Family-friendly vacation rentals in Barra de Navidad

Excellent location at Playa Grande, morning sun on the outdoor deck was wonderful and shade for the afternoon was appreciated. Lots of room -great size. Patio furniture needs updating (one chair un-useable). Shower pressure needs upgrading. Lots of dishes, cooking utensils, food wrap and assorted spices etc. from past renters. Need to purchase laundry soap and paper towels if nothing was left over from former renters. Lots of towels, bedding etc. Very good room sizes. Having access to the well stocked store on site and swim up bar was great. Releasing turtles before supper was an exciting moment for our grandchildren!! So many unique areas within close distance to drive to and swim/surf in the warm ocean. We would highly recommend Julie’s condo!!!

magnificent location, Mr. Gustavo and José Luis were always very kind at all times, the main room with a breathtaking view, the residence was located by its famous jacuzzi, the residence was very elegant.

It is a spacious house, generous with the entrance of light, it lights up all day and at night it is a delicious corner to take for a day, the house is beautiful and spacious we will definitely return

The complex is nice, the heated pools, the beach club an extra... the villa is nice and has all the amenities... well equipped (kitchen) each room with TV, air conditioning... very close to parking to unload luggage.

Susana was aware at all times, the place is as described in the publication, the relationship between the amenities of the condominium, the place and the price is super accessible, totally recommended.

This home has a marvelous view. The home was clean and America the caretaker was great. Anything I needed or asked for she was able to get. I loved the home so much I want to buy it.

We really liked the place. Even though the place is not right on the beach, you have everything on hand. It is very very nice and clean. We'll definitely be back. We went with our little dog and no problems at all.

I booked with my family, and we just needed 4 rooms since we were different couples. I think the place was ideal since I was also able to take my 2 dogs, who had enough space to be in the yard. The house has everything you need, it is only important to consider that one of the rooms is smaller and does not have a bathroom, so the people staying in that room will need access to a bathroom with a shower that is probably in the patio or in one of the rooms. The whole house has air conditioning and the host was always in communication. The nearby beach is not so friendly and that should also be considered, however I would book this space again for the spaciousness, the pool and the possibility of bringing my pets.

This is the second time I have stayed in Jorge and Natalia's apartment, communication with Natalia was always very good as was the service, the apartment is very clean and comfortable. We'll most likely stay here a third time

My husband, my dogs and I loved the house, it has everything for your stay, I especially liked the detail that it has an umbrella and chairs to take to the beach. The house is in a good area, you have a bar a few meters away and a kiosk. Fernando was very kind, he was always attentive, I would definitely stay at that house again, it is very central.

Great home in the middle of it all. Close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. A great private yard with a beautiful pool. Only drawback was it was a bit noisy but that’s what to expect during New Years. So put on the noise cancelling headphones and enjoy! Will definitely consider it if and when we go back.

Jorge and Belen were amazing hosts. Melanque is a wonderful town. Groceries and lots of restaurants are 5 min walk. Beach is beautiful. Loved our stay.

The place has a beautiful view, spacious and functional spaces, the bedrooms have very comfortable beds and everything is clean. The terrace offers a view of the Audiencia beach and there are supermarkets near the apartment to shop for everything you need. The pool at the top is very comfortable and with a full view of the beach.

Our stay was unbelievable; it went far and above our expectations. The condo was immaculate; pool and beach area were lovely. Easy walk up the beach to get a tuk tuk to go to town or the local market. Very satisfied and looking forward to returning next year.

Bernardo, the owner, was great to deal with and answered any communications in a timely manner. Check-in and check-out were smooth. The condo was very clean and well-equipped with a beautiful view of the ocean and mountains, even prettier than in the photos and bigger than expected. Lots of space to move around with a big walk-in closet to store stuff. There was comfortable furniture both inside and out on the terrace and plenty of room to dine. The kitchen had a nice long island and lots of storage. Cleaning and laundry were not included but you can arrange these at the reception for an extra cost. The unit is right above the ocean, so the view is spectacular but the waves can be very noisy at times. Another consideration is the abundance of stairs and steep hills in the entire development. Although isolated (a 25 minute ride to shopping in town) the area is beautiful, surrounded by nature and peaceful.

Excellent stay with family and friends for a birthday. The home was fantastic and lived up to the description. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Overall a fantastic location, we were very satisfied.

The house is in an ideal location to relax and forget about everything, it has a nice view and you feel a lot of peace. The house in general is fine, it is not new but it is in good condition, the bedrooms have what you need, the kitchen has good space, it has a large terrace to enjoy the outdoors. There are some details that you have to take into account if you plan to rent this house: one of the 5 bedrooms does not have air conditioning and it smells a lot like drainage, so much so that you cannot sleep there, raccoons come every night to look for food, if you don't mind then you can even feed them, we got a scorpion, since the house is on a hill it is exposed to certain insects getting in, the pool area does not have a bathroom nearby, you have to climb stairs and enter a bedroom all wet if you want to go to the bathroom, and most importantly, for older adults it will be very difficult to get in and out because there are too many steps to get there.
