From the moment we walked in, we knew this place was something special. It has that rare, magical feeling where everything just feels right. The space was stunning—beautifully kept, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly peaceful. But the real showstopper? The views. Absolutely spectacular in every direction. We spent hours just soaking it all in. The pool was perfect—clean, refreshing, and surrounded by scenery that made it feel like our own private paradise. Every moment here felt relaxing and memorable. What really made the stay extra special was Paulo and his wonderful family. They were warm, welcoming, and always available if we had questions. They also gave us amazing local recommendations, especially for restaurants—we had some of our best meals thanks to their tips! Jose’s place, (Pedro is the Son of), has a lovely home in a quiet friendly village. The home was relatively easy to find, (could do with an Airbnb sign on the corner of the property, to help weary travellers). Once arrived and settled in, Jose is a BRILLIANT host, so welcoming, so generous and the home is comfortable and quiet. We enjoyed a meal in a neighbouring town, that Jose, happily booked for us, but there is all the available gear to cook for yourself. The area is close to the Duoro river, and Jose gives so many options for activities for this area. He is very passionate about the history and his town. We would recommend this home to anyone who is in the area.

This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

The house is very nice, ideal for two people. It is very cozy and nice. The area is quiet and neighbors friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning was a wonder. Maria Jesús and her very friendly husband, she leaves you with everything for breakfast: sausage, cheese, fruit, milk, juices, yogurt, butter, jam, coffee, village bread,.. It has a beautiful patio that is accessed by the side street of the house. Great stay, we will definitely do it again.

Loved the peaceful surroundings! Hiked the hills. Went to a fabulous winery, with reservations, Quinta Dos Castelares! Enjoyed sitting outside looking at the view! The fresh bread was delicious every morning, too!

Excellent location to escape the daily grind and enjoy the silence and contact with nature. The property has a Jacuzzi and swimming pool for moments of leisure and deep relaxation. The kids loved it. The house is very cozy, beautiful, and pleasant. Huge space and you can still enjoy some homemade fruit. I highly recommend it, and I will certainly return.
