Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Berat

Very good location, close to restaurants and the center. The self-check-in was convenient, and there was enough space for a big group. The lady downstairs was lovely. Parking is very hard to find and challenging due to narrow streets. But Overall, a great place!

Elvira might possibly be the best hostess I've met on airbnb! We arrived delayed into Berat but following her clear instructions to meet at the grocers on the street, she made the effort to meet us personally with a smile on her face! She taught us some Albanian words (she's a teacher in a local school) whilst directing us in parking our car. "Parkim" became our favourite word of the trip because of Elvira 😊 Elvira assisted me in carrying the group suitcase up the hillside to her home where she handed us each a local beer and some peanuts expecting we'd be tired from the ride. She was an angel! A quick tour of the house and garden proved it was exactly as the photos showed - clean, tidy and beautifully decorated. She'd left some Raki, homemade jams and eggs in the fridge for us to eat and gave us recommendations for restaurants, walks and sightseeing. The views from the castle were one of a kind!! Thank you Elvira 🫶🏼 I've never had a better experience😊 I wish I'd stayed longer!

We absolutely loved staying here - the house was exactly as described - even better actually! It was super clean, comfortable and had everything you could need (kitchen equipment, washing machine, bedding, towels etc)…The thought and care which has gone into making it a good home for guests really shines through. The pool and outside surroundings were beautiful - the pool was super clean and had lots of great floaties which our children loved. We were two families (7 in total) and we had lots of space and felt right at home. Valentino and his family are just divine! So friendly and hospitable - we were made to feel like family! We would love to stay again. It’s an easy 15 minute drive to Berat. We really will miss this wonderful home and family. Recommend staying here without a doubt - you’ll love it!

Ein Erlebnis! In einem historischen Haus mitten in der Altstadt von Berat. Grandiose Aussicht vom Balkon! Ein Schlafzimmer hat nur ein Oberlicht (kann nicht geöffnet oder abgedunkelt werden). Parken am besten in der Supermarkt-Tiefgarage (8€/Tag), von dort sind es ca 5-7 min zu Fuß. Dori hat uns empfangen und uns die Geschichte des Hauses näher gebracht. Zudem gab es Tipps für die Umgebung. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen!

This is the place to stay if you are visiting Berat! The place itself is very easy to find, and is historic and beautiful. Matilda and her family are the best hosts, welcoming us warmly with delicious traditional desserts and homemade Raki! The beds are so comfortable, and the nights are calm and peaceful. It is so worth it to stay in the castle walls; lots to do, see, and incredible views from restaurants just steps away. We so appreciate the time spent here for our honeymoon and would definitely choose this place again! Highly highly recommend.

Emplacement incroyable en plein coeur de la citadelle. Le jardin est vraiment très agréable et la vue depuis les fenêtres était superbe. Petit bémol avec le système de distribution d'eau très bruyant qui peut rendre la cohabitation à plusieurs compliquée.

Logement très accueillant et propre. Quartier très agréable. Dean et sa tante étaient vraiment sympathiques, mais nous ne savions pas que nous devions l'appeler à notre arrivée donc nous avons dû attendre 15 minutes. Logement avec climatisation, tout ce dont nous avions besoin et même de la confiture fraîche à notre arrivée! Merci beaucoup.

I had an amazing experience during my one-month stay at this Airbnb. The host family welcomed me like a returning family member and treated me wonderfully the entire time. They fed me on multiple occasions, offered tea and yogurt drinks, and even shared homemade fresh-pressed olive oil and fruit from the trees in their yard, making the stay even more special. I would have extended my stay if I didn't have prior commitments in Tirana. After almost three years of full-time solo traveling, this has been my absolute favorite stay. The apartment is situated in a working-class neighborhood, just a perfect 15-minute walk to the tourist activities. There's also a bus stop less than two blocks away, where you can catch a bus to town for just 30 cents. Additionally, my host kindly gave me rides into town several times. It was the perfect place to immerse myself in the local culture. I hope I'm fortunate enough to return someday.

The apartment is perfect! It was extremely clean, very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed to self cater. It is in an excellent location for sightseeing and shops. Communication was brilliant and Najda gave us such a warm welcome! We have no hesitation in recommending her lovely place.

Erika’s flat is beautiful and very spacious, with a huge terrace that’s perfect for relaxing. It was sparkling clean and looked even better than in the photos — the view of Berat and the surrounding mountains was amazing. The kitchen is well-equipped, and having a washing machine, along with the option to dry laundry on the terrace, was a big plus. The location is convenient, about a 30-minute walk to the center of Berat. While there isn’t a designated parking spot, we always found plenty of spaces around the building. Erika was polite, responsive, and quick to answer any questions. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Berat.

Die Wohnung ist genau wie auf den Bildern beschrieben. Ein absolut geschmackvoll eingerichtetes Schlafzimmer, ein sauberes Bad und ein separates Zimmer mit 2 weiteren Betten (welches wir aber nicht benutzt haben). Handtücher waren auch vor Ort. Die Wegbeschreibung hat uns sehr geholfen, die Unterkunft zu finden. Man nähert sich vom Hinterhof. Wir haben nur kurz gewartet, dann kam ein Cousin des Gastgebers und half uns sogar beim Einparken. Absolut hilfsbereit! Eine nette Dame machte uns dann die Wohnung auf und erklärte uns alles. Die Wohnung ist im 3. Stock - lasst euch bitte nicht vom komischen Hinterhof und Eingangsbereich abschrecken. Die Lage ist absolut super und alles ist fussläufig erreichbar. Wir waren nur eine Nacht auf Durchreise dort, können es aber getrost weiter empfehlen. Alles top!

Staying in this apartment was an amazing experience. Elona and her parents were incredibly friendly and welcoming - some of the best hosts we’ve ever encountered on Airbnb. Their hospitality was outstanding, and they made us feel right at home. The apartment itself was immaculate - everything was super clean and well-maintained. Getting there was also straightforward. From Tirana, you can take a bus to Berat from the South and North Bus Terminal in the north of the city. Bus line 5/B from the city center will get you there easily. The buses run regularly, and the trip takes about 2 hours. Once in Berat, it’s a short city bus ride to Elona’s place. Overall, this was one of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had. Highly recommended!

Great place, we liked our stay both in the flat and in Berat

Au delà de l'emplacement qui est favorable à une belle découverte de bérat, les parents de persida sont hyper gentils , accueillants et généreux. Nous avons eu droit à plusieurs attentions de leur part sans qu'ils soient envahissants. Le logement est super fonctionnel avec une vue très sympa et un accès a bérat très facile, pas besoin de voiture juste de bonnes baskets ( la côte est raide) . Petit bémol qui n'est pas du fait de l'hôte, prévoyez des bouchons d'oreilles un chien de voisins semblent vouloir accompagner vos nuits de son aboiement constant.

Hôte adorable et appartement fonctionnel. On sent que tout est fait pour qu'on s'y sente bien !
