Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Azores

We were so amazed by this home. It is a very unique setting with a close up view of the twin islands. What stands out are the stunning ocean views from multiple rooms, walking paths along the ocean, unique layout of the rooms and well equipped kitchen. We felt right at home. Carla and Manuel, the property managers, were attentive and gracious, always going the extra mile for whatever we asked of them. Judith was a super Host, very responsive and helpful. Great restaurants nearby. Beautiful walk on the coast to Rocha, one of the best recommended by Manuel. We will definitely be back.

I would give this place 6 stars if I could but before booking be aware that the location is quite isolated and, depending on the time of year, the small bar/cafes in the village might be closed. So, bring provisions because it would a shame to have to go shopping once you have arrived. This place had everything we needed including lots of charm and some thoughtful touches that are increasingly rare these days.

This was probably our best Airbnb experience ever! A stunning, stylish oceanfront cottage — a true dream. We traveled with our 7-month-old baby and were amazed to find not only a crib, but also a baby bathtub and even a feeding bottle. Such a thoughtful touch! The house is beautifully decorated, cozy, and fully equipped. It felt like a peaceful retreat — we loved relaxing, watching the waves, and enjoying the privacy. The beds were super comfortable, with quality linens and towels. The home was warm and welcoming, with a lovely patio and even a telescope and binoculars to admire the ocean. There were also delicious local treats waiting for us, which made us feel even more at home. Special thanks for the late check-out — it allowed us to enjoy our final morning stress-free. We absolutely loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat!

We loved our stay at Marie’s house! Her and her family were so helpful and accommodating especially since we were traveling with two small children. This is the perfect house, especially if you are coming with kiddos! We loved the playroom, high chair, baby bed, and they even had children’s pool toys. We have stayed in many houses in several countries and this was one of our favorite stays! The location is perfect to visit either side of the island. We would love to stay again!

Wir haben uns direkt sehr wohl gefühlt, die persönliche Begrüßung von Silke und Tobias war sehr herzlich und die Unterkunft ist super schön gelegen, in einem toll angelegten Garten mit Blick auf das Meer. Wir wurden mit regionalen Aufmerksamkeiten überrascht und haben sehr gute Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants erhalten. Es war alles sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet, der Kamin im Haus hat es besonders gemütlich gemacht. Es ist selten so gute Gastgeber zu haben, vielen Dank! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tip Top! Klare Empfehlung. :-) Wir haben hier 5 Nächte verbracht und haben uns direkt wie zuhause gefühlt. Sehr saubere Unterkunft, ein wunderschöner Ausblick von der Terrasse + Jacuzzi auf das Meer und super hilfsbereite und freundliche Gastgeber. Die Ruhe die man dort ist ebenfalls unbeschreiblich. Hier braucht man aber definitiv ein Mietauto, wenn man noch andere Sachen unternehmen möchte, da man fernab der großen Städte wohnt. Für uns war es genau deshalb perfekt.

We would come back without second thought. Vitor's place was as described and we felt like home right away. Spacious, clean and nicely decorated kitchen (well equipped), living area and bedrooms. The place had all we needed for our 5 days stay. Host was very responsive, helpful and polite. Check in very smooth. We would recommend this place to our friends.

The property is gorgeous and the natural ocean pool is incredible!! Perfect place to stay on the island for a relaxing vacation. We had a beautiful stay here.

Luis was a fantastic host. He was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He left a lot of information regarding activities and local restaurants. He deserves top marks as a host. The apartment is lovely. It has lots of space, great lighting and absolutely everything you will need for a great stay. The off road parking is a huge bonus. We had a lovely stay at this apartment and would return in a heartbeat.

Eine etwas abgelegene, aber wirklich traumhaft schöne Ferienwohnung mit toller Aussicht und einem freundlichen Gastgeberpaar. Das Frühstück ist lecker und wird in einem sehr hübschen Raum im Haupthaus serviert, auf Wunsch gibt es jeden Morgen ein Ei von den hofeigenen Hühnern. Wir haben uns auch gut mit der kleinen Hündin der Gastgeber angefreundet. Wir hatten wirklich eine tolle Zeit bei Pierre und Catherine, vielen Dank!

We really enjoyed staying at Isabel’s place. It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need for your stay. We enjoyed sitting outside and in the cozy living room. The location was ideal for our daily road trips on this beautiful island. Isabel was very quick to respond to any question we had. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!!

Our family's stay at Sunrise - Casa Sao Joao was absolutely perfect, and we highly recommend! The location is ideal for exploring Angra - steps away from restaurants, shopping, with a view to the harbor from the Juliet balconies! The apartment felt larger than pictured - very spacious for our five family members, updated decor and very clean. We loved eating breakfast on the large patio each morning and relaxing outside after a busy day exploring beautiful Terciera! Elsa was extremely helpful - meeting us at the apt when we arrived and answering any questions we had. We were also provided lots of detailed information on things to do and see prior to our arrival which we really appreciated. The apartment was a centrally located home base for our many explorations around the island, and we had a wonderful stay thanks to the very attentive and prepared owner and host! We would love to stay again!

Nous avons pu apprécier le confort et la tranquillité de la Vila Alegre durant notre séjour à Capelas. L’appartement est spacieux, confortable et offre beaucoup de cachet. Son jardin privé est magnifique pour se promener parmi la végétation, les arbres, les fleurs et les oiseaux ou pour le contempler depuis le petit salon vitré, notre pièce favorite. L’accueil de notre hôte, Antonio, a été exceptionnel. Des bouquets de fleurs fraîches ont été disposés dans chaque pièce ainsi qu’une tablée dans la cuisine de produits locaux choisis délicieux! La Vila Alegre s’inscrit parfaitement dans nos vacances aux Açores telles que nous les avions rêvées : bain de nature et charme authentique!

Das experiências mais agradáveis num Airbnb! A localização é muito boa para quem procura umas férias na natureza, o lugar é muito tranquilo e tem uma vista incrível para o mar. No entanto, o que mais se destaca é mesmo a decoração, principalmente o jogo de luzes, que é ainda melhor ao vivo do que nas fotos! O check-in é muito fácil e rápido. O espaço estava muito limpo e organizado! Adorámos a estadia ❤️

We’re so thankful to have Jose as our host. He loves Sao Miguel and helped us experience its beauty and uniqueness. He was very helpful in making suggestions tailored to our interests and desired experience. Jose helped with hiking trails, restaurants and whale watching companies. La maison est très agréable à vivre, le seul vis à vis est avec la mer. Très paisible on serait bien resté plus longtemps. Le restaurant le magma est très bien pour le petit déjeuner et le dîner, une viande délicieuse. Des hôtes souriants disponibles.

Lotus House was sensational! We were a family group ranging in ages from 17 months old to 67 years old , and the house and property were comfortable and suitable for all ages. We were thrilled to see papayas and bananas growing in the yard. The kitchen really is well equipped- we fell in love with the espresso machine. There are comfortable mattresses on all the beds and plenty of towels and bath supplies. The heated pool, hot tub, and grounds made being at home so much fun. Even when it was 56 degrees and raining we were in the pool, and it was still comfortable. The AL Acores management team was impressively responsive. We had a very minor plumbing issue which was fixed within hours. When we arrived there were diapers in the crib, which was very thoughtful, and when one of the kids needed to see a doctor, we got excellent advice and thoughtful followup check-ins. I've stayed in a lot of airbnbs, and this is definitely one of the best.

Mooi domein, huisje met alle benodigdheden. Zeer rustig gelegen. Auto is noodzakelijk. Je krijgt heel veel informatie van de host. Geen bakkerij/ winkeltje in het dorp. Wel in andere nabijgelegen dorpjes en er is een broodservice. Enige minpuntje, weinig plaats om valiezen open te leggen.

This home has got to be one of the most beautiful BNB's I've stayed at! Like all the other reviews, the pictures don't do it justice! The property is immaculately kept clean, the finish on the home shows impressive craftsmanship, and the views from the private pool is exactly what you need on vacation! It's very private and peaceful. I loved being able to just sit in any of the many benches and just soak it all in. So much care was taken to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we need. The host goes the extra mile in many ways, including providing a welcome kit with snacks and drinks! The host was extremely helpful and responsive and kind. I could go on forever about how wonderful this home and host is, but I recommend you find our for yourself! Don't hesitate - just book it!

Wow. Just...wow. A beautiful, home in an absolutely stunning setting. Everything felt new and clean with modern but inviting architecture. The view from the kitchen/living room/balcony is gorgeous and peaceful. The pool is lovely and just steps away. The place was immaculate and Cleide, who manages the property, is absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. The house is a few minutes walk or drive to natural pools, outdoor natural pools, and a small but very cute market for groceries. Every morning, Cleide left us a box of fresh pastries and cheese and meat for breakfast. We loved this property and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to take a deep breath and maybe do some dolphin and whale watching :)

Great location and a beautiful home. It did have more stairs than we anticipated but was not an issue as two bedrooms are on the entry floor and other three on a level down. Living, dining and kitchen are on the lower third level. The pool did need to be cleaned. The Polaris stopped working before it cleaned the pool but was not of consequence since the weather was still too cool really for swimming. Be aware the hot tub is an inflatable and you’d really only have space for two but it’s on a great deck with nice view to the ocean. There were no restaurants really in walking distance but they are a short drive away and there are many great ones down by the water with beautiful settings. It was very nice to have clothes detergent and dryer sheets in the laundry area. We really appreciated that.

Ein sehr schönes Haus, durchdachte Architektur, die die Schönheit der Lage hervorhebt. Sehr hell, mit vielen Fenstern. Der Blick auf das Meer ist einfach wahnsinnig schön :-) Die Ausstattung ist sehr geschmackvoll und wie haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Absolut empfehlenswerte Unterkunft <3
