Vacation rentals with beach access in Bedford County

A great little place to stay at Smith Mountain Lake. My husband and I stayed for Memorial Day weekend and it was the perfect location to the state park. We were very comfortable and the bed was great! We also had a cold rainy day so we took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub. Will definitely stay here again!

The scenery was just beautiful. So quiet and peaceful. They thought of everything I would ever need here. (Bath bombs, hair dryer, shampoos) A wonderful get away space.

We love Peggy’s place. The view is wonderful, and everything well apportioned. This is our second stay and would gladly visit again.

My wife and I enjoyed a quick anniversary trip here and we were 10/10 pleased! The room was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. The location is amazing, from the view to the convenience of the pool, and dining. We were even able to rent a boat on site which was very convenient. Overall we had such a fun and relaxing time, and Susan was very easy to work with!

If you have a need to be in Lynchburg (ours was for a graduation at Liberty Univ), this quaint and peaceful room across the street from a small lake might be a good fit. I enjoyed sitting on the outdoor porch in the cool evening breeze. My wife smiled at the various bird house themed knick-knacks that were found throughout the room. This could be a bit challenging if you had little ones, but it worked well for our overnight stay in Lynchburg. It is clear that Denise has put a lot of thought and care into making a space for her guests to enjoy.

My partner and I were very excited to visit SML for a long weekend and this was the perfect place to call home while we were in town. While it was a smaller efficiency style condo, it was perfect for the two of us. Everyone was very kind, the property is very family friendly (including pets!) and it was very easy to either sit back and relax OR find something within driving distance to entertain us. We both said that we would easily come back and visit here again!

This home was very nice, and the private little beach was perfect for our little kids. Home was clean and we had a great time. Only thing I would want other guest to know is that if you plan on cooking your meals like we did, you want to bring a cutting board and peeling knife with you and maybe some mixing bowls and spices. We managed but I would have brought all that had I known. I would still highly recommend this home.

Beautiful home!! Very comfortable and spotlessly clean. We loved the porch and outdoor table/sitting area - it was beautiful and had the perfect amount of shade. The community was perfect for our family - we loved the beach area and boat dock. The host was very friendly and checked in to make sure everything went well. We enjoyed some of the games in the home at night as well

Our stay was great! The house was as described and looked like the photos. It's close to the amenities and was exactly what we were looking for. I Would highly recommend staying here and I would do so again.

If u want a home away from home this is your place. If u want tranquility from the world this is your home. The view was beyond beautiful, very nice set up. If I’m ever in the area again…. This is where I’ll be staying.

A hidden gem to relax in the mountains and surrounded by deer making it a dream place to stay. 10/10!

Great host. Very responsive. The place was extremely well maintained and very clean. Everything worked exactly as it should from the keyless entry to Internet access. The property is located .5 miles down a gravel road, which is rustic and dusty. The area is rustic as well. The price was a little high for a manufactured home but it was a holiday weekend.

Kelsey was probably one of my favorite hosts ever, easy to communicate with. I booked on short notice she was patient, helpful compassionate and understanding she responded quickly. I never had to wait for any length of time for her to respond. We rented a different place first, they weren’t very helpful at all or even willing to help…I was majorly disappointed & stressed Kelsey was exactly what I needed, she was helpful and accommodating. We traveled from Idaho, to attend my mother’s funeral. Kelsey was very friendly, sympathetic, understanding she was so kind and gracious to us. The absolute perfect host. A perfect home allowing us focus time to face our loss, grief & family bonding. Rather than stress over our accommodations. The house was PERFECT clean, quiet so well stocked I didn’t have to worry about “anything” or if I had forgot something all my focus was on my mom’s siblings, my kids, my husband…. I was able to focus on my family. Thank you

Loved our stay at SML! The coffee bar was a great touch and the towels were incredibly soft. Danielle and Ryan are great host. Would definitely come back!

This was our first time staying at Mick’s and our second at Bernard’s Landing. We LOVE the area and LOVED the place. The porch swing was my absolute favorite- the perfect place to watch the sunrise. Mick was very proactive with our needs, everything was laid out in the instructions, no questions needed. The decor was just like the photos and was perfect for our needs. It was clean and cozy. We are already looking forward to planning next year’s anniversary.

Great stay. Cute condo right above restaurant and store. Brought my SUP and used it a lot. Lots to do at Mariner’s landing. Great food and service at The Landing, Bruno’s and Bottles and Bites. State Park 7 minutes away is excellent for hiking. Lots of friendly neighbors! We’re ready to go back!!

Fantastic hosts!! Quick to respond and easy to work with. Room is even prettier than pictures and is so close to the water. We spent most of our time on the covered porch. Bed is super comfy and furnishings are very pretty. Everything you need is provided. Area is quiet and relaxing!! Heated pool was so nice and has a great view of the water. Kayaks were light so they were easy to get in and out of the water. A beautiful location perfect for a quiet getaway. Would definitely stay here again!!

First time staying at Smith Mountain Lake, and this apartment was perfect for my wife, toddler and me! Playground within walking distance, as well as a beach area that our son really enjoyed. Would stay here again!

My family has fallen in love with Smith Mountain Lake! The views are incredible and the water is so clean and clear. Plenty of great fishing. The home was beautiful and so clean! Jamie was so helpful! We hope to come back again soon! If you have a boat it’s so easy to get in and out and there’s a place to park your trailer as well as boat if you don’t want to rent a slip. We felt very safe leaving our trailer and boat on the property!

This place was a perfect fit for our family. We enjoyed the clean space and most importantly the view of the lake and pool! We will definitely be back.

Needed a last minute stay for my family including a dog, Eva was incredibly responsive and helpful. Truly grateful ☺️
