The 200 yr old cottage has been renovated with all the amenities for a comfortable self catering holiday. We are located 10 minutes from the main node of national motorways that can take you to Porto, Guimarães, Braga, Vila Real, Lamego, Bragança, Chaves and many other cities of great historical and tourist interest. You may use direct public transport for some of them. Amarante is our city. Small, with a rich historical center, crossed by the river Tâmega.

The holiday home was completely restored in 2021. It was originally built with 80 cm thick natural stones, which have been completely preserved. The house is imbedded in an orange grove and bordered by vines. It was formely the main house of a small farm. The farm (organic farming) is located in northern Portugal, in the district of Porto, in the municipality of Santa Cruz do Douro. The best way to reach the place is via the airport in Porto and then continue by train, Aregos station.

The main house was built in 1720 and is set in a walled estate with 30 hectares of vineyards and 6 hectares of woods. For nature lovers, it is the ideal place to get involved, and for sports enthusiasts to be fascinated by the offers we provide. Breakfast is included only on the first day.

Our home is our refuge! Only the chirping of birds, the plunging of otters break the soothing silence and the views of the Douro River. Two of the bedrooms have a balcony and terrace overlooking the river, as well as the living room, the exceptional private pool view.
