Situated opposite the town’s train station for the Llanfair Heritage Steam Railway. Its location affords easy access to the gateway of wales. Uneven flagstone steps to 1 double bedroom. Sofa bed in living room and single bed via steep stairs.

Modern, very comfortable and very clean. Sleeps 4, double ensuite room and double/twin room also ensuite. Outside area, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge. In a quiet village setting with two pubs serving food within a two minutes walk of the cottage. Free wifi, smart TV’s in bedrooms. Until recently Red House Cottage was run as a B&B but the owners decided to fit a kitchen to create a self contained cottage for self catering holidays. The cottage is on the side of our home.

Stunning views near Montgomery
Red Kite Cottage is situated just over a mile from Montgomery and five miles from Powis Castle, and offers free use of an EV charger. There are a number of well documented local walks and the hosts are keen golfers. We know several good eateries within five miles. The view from both the bedroom and the kitchen is one of many fine views in Montgomeryshire. There are two seating areas on the private decking area and sun loungers are available on request.

Sitting comfortably, in the wild meadow, above Upper Rectory is our delightful shepherd’s hut, well equipped for your arrival - idyllically located overlooking tranquil pastures and woodland, it, provides a cosy romantic and welcoming retreat, with a traditional wood burner to warm up the evenings. Ideal for walking and cycling, nearby nature reserve is home to 170 species of birds. Please note that WiFi is at best sporadic due to the rural location.
