It’s hard to even describe the beauty of this place, the cottage was perfect and the amenities are wonderful, everything you need to have a great time. The grounds are truly breathtaking, there is a real magic about this property, loved every minute. Gerard and Ann were excellent hosts, thank you!

My family stayed at Esther's place for 4 nights. We had the most wonderful time! The house has beautiful views of the ocean and is a short walk from both Inchydoney beach and the hotel. The house was clean and spacious with room for the whole family including our dog. Esther was welcoming and provided lots of great recommendations for the local area. We would definitely recommend Esther's place to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday by the beach!

I could not recommend a stay at these poolside cottages enough! Great value for money. Ideal for a romantic short break away. The location is perfect and the cottage is stocked with everything you could possibly need. The nearby town Clonakilty is worth a trip to and is easily accessible by car or taxi,

We had a wonderful stay! The house was absolutely perfect for our family of two adults and three children — clean, modern, and very comfortable. Everything was so thoughtfully prepared, from the fresh scones on arrival to the local ice cream, milk, and butter, which were lovely touches that made us feel right at home. The hot tub was a real treat and the perfect way to relax after a busy day exploring the area. There’s so much to do nearby — our family especially enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking in Rosscarbery. Clonakilty is a charming town with great spots for shopping, coffee, and lunch, and the Clonakilty Pudding factory tour was a fun and unique experience. We’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and well-equipped base to explore this beautiful part of Ireland.

Gérards place is a must-stay if staying in Clonakilty. We swam every day in the heated pool, played tennis in the afternoon in their private tennis court and walked the local area as well. Stunning grounds to walk as well around the property. 100% would stay again Thank you Connor

What a wonderful place for my daughter and I to spend two days. Such a beautiful location and treat to be in the sun by the pool. Gerard and Ann must work so hard to keep their treasure so lovely. The flowers, the grounds were exceptional and the cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Will be back!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Tom & Judy's Beautiful home , spacious , relaxing , fantastic views which included grazing deetlrs in the front garden and foxes , rabbits , hares and a multi dude of birds to watch every evening . On arrival we were treated to home baked tarts and cakes in the fridge ( which were delicious) , treats left for the pup , clear instructions of how to use everything in the house and Tom had no bother answering us straight away via text when I was enquiring about something in particular . Just a 5 minute drive from bustling Kenmare and you are not far in any direction from some spectacular drives , we would highly recommend staying at Tom & Judys place , it is out of this world , thanks so much again , Mick & Irene .

Eileen and Robert were perfect hosts. They could not have been more helpful and the cottage was spotlessly clean. The location was as excellent for touring and our hosts had given us excellent advise of where to visit. This was our first Air B@B and everything was perfect. We will definitely be going back in the future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Kevin's home, the house was as described and the location was great with lovely walks and views from the doorstep. The walk to zetland pier for a swim was the highlight for us, Hopefully we'll be back next summer.

Mairéad was the friendliest and most helpful host, giving us suggestions of what to see and do, even booking a table at a local restaurant for us. Even more special were the welcoming scones, butter and jam on the table and Mairéad turning up to greet us with an armful of beautiful, freshly cut garden flowers! Jenny the donkey and the local pusscat that joined us on our walks were an added bonus! All in all a lovely, homely cottage in a stunning location… highly recommend!

I have stayed in this cottage quite a few times over the years - and I always enjoy it immensely. The cottage is lovely, decorated in a style that suits its age, and set in the most stunning scenery. It feels as though you're in the middle of nowhere - it is so quiet the deer come right up to the patch of grass in front of the house in the evenings and there are so many different birds it's almost like an orchestra - but you're definitely not: There are two good restaurants in the area, a nice pub near a harbour, a lunchroom in gorgeous gardens and a very well stocked shop-and-tearoom only a 20 minute drive away. So yes, I will come again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hanna's Cottage. From the moment we walked in, it felt like home. The furniture and all the little touches really create an atmosphere, we found we did not want to leave and just enjoyed watching the view and the boats on the water. The cottage is beautiful and warm and cosy. We went for a lot of walks in the area, its really beautiful there and a lot of nice places to visit. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake! :)

My fiancé and I stayed at Eileen’s beautiful cottage for the long weekend, and we throughly enjoyed our stay. It’s located in a very peaceful, scenic, and quiet location, so definitely recommended for quiet vacations. The instructions to the locations were very clear, and Elineen was prompt in the responses. Also, towns like Skibbereen and Baltimore are about 10-15 mins away - which allows you to explore new places and get on a whale watching tour. We also met Eileen’s mother Jo during our stay, and she was very kind to refer us a few spots around to explore during our stay.

Absolutely loved staying at Karin's place! The attention to detail was truly impressive - from the thoughtful welcome treats to the carefully curated amenities, it was clear that Karin had put a lot of love and care into creating a special experience for guests. The space itself was beautifully decorated and perfectly maintained, making it feel like a home away from home. Karin was also super responsive and accommodating, making the whole stay feel seamless and stress-free. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay - thanks Karin for a wonderful experience!

Great stay with parents, ideal for them to have a downstairs bedroom. Wonderful local seafood at Casey's down the road. Amazing experience at Dede's and some tasty local beers and whiskeys. Had a wee walk around the coastline and were lucky enough to see Minky whales at the Baltimore Beacon. Couldn't fault the location at all!

Our stay in “ Cosy cottage retreat “ was special. It is near everything and short distance to all the local beauty spots. Above all that, it is in a beautiful place and so private . A very special house in a very special location on an island that will quietly steal your heart. The peace settles on you gently over the days spent in this beautifully designed house with everything at hand that you need. So close to the red walking loop that within 15 mins you are on the cliffs with magnificent views. Liam could not have been more accommodating as a host.

Wow, wow and wow. It way exceeded our expectations and just loved it . Spotless clean and lots of extra things that made our time extra special. Made to feel very welcome and wound highly recommend this place

Lydia and Martin's cottage is easy to find and beautifully located with great views of the Atlantic Ocean on the touristy yet not overcrowded Sheep Head Peninsula. The nearest town with shops and restaurants is Bantry and can be reached in 15 minutes by car. Description and pictures in the listing are absolutely authentic. The house is lovingly, originally and practically equipped. We felt very comfortable in the 12 days and enjoyed the absolute tranquility and good Atlantic air, plus sunshine all the time and no rain. The gas stove in the dining room in the morning is particularly pleasant, which heats the room very quickly. Taller people should be a little careful, as the lower rooms, as is common in these cottages, only have a room height of about 2 meters, so be careful with the door frames. But you'll remember that after the first day! Still a real insider tip!
