Guesthouse vacation rentals in Basse-Terre

Directions were translated from French including the neighbours house names which caused confusion with our taxi driver. A more obvious house number would be useful on the busy long road. Nadine was warm and welcoming even though we had very limited French. We had a coffee and honey gift pack which was very welcome. The room was a basic studio but spotless and had everything including a two ring stove top and coffee machine. There was a counter top oven we had assumed from the pics was a microwave, and would have been useful if it was. The bathroom was small and functional- be careful with the hot water as it a solar heated and very hot! The garden and gazebo area was pleasant and we saw iguanas, skinks and lots of birds. Pool was fabulous! Walk to the beach easy, walk to Deshaies OK but avoid it at night as very few street lights. All beach restaurants shut in the evenings. During the day it’s advisable to book lunch anywhere. Food outlets limited at night without a car rental.

Rental 3 weeks in February in this beautiful cottage, well ventilated with an exceptional viewpoint. Let's talk about the warm welcome that was given to us. Notice to nature lovers. Hiking and river area all around the cottage even if it is better to be transported.

Very nice accommodation, very clean and very comfortable, with a beautiful sea view from the terrace. Close to shops and beautiful blond sandy beaches. Very warm welcome from Nadine and Paul, very gracious hosts and very attentive to their visitors. We would not hesitate to stay with them again. Really, a very pleasant stay, too short!

Great stay! We were hosted very well by Ghislaine and Jocelyn who are available and warm hosts while remaining very discreet. The cottage is quiet but close to amenities. We enjoyed the pool, the quality of the bedding and the terrace with a very nice view. We recommend the cottage without a second thought!

Very good stay at Verene's. A real little slice of paradise nestled in the heights of Guadeloupe, with a sea view. Waking up to the sound of roosters sets the tone: nature, calm and total escape. Special mention for breakfast on the Leroux terrace, where the brioche-style "pain au chocolat" are a delicious surprise. A property to remember to recharge your batteries with ease! 100% I would recommend this beautiful place! I regret not taking the place for more long time to be able to experience all what this place has to offer. The house is so so nice, ohh and that view to the islands...it is something wow wow wow you must see with your own eyes.. I promise! We had to leave very early so was no time for the breakfast, all tough I saw it on the table and I am 100% sure it was tasting the same fantastic as it looked..my mouth starts to water even now while giving you this review. After this place for sure the standards are changing :)

We received a warm welcome, and had special touches during our stay, thanks to Leila and her family! Great accommodation: clean, spacious, very well equipped, well-appointed outdoor space. We didn't want for anything, everything was perfect!

I would highly recommend this listing! It's very close to the water. The landscape is worthy of a postcard, you feel good right away. In addition, the feeling with our host was great from the start! He was very attentive and guided us in our choice of visits. I would definitely recommend this guest house to my friends and family. I would just suggest a newer coffee machine for breakfast, like a Senseo for example, but that's just a detail.

We had a great time, to the point that the next one is already planned. Franck is very responsive and the apartment is well equipped. We had the pleasure of being surrounded by Nala and Bella who brightened up our stay.

We had a great stay, the host very welcoming, friendly, was able to advise us correctly on the local restaurants, where we ate very well! The place is peaceful, and the pool is very nice. I would recommend this quiet and pleasant place!

We loved the tranquility of the place. Marianne and Simon hosted us very well. The location is perfect for exploring either Basse-Terre or Grande-terre. The Airbnb is quite well equipped on the other hand the washer is outside, it costs 3 euros to use it and you must have your own laundry soap. It should be noted that the air conditioning works in the rooms from 8pm to 7am. Great stay in general!

Accommodation perfectly suited to our needs and expectations. Very warm welcome. The host had prepared several arrival gifts for us (fruits, charcuterie, local rums...). Sarah and her mom were taking care of us. We would highly recommend.

Christine's accommodation is a peaceful oasis. The nights are peaceful to the sound of waves. It feels like home . Ideally located for accessing the beach and strolling. And Christine is a very welcoming and attentive person. I recommend this place without a second thought.

From warm hospitality to nearby recommendations, Fanny and Arnaud were impeccable hosts. We had a lovely stay at the Caribbean stopover. It was a very good starting point to explore the south of Basse-Terre, a short walk from the pier of Les Saintes, the trail of the backdrop or the bath of loves, to name a few. Four, two children and two adults, the place was very comfortable!
