Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Bermuda

Allison and Aaron were great hosts, totally responsive though working two jobs full days. I was there on a solo retreat for two weeks and lacked for nothing for my reading and writing project. The place was spacious enough to spread out, open a yoga mat, a sofa for naps, very comfortable bed, and a kitchen where I could have all the meals inside that I needed to. Best was a pretty direct walk straight up the hill and straight down the other side in 25 minutes to Horseshoe Bay Beach. Or, on lazy days just to sit in the breeze under the trees on the lawn. The bus stop, a grocery store (and diner) 500 yards away on Middle Road was very walkable with the groceries. I highly recommend and would be fine for a couple.

Ms. Elizabeth was an amazing host! She proactively reached out and arranged for a taxi pick up. She was extremely responsive and friendly. The house manager Gilbert was also super nice! The space is as described and had all necessary amenities. We rented a scooter and was located about 7 mins. to Crystal Caves, 10 mins. to St. George, and about 15 mins. to Hamilton and most beaches. There was a place to securely park our scooter at the house and the neighborhood felt safe. We had plenty of privacy and enjoyed the breeze sitting by the front porch during our stay.

Like other guests we found Sharon to be simply delightful. Very welcoming, accommodating and dedicated to ensuring we had a great time. Her house was as well-appointed for cooking as any airbnb we’ve ever experienced. And as soon as we arrived, Sharon kindly took us to the local supermarket in Somerset so we could stock up. Access to the beautiful Bermuda Railway is nearby and it affords an easy 15 mins walk to the Long Bay Beach. Only disappointment was that the local eateries in Somerset Village, other than take-out and Mr. Chicken, have gone out of business, apparently as a result of Covid years. Again, Sharon deserves a gigantic shout-out for her skill as a host. We felt very much looked after, and at the same time, free to do as we pleased. Takes a special touch to get that dynamic right.

Our stay at Sage Cottage was very enjoyable. A true Bermudian experience with hand crafted cedar doors, windows and beams. We loved the secluded atmosphere, with all the Palm trees, Oleanders and other native trees and shrubs that were in full bloom that surrounded the 5 acre property!! It was also very close to the bus and ferry routes, a short walk to Long Beach , which we practically had to ourselves for the whole week we were there! As well, we were 5 minutes from the pharmacy, grocery store and local restaurants, as well as, the Railway Trail. Our hosts were very friendly and dropped by daily to see if we needed anything. We will definitely be planning a return visit. The 3 bedrooms were perfect to accommodate us , our 2 kids and 2 grandchildren. I would highly recommend this Air B&B

Our family had an amazing time at Scott’s home. It was a classic Bermuda residence that was stylish and incredibly comfortable. The check-in process was smooth and communication with Scott was quick and easy. The location on the water was perfect, it was quiet and peaceful at night. We rented ev cars and toured the island daily. I’d recommend this residence to anyone visiting the area and would stay here in the future. Scott went above and beyond as a host and gentleman.

We enjoyed our week in Malcolm and Martha's beautiful house. It is larger than expected -there were five of us-and we didn't even use the dining room as the verandah and kitchen were so inviting. The setting is really lovely, lush and green. We absolutely loved hearing the birds during the day and the little coquí frogs at night. Malcolm and Martha were very welcoming and kindly let myself, my daughter and her husband stay in the house our last day as our flight wasn't until the evening. In Bermuda, you cannot hire a car as a tourist so we had to walk fifteen minutes to the grocery store and back or call a Hitch taxi to collect us. The beach is a ten minute walk away or a nicer beach is a short bus ride away. The Railway Trail is also close by which is easy to walk on away from the cars. The house, though, is very much their home. It felt more like being allowed to stay in someone's house rather than a house rental, but it's a beautiful home and we had a wonderful time.

We stayed a full week for our family vacation. The house was exactly as described and shown. Very nice, quiet and peaceful location. House was clean and well maintained. The pool was also private, clean and easily accessible. The location was easy to find and in a quiet neighborhood. We rented scooters for our transportation and were on the go most of the week. However, if you are not into renting mopeds the house is very close to the local grocery store, rail trail and bus and taxi stop for easy transportation purposes. All withing a 2-5 minute walk. Leila was easily contacted, very friendly and helpful. She is a great host and we would definately recommend this place for your stay. We will definately keep this place on our favorite places list and look forward to coming back again!

Beautiful house, good for a medium-sized group. Separate pool and pool house space were great to have, and secret little beach was fun as well. Great views. A little tricky to find / get picked up from without a car, but worth it if you want something out of town for a little more space.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 40th anniversary. Unfortunately Sabrina was not available but her daughter Alicia and mother were wonderful. The apartment was cozy and had a nice view of the water the biggest problem we had was getting to and from the public transportation which is only about a 5 to 10 minute walk but I was up or downhill. The kitchen could use updating but it served our purpose we did eat in couple times at night. The stay in Bermuda was one of the best trips we've been on.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Mark's great apartment in St. George's! It was so comfortable and in such a great location we could have stayed forever. The apartment is in an excellent location. It is a very short walk to the grocery/liquor store, the beaches in St. George's and the wonderful waterfront restaurants. And it is so easy to hop on a bus, ferry or taxi to see the rest Bermuda has to offer, like Hamilton, the beaches along the southern shore, the Royal Naval Dockyards and the many nature walks. The apartment was very well equipped, especially the kitchen, and very clean. Mark was an attentive host, from greeting us when we arrived and answering any questions, to checking on us in a few days to see if we needed anything. And the lovely little patio table was a great place to sit in the evening and enjoy the beautiful garden around us. We highly recommend Mark and the apartment and hope to stay there again some day.

Clean spacious home. Convenient to pink sand beaches and located near public transportation. Will definitely book again!

Desiree is an absolute sweetheart! Very welcoming, helpful and very present. We felt like we were getting the white glove treatment all the way! The home is very spacious, well stocked and meticulously maintained. Comfortable beds, large closets, perfect terrace, plenty of linens, towels, etc. Everything is thought of! Down to extra sunscreen, sawing kit and a surprisingly plentiful seasoning and spice cabinet. The house is in a quieter neighborhood, away from large tourist crowds, but all the attractions easily accessible by bus. Cute little beach is steps away, and bus stop is about a minute walk. What elevated the entire experience for us is how caring Desiree was. She picked us up from the airport, making 3 stops on the way ( supermarket, liquor store and a local restaurant) making it so much easier for us to enjoy our vocation and to not worry about logistics . One of the best, carefree and relaxing AirBNB experiences we have had over the years. Would unreservedly recommend!

Gil & Joyce are very kind hosts. Their Swinglo AirBNB is comfortable and well provisioned; it is a short walk down Khyber Pass to St. George’s. I stayed a month and rode the public bus a lot to learn the island . I used to live in Bermuda when I was a child and still have the same pleasant memories. The Bermudians like Gil and Joyce are friendly and helpful.

Such a lovely stay at Strattons! We were met with such kindness immediately. His recommendations were very helpful in planning our days! The place was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was so nice to have a full kitchen to cook meals! Southern coast beaches were less than a 10min scooter drive away. Stay here if you are looking for a peaceful, more local experience.

Clarence's place was one of the best airbnb we've stayed at and we travel alot. Nicely decorated and well designed space. He was very polite, friendly, helpful, extremely responsive very attentive. My new fav airbnb in Bermuda. A true reflection of a very hospitable Bermudian....amazing host. He even offered to pick us up from the airport and back..that was an extremely nice unique gesture/touch. We felt at home- didnt want to return to Canada. From the warm welcome and rum swizzles to the gorgeous gardens and pool, Llew and Bryony’s place is a find. The location is central to every place you would want to go on the island, and a peaceful calm retreat when you return. You are staying in a residential neighborhood, living amongst the locals, which is such a nice way to travel. We rented a small electric vehicle which was great for getting around. Yes your driveway is up a hill, and yes the vehicle did fine with it! No worries. You can charge several types of EVs there as long as they plug into a standard socket, just ask your rental company. If your vehicle requires a different charger, there are charging points around the island. We cooked daily and enjoyed breakfast and dinner by the pool with beautiful views of garden and ocean. What a setting! The unit is clean, charming, and comfortable. The whole experience is a slice of old Bermuda in the best way.
