Newly refurbished Bespoke Self-Catering Apartment

MelanieRating, 5 stars5 days ago

Dooneen House - a tranquil, waterfront escape

SusieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Perfect last leg on our first trip to Ireland. Loved this home tucked away in a private, natural setting. Fergus & Kay’a home is stunning (design and decor/art), practical, and comfortable. This was our favorite home away from home for this trip. It’s perfect for nature lovers—even when inside you feel connected to nature at every turn.

An outdoor terrace showcases a stone-paved area surrounded by a low stone wall. Dining furniture, including a table and four chairs, is positioned for relaxation. Colorful potted plants provide a touch of greenery, while the building's stone facade is complemented by a corrugated roof and skylights.

Ein besonderes Haus mit Atmosphäre zum Wohlfühlen. Sehr schön als Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen rund um den Burren. Wir haben die Woche dort sehr genossen.

The Eco-Friendly Cabin

Nora was a great and friendly host. The cabin was clean and everything a small family needs, the fire is a lovely touch. Ideal location for walks to a beach and a short drive from an idyllic coastal town. All in all we had a great stay and would return no questions asked.

The Beekeepers: A secret Burren hideaway

MichaelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We spent a week exploring County Clare with one day in Galway. This house was perfectly located to take day trips in all directions without driving too far. The area around the house is rural, beautiful and great for walking; it is down a lane off of a main road so there is little to no traffic. A five minute drive takes you to Ballyvaughan, a village on the coast. Immediately adjacent to the property is the Ailwee cave and Raptor Center; both can be toured and the staff there are very engaging and eager to educate. We were pleasantly surprised that their store had great coffee! Ailwee entrance fee is waived with use of a code which can be found in the book describing the house. The house itself is comfortable, inviting and spacious with room to spread out. Our friend was preparing for a baroque choral performance; she was delighted that there was a piano and it was tuned! The kitchen was pleasant, functional and large enough for several of us to be in without feeling cramped
