House vacation rentals in Berrias-et-Casteljau

Due to personal circumstances we had to rearrange this holiday 2 times, of which Remy was very understanding. We booked the villa based on how well the photos looked but were really not ready for just how much better the place was in reality! Le Magnanerie is tucked quietly away in a totally idyllic spot in a gorgeous old French hamlet, boasting the most impressive westerly views across the private pool of the Cévennes, with stunning sunsets. The covered outside area is spacious and perfect to escape the direct summer sun, and the thick stone building is naturally cool. Comfortably set over 3 pretty floors with portable air conditioning in the loft bedroom area. Kids bunk beds are perfectly placed and even though everything is wooden, nothing creaks. Local agent Deborah was very helpful and after driving from the UK, we were pleasantly surprised to have had our best family holiday to date here! We rarely return to holiday destinations, however we will certainly be coming back. Merci

Magical place, set in the middle of nature! Interior of the house impeccable but the best is the exterior. With the summer kitchen, the pool, the view, the petanque court. Amazing, I would recommend!

A stay on the edge of perfection. Beautiful house, very pleasant, faithful to its description and allowing relaxation, relaxation and rest. In addition, the owner knows how to be present with responsiveness when needed, and to be more discreet. Which, for me, is both valuable and safe. I would highly recommend it.

Idyllic stay! The house is simple, nice and functional. The garden is sublime and beautifully maintained. The view is breathtaking! We spent 4 wonderful days resting in peace, reading and swimming in the peaceful pool. We didn't want to leave! Note that the location is wild so far from everything, you have to plan 30 minutes by car to access the shops. But it's really worth it! Thank you for the enchanted parenthesis!

Very large and pleasant house for large groups. Everything comes together for a good time. Too bad there was only one fridge out of the two that worked.

We had a great time at Claude's place. The house is very well-equipped, everything is thought out for the comfort of travelers (high quality bedding). It's best to have a vehicle to fully enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the outdoors as much as we wanted, due to the capricious weather and voracious mosquitoes. Claude is really a real plus in this rental, very welcoming, good advice, while remaining discreet, which allows you to enjoy the stay in peace. The small touches (bottle of rosé, olives from the garden) made us very happy and were more than appreciated. We highly recommend this listing!

We had a great week at Anne's place! The cottage is very nice, spacious and nicely decorated. Exactly like the pictures. You have a fantastic view and you have a lot of privacy as a guest. The village of Ribes is beautiful and small, and the surroundings are also beautiful. The contact with Anne was very good. We would definitely like to come back!

We just spent 15 days and the good weather was at the rendezvous, for those looking for calm and tranquility is the ideal place! Christine and Philippe are welcoming, warm, available and concerned for the well-being of their guests. They were good tips for sites to visit, both in the Gard and in the Ardèche which is barely 10 km away Many places to visit including the Pont du Gard, the Pont d 'Arc and the Ardèche gorges by canoe, the Aven Orgnac cave, the Sautadet waterfalls, the Nîmes bullring....) The house is well equipped and local shops are in Barjac 3km away We had a great time!

If you love peace, nature and freedom, this place is fantastic. A beautiful, diverse environment with many hiking trails just next door, but also further away. We explored the region by car and took several walks with the dog. But coming back was always a party, and then received a warm welcome from Wallace, in a nice, well-kept and tasteful cottage with everything. Admired the starry night from the deck chair and the last night a thunderstorm spectacle as a cherry on top. Haryhanta provided the delicious and fresh eggs in time and she was ready if we needed anything. Highly recommended and we would love to come back to discover more in the Cévennes at Harryhanta.

We had a wonderful stay in the village of Naves, the location of the house is ideal. This village is a haven of peace, you'll want to settle there..! This pretty house, very atypical, is carefully decorated and very well-equipped. A huge thank you to Frédérique for hosting us and for his trust. For families, there are plenty of activities to do in the area with children: walks, swimming, cave visits, tree climbing.

Beautifully restored, lovingly maintained stone house in the middle of nature. Very practical and very tasteful furnishings: Perfectly equipped kitchen, mosquito nets over the beds, beautiful terrace and small garden…The house is in a beautiful landscape with wooded hills, small hamlets, many streams and small rivers. Very friendly and accommodating hosts. An idyllic, very quiet place to leave everyday life far behind and admire the stars at night.

We had a such a peaceful, restorative stay at Lina and Petra’s Airbnb. Lina communicated with us and she was extremely helpful, even booked us dinner at the restaurant which was very helpful because we have very limited grasp on the French language. The accommodation is so so beautiful. We loved the little balcony with the wisteria growing all over. It was pure magic. The bed was very comfortable and big! The kitchen was perfect to make own food at our stay. Le Pont d'Arc was only 15-18mins drive. We went about 11:30 and the first carpark was full. So we went the next day at 8:30am and had the place to ourselves. Highly recommend get there early. We also went to another swimming spot, Plage de galets which was lovely too. (We like the first area, in the shade) we also did the Château Des Roure (Tower tour) in Labastide-de-Virac which was fun. The town is peaceful and stunning to walk around. I highly recommend staying in this Airbnb for comfort, beauty & accessibility to the region

We were allowed (2 adults, 2 children) to stay at Thomas' house for a week. The furnishings of the house really leave nothing to be desired, which you need for a relaxing vacation. When the outside temperatures rise, there is air conditioning for the interior and a pool for cooling off outside. The house is also an ideal starting point for numerous activities around the Ardeche, e.g. - Canoe trips from Vallon-Pont-d'Arc (about 15 minutes' drive) - Canyoning (about 60 min. drive) - Swimming in the Ardeche (about 15 min. drive) - Numerous stalactite caves (about 15 minutes' drive) We had a perfect vacation at Thomas' :)

It was a great stay with Anaïs and Mathieu. The apartment is very tastefully furnished, the kitchen very well equipped with everything you need. The apartment is relaxing and quiet in the vineyards. Thanks to the good recommendations, we had a very nice hike and drank good wine.

We are delighted with our stay at the sheepfold located in the heart of the beautiful Thines Valley! Philippe is very nice and available. He recommended us very nice walks. If you are looking for an authentic place, peaceful then run fast!!!

The cottage is perfectly equipped, tastefully decorated, and you can feel that everything has been thought out for the well-being of guests🙏. We have been really happy with this appartment. We stayed four nights with our 3 children and everyone was really happy. The appartment was really well equipped, there was nothing we missed. It was even better as we thought. You get a lot for money. Thibaut was also really friendly and replied directly on questions. We can definately recommend this place :)

very nice apartment, very clean. large bedroom with storage. spotless bathroom. everything has been refurbished. fully-equipped kitchen with lots of dishes and appliances. single-level with a garden. shaded terrace. I highly recommend it. I think we'll come back ourselves. Thank you so much for everything.

The property is lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and respectful and helpful with suggestions. Our only critique would be that the pool whilst lovely is not private and shared with the hosts who admittedly did not use it whilst we were there and if you like me love to cook the oven was portable and a slight challenge to use. The village and walks were incredible and the location near to Uzes, Nimes and Avignon makes for a lovely stay. A big thank you to Pascal and Catherine x
