Tambdi surla temple and doodhsagar waterfall are little farther away but worth visiting. This homestay is his retirement family home where he lives with his wife and two adorable doggies named ginger and pepper. The Loja (shop/store in Portuguese) on the water’s edge was a trading post. Canoas (boats) exchanged salt and tiles for farm produce. Restored, it’s now a self-contained space in the same rural waterfront setting, tranquil yet only 20 minutes from Panjim. It remains a working farm with normal farming activities. Experience Goa of long ago with early morning walks, cycling, or just nature watching.
