Holidays by the lake Unden

In the middle of West Götalands unspoilt nature with its lakes and forests, near the big lake Vättern, about 5 kilometers from the village of Undenäs and far away from any through traffic, the small country village of Igelstad is located, directly on the lake Unden. The village is a small collection of scattered houses and farms, of which some are permanently inhabited, while others are used as summer cottages. Here, in a large clearing in the forest, the small farm "Nolgården" is situated. The house is a separate, well-equipped classic wooden log house, built in spruce. It was thourougly renovated in 2008. There is a private bathroom, kitchen and private terrace, Internet connection (WLAN) and satellite TV (Astra). A cozy fireplace and electric heating provide comfortable warmth. Directly from the house you can make nice walks in the unspoilt nature, pick berries and mushrooms, or walk to lake Unden, one of the clearest and most pristine lakes in Sweden. From the house to the west side of the peninsula, there is only 800 meters. Here you can have a swim or enjoy the sunset over Unden. The eastern shore can be reached in quarter of an hour via a forest path. By the shore a canoe lies ready for extensive reconnaissance trips to the beautiful deserted islands and quiet bays. But the area has much more to offer: the romantic Tiveden National Park, Lake Viken, Forsvik and the Göta canal with its locks, and the huge lake Vättern are just a few examples of interesting destinations.

The apartment is located very centrally in a separate farmhouse and consists of 1 room, kitchen and shower/wc divided of 43 sqm. In the bedroom, there is a shareable double bed, wardrobe, sofa group with TV. In the kitchen there is a sink, stove, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, as well as other equipment. One bed is in the kitchen. In addition, there are two foldable tourist beds and one travel bed for toddlers. Freezer available in a storage room next door.

Bed linen and towels should be brought yourself. Cleaning should be done before checking out and should be thoroughly done eg vacuum, dry the floors, dust-dry bathrooms and kitchens. Relax in a 2014 house in an unenclosed location. Modern kitchen standard and in the bathroom there is a sauna with sea glimpse. There is a simple eka and for those who want to paddle sup or kayak there is one of each. There are berries and mushrooms in the forests and in the evenings a nice sunset to end the day with. For the early morning, the day can start at sunrise over the lake. To Hällefors C it is 5km. Among other things, there is a grocery store, gas station, system company, pharmacy, health center, bathhouse, bowling.

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.
