Beach house vacation rentals in Basque Country

Brilliant place to stay in a beautiful town. comfy and secluded, very walkable for all the main activities in town. Quite a tight entrance to the property by car; we knew this ahead of time and ordered a small hire car but were of course given an SUV! We are not experienced drivers so this may not be a problem for most people!

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful setting. Paola was very kind at all times, and gave us good recommendations about the area. The house has huge spaces, tastefully decorated and with every detail. Unbeatable cleanliness and order. Perfect for spending a day exploring the area. We'll be back!

Ibone was really helpful and accommodating hosts and definitely went above and beyond, the place was spotless and really nice and clean would definitely recommend.

Clean and functional accommodation, well equipped and in a secure environment (fully closed subdivision). Communication with hosts was simple and efficient. Transportation is a short walk to Bilbao (bus and metro), the most beautiful beaches in the area will require getting around by car (or bus). A good experience.

We are delighted with the stay at Myriam's place!!! The impeachable house, new and super clean! We were a family of 5 and we had a great time! Although it is on the fourth floor without an elevator it was no problem! Both she and her son have been attentive at all times! They've made us feel at home! Super central! Thank you Myriam for everything! We hope to come back soon!

We had a fantatsic few days in Lucía's apartment with our toddler and dog. It is right in the centre of everything, overlooking a beautiful plaza with great people watching (and a really nice bar) on one side, and views of the bay on the other. It is spacious, bright and very comfortable. The photos don't do it justice! Lucía was so helpful and friendly and very responsive. Thanks for a lovely stay!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is amazing—just a short walk to a scenic beach that’s perfect for relaxing. Convenient parking on the property made everything easy, and having a restaurant and market nearby was a big plus. Don’t miss watching the sunset on the beach—it’s absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend!

Beautiful apartment, a nice view from the balcony, well equiped kitchen and a nice and clean pool that is shared by all the residents. The location is great, close to the beach and just a few minutes by foot to the city center where there are many nice tapas bars!

The house is better than in the photos, very spacious with enough rooms for a large group and very clean, also located very close to the sea and with views from one of the rooms. The garden with pool was also a pleasure, if we return to Bilbao we will definitely repeat

12 of us stayed with Mari Luz and had a great time. Everyone was comfortable and felt at home for the 4 nights we were there. At first I was worried that we might disturb Mari Luz but we didn't receive any complaints despite 1 or 2 late nights drinking around the dinner table. Also I'm extremely glad we stayed in Castro Urdiales instead of Bilbao since Castro was a much more relaxing and hospitable place and Bilbao was only a 30 min bus away anyway.

We were a large family party, ages ranging from 2 1/2 to 68 years. The pool and games room were well used at the end of our days; days spent at the beautiful beach. The runners among us enjoyed beach/promenade runs in the morning. A nearby surf beach was enjoyed too. There is plenty of delicious local food to be enjoyed. The barbecue in the garden was a great success too. Bilbao is easily accessible for a “city” day.

The host is very welcoming, the house is very clean, it smells good, the place is super quiet and soothing. I recommend it.

Great family stay at Sasha's (estupendo!!). The accommodation is in a great location with direct access to the seaside and a short walk to shops, bars and restaurants. Parking space is a super luxury given the difficulty of parking. It is very easy to shine around Zarautz to enjoy this beautiful region. Communication with Sasha was very easy and we were greeted very kindly by her dad for the check-in process. The only small downside of the accommodation is that the rooms overlook the main street and it can be disturbing at night if you are light asleep (provide earplugs if this is the case). But it's a very small negative compared to all the qualities of the accommodation (well equipped, very good bedding, sea view). We will be back with great pleasure and warmly recommend the beachhouse in Sasha!

Very nice apartment, new and clean. Good location to visit Bilbao and the coast. We've been very comfortable.

The design of the house is exceptional. Except for the cleanliness of the terraces and fridge, the house was fantastic. Luis Pablo was super friendly and responsive to every issue. The cool pool allowed us to swim every day, so the lack of air conditioning didn't feel during the day. Most of the bedding was okay, the second double bed 1.20 m wide was perfect for our teenager. Mosquito sprays and insects were usefully arranged at strategic corners. The sea is close to the house, leaving the choice between confidential coves or landscaped beaches. For athletes, don't forget your bike if you like the drop, and a hiking trail crosses the bottom of the street and travels all around. Finally, the view of the surroundings (sea on one side, hills and woods above the city, on the other; sunsets playing wonderfully with the architecture of the house) was what we preferred.

It's been a great few days with my family. Thanks for everything ♥️

Joseba was a great host. Very responsive and nice. The accommodation was compliant and we were hosted very well by her sister. We were able to leave our luggage and enjoy the city from our arrival. The accommodation is well located with a very nice terrace with a beautiful view, 2 beautiful bedrooms. It has everything you need. Very happy with our stay!

Great place - right downtown near the train station. Place was exactly like the pictures. Benat was very communicative and sent us check in instructions the day before arrival. Would definitely stay here again!

It was so nice to be greeted by Ainara. I really appreciate that. I also enjoyed the cozy, homey feeling of the apartment. The place offers everything you might need. It is centrally located close to nice bars and restaurants and with a very nice view!

Casa Merino is in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood in the mountains. In order to get into town (Castro Urdiales) and easily get to other areas of Cantabria, hiring a car or bringing your own is recommended. Pilar was very communicative and there to welcome us when we arrived. The house was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. Pilar also readily answered queries during our stay and gave recommendations. We would happily recommend Casa Merino.
