothing but nature sounds and then we took the ferry everyday into Kingston to explore Canadian history and culture and eat amazing food. We went to the Wolfe Island hotel to eat local wonderful food and visited the stunning isolated beach every night at sunset. Wolfe Island is a place like no other. I had such a great connection with the host and her commitment to the earth and the future. Thank you Virginia!

Amanda and Eric were excellent hosts. The Dog House on Dog Lake was just as described. Amanda and Eric were very friendly hosts. They greeted us upon arrival and then totally respected our privacy. We enjoyed the cottage and all the amenities. The Dog House was very clean and well stocked with useful items. We were 25 min. from Kingston which allowed us to enjoy a show at The Grand Theatre and a boat tour of The Thousand Islands. This is a great place to stay. We highly recommend it. It was simply a wonderful experience. It was a peaceful environment. The view was amazing, you could see the incredible lake and island view even from inside the house and the balcony was amazing. It was a dreamy place that I would definitely go back to. Also, our host was very helpful. They helped us with everything, I didn't think we would be this comfortable. It is a place that I can recommend to everyone with peace of mind. thanks for everything

We just finished our stay at this establishment. We loved it right away. The host has taken time and planning to decorate the house with a pleasant tasteful beach theme. We were holding a reunion with folks traveling from UT. The beachfront was outstanding. The solid ADK chairs, firepit, watercraft, and walk-in swimming with a sandy bottom were all perfect. The gas grill was deluxe and cooked evenly. There were plenty of games provided inside as well. For conscientious people, I suggest filling a bucket with water and putting it by the back stairs. This will allow you to clean your feet off before entering the house. Like other reviews, doing dishes was challenging, but we knew and brought paper plates, bowls, cups, and plastic silverware. When we did the dishes, we boiled the water it was not a big deal. I like to recline, so I did bring a few zero-gravity chairs. The host also makes it clear to bring your beach towels. Neighbors were friendly. Happy Camping!

We had such a wonderful time at this cottage. It's cozy and very comfortable. Beds are great. The kitchen is super well equipped. The deck is a peaceful place where you can enjoy nature. The restaurant in town is very good. Anne-Marie was very nice and lovely. We will be back for sure!

This was an incredible place to stay. Everything in the description was bang on, plus more. We were at a workshop at the Cordwood and the location was a perfect distance away. Our hosts were incredibly kind, even drying a sweater that fell in the ground outside the cabin. We would recommend this place to anyone!!!!!
