The earliest historical mention is 1417 and it's long history includes an invasion in 1584 by Protestants during the period of the Huguenot wars. The fort has maintained many original features including the old stone staircase at the front door leading up to a 4 bedroomed loft apartment . New villa, ideally located in Aubenas, a small town in the South Ardèche with all shops. Close access to the roads serving the Gorges de l'Ardèche and the Ardèche mountains. Villa with swimming pool and hot tub open in summer season according to weather (April to October). Off-season, the hot tub may be available upon request, for a fee. Linens provided (except pool towels). Pets may be allowed under certain conditions. Access to Netflix.

We are located on the edge of the village, close to remarkable sites, the Ardèche Gorges, Pont d'Arc, Chauvet Cave, pretty rivers, colorful markets and picturesque villages...
