'A day like a gift' is an experience-type accommodation located in the forest at the top of Domaryeong (700m above sea level) in Minjujisan, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. We have remodeled a wooden house (Dalbat House, 2005) and a family-built earthen house (So Young Hall, 2006) for our elderly parents, so that only one team of guests can stay in the entire house. Recently, a tree house (Wol Forest House, 2024) was built on a 6-7 meter-high Japanese cedar tree in the Wol Forest, and this can also be experienced for free. The experience is divided into traditional cultural experiences and ecological experiences, which are offered in a variety of paid and free experiences. The mud house was built with wood, earth, and stone from the moon field, like the mountain village of our ancestors. You can experience lighting a fire in a traditional house, where you can feel the wisdom of a house that is cool and warm. The words 'A day like a gift' are engraved in the merchant room of the mud house. We will try to give everyone who comes here a simple gift called 'a day like a gift'.

Sunna and Grandpa's Log Cabin_Sun

Welcome to Sunna and Grandfather's Log Cabin_Sun. There are two themes of the sun. The first is "Looking at Gongaksan Mountain". I made the wall diagonal so that I could see Gongaksan Mountain, one of the 100 most famous mountains in Korea, and the sky above it. The second is "Breath, Rest". I didn't paint the room at all and finished it with cypress wood, hoping that the body and mind of the guests can comfortably breathe and rest. Also, I tried to make the place feel as spacious as possible, and to feel like everything is connected, by not blocking it as much as possible. The Sun is a house that Sunna's father made himself, except for the sink and table set. If you comfortably sit on the deck or the window that the sun is proud of, you can enjoy the dance of the clouds and the wind spreading over Mt. Gongja and the sky above it. The sound of birds and grass bugs moving around, and the sound of the stream across the street that you can hear if you listen carefully will comfort your heart.

The soft light coming through the window and the texture of the high-quality material that stands out even more are similar to the floor of a quiet hanok. Here, I want to share with you the precious items I have collected for a long time. The props, each with their own traditions and stories, will add a special meaning to this space. The old lighthouse staircase from the Czech Republic captures its own beauty and as you climb it, we feel like we are traveling at the same time as the past and the present. In addition, the harmony of the extremely Korean landscape, which is in harmony with the wooden pillars and tottaru unique to Hanok, has a deeper story over time. Share my story in this place where the traditional beauty of Hanok and the unique aesthetics of Korea meet to complete a new level of depth.

In the morning the sea can be seen in the distance and at night there are many stars. It has been 10 years since I moved to Jeju Island. We live with unparalleled satisfaction throughout our lives. Starting in 2019, we're building a new home in front of us. Yeongwol Bonglasan 450 is a private chalet with starlight pouring out. It is the only heavy wood structure single-family home on the property of 2000 pyeong, so the private feeling is attractive. It is a 15-minute drive from Yeongwol Station, so the access is good. At night, there are a lot of stars pouring in and the sound of birds that change every season.
