What an amazing and tranquil place to stay, sit on porch, listen to the water and watch deer stroll through the yard. Very convenient to many of the surrounding areas and restaurants but we were content to just enjoy the peacefulness, read and relax. We ate at Smokehouse of Steve's and did some grocery shopping there and at the Saxapahaw General Store. This place to stay has the magic!

Jonathan is a great host! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — he even left some duck eggs in the fridge for us. The house is beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommend!

Jim’s place was awesome! We have stayed at several homes in the area over the past few years and his is definitely our most favorite. Perfect getaway for our family. The house had everything we needed and more. Very relaxing atmosphere. Jim was quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns. Can’t wait to get back to Jim’s place ASAP!

I could recommend this beautiful cabin a million times over. As we drove down the private road and pulled into the cabin it was everything we thought it would be and more. It was so beautiful from the front yard/ porch through the front door and throughout the entire cabin. They did an amazing job building this cabin paying attention to little details. The furniture is comfortable and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the screened in porch. And the walk down to the water was so peaceful. I could totally see myself living there and wish I did! So happy we found this hidden gem and cannot wait to return.

Lovely cabin home, matching decor, fully stocked, comfy mattresses, and great amenities. Felt private but was close to extracurricular activities we had planned (spa, winery, steakhouse). Enjoyed the hot tub and wanted to have smores at the firepit (compliments of the host!) but the windy weather made a fire unsafe. Maybe next time!

The cabin was perfect for our extended weekend stay. It was super easy to find and very private. The cabin was well stocked and had plenty of room for the two of us and our dog. Katie had tons of great recommendations on things to see/do and there is plenty of space around the property to get out and stretch your legs or run the dogs. 10/10 would stay again in a heartbeat.

Matt's place was absolutely beautiful. It was just as described and communication was excellent. There is so many amenities in the house. Great Coffee area, King bed was very comfortable. The property was beautiful and quite. House was clean. We loved staying there and would highly recommend and would stay there again.

Great stay! Rustic cabin in the woods with a beautiful view. Was familiar with the Tanglewood area already. Had a great walk around the park and enjoyed a birthday party at one of the picnic shelters. Interior clean, towels fluffy (could have used a few extra, since we stayed several days.) And, water pressure was excellent. The only negative would be WiFi. We couldn’t get it to work. So, make sure to have plenty of Data. Other than that, we give it an A+ and would definitely stay again .

This sweet cabin offered a great stay for our last min family get-a-way:) The host was very responsive and helped us for a smooth check in. There are also lots of shops right outside the park if you need “camping” supplies you may have forgotten to pack. Would def recommend

Peaceful and relaxing stay. We had everything we needed upon arrival. The Grandkids were never bored between hiking to explore the river to running under the trees playing tag to roasting marshmallows in the firepit. We even had a movie night on the projection screen.

Great host just left my bag and somehow they can’t find it. Not sure what’s going on but definitely a great host.

The place was amazing booked it for my wifes bday and our anniversary the pictures do not compare at all the place looks even more amazing in person it was very clean it was very peaceful being there Ranin was very pleasant to deal with and communicated back and forth almost immediately with any questions or concerns i had the pool and hot tub couldve used a little cleaning but it was just opened for the season so im sure itll get the attention it needed overall the place was amazing i 100% plan on coming back to this place

Log Out was perfect! Clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The host was very responsive and provided excellent recommendations. We would definitely stay here again. Had a great time staying at the cabin. It was well equipped and comfortable, and spotlessly clean. We would definitely recommend it. The pool was perfect for those hot days. The garage game room was fun and exciting for everyone.

Kathrine was amazing! There was a slight hiccup when checking in, which was not her fault, and she responded quickly and handled the issue immediately. The surroundings were peaceful and we loved staying there.

Peaceful, private and clean. Met expectations and then some. We really enjoyed ourselves, as did our dog, and appreciate hosts allowing our furry best friend to be with us. Beautiful field and natural surroundings. A lovely escape. Road noise is detectable as per the information, but did not detract from our experience. The sound of songbirds in the morning was heavenly. Saw a Carolina Wren sitting on five eggs in its nest. Excellent communication via messages and written and app instructions. Love the outdoor lights. Very impressed the owners are aware of nature’s need of darkness, so turned off outdoor lights when not in use (outdoor lights confuse migratory birds, for example) and felt safe. Hoping to return soon!

This was the most relaxing, peaceful and carefree weekend we have ever had. My husband and our 2 kids and 2 dogs had the most fun, and we didn’t even feel the need to be on our phones or watch tv! The cabin felt like home; so much so, that we didn’t want to leave. My husband and I are already planning a trip back. Carey was an amazing hostess and we are so appreciative that she opened her home to us. The views were breathtaking. We literally sat outside all weekend. We only went inside to cook and sleep. Oh! And we got to enjoy a meteor shower Saturday night! Super awesome!! And, even cooler, there’s a dollar general market at the end of the main road! Coolest thing I’ve ever seen! So you don’t need to bring a bunch of food! We drove 5 hours to come stay here, and honestly, I would drive 10 just to come back. This cabin was every bit of home and we can’t wait to come back!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! It was clean, comfortable, and filled with thoughtful details. The only issue was that the dishwasher wasn’t working, but overall, it was a perfect spot just minutes away from Hanging Rock. The fire pit was perfect for relaxing at night, and the views were spectacular! We hope to come back soon!

The cabin was exactly what we were looking for, we absolutely loved it. It was very clean, comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make meals....everything was as described. We had a great time fishing and relaxing on the dock. Diane was very helpful and had great communication. We would definitely return, we had an amazing time!

We loved our peaceful stay in this cozy little cottage! The pictures were very accurate within è exception- the shower has been updated since the bathroom photo so we had a lovely freshly tiled and renovated shower! Everything was well stocked and had some items that we had forgotten - there were qtips, flossers, an extra razor, plenty of tea and coffee and a well stocked kitchen with spices. There was even milk in the fridge for us! It was a very quiet and peaceful stay. We took our pup on long walks each morning and evening and the bed was super comfortable. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at this cabin while my home was undergoing renovations and chose it over a hotel because of its charm and unique character. Built in 1812, the cabin has a historic feel with rustic details that make it one of a kind. Even in the summer heat, the air conditioning worked surprisingly well and kept the space comfortable throughout my stay. The cozy loft bedroom, clawfoot tub, and original wood staircase really added to the experience. There’s also a wood-burning fireplace, which I didn’t use because of the warm weather, but it adds to the charm. The host was incredibly friendly and gave me a personal tour when I arrived, which made me feel right at home. At night, the stars were absolutely stunning without any city lights—just a quiet, peaceful setting surrounded by trails, pastures, and a lake. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

This cabin is beautiful and quietly tucked away, but still very close to Raleigh and all the other big cities. The spiral staircase is stunning, but make sure you are prepared to go up and down at night haha. All jokes aside it seriously is a beautiful cabin and kept in pristine condition. Bonus points for an extremely comfortable bed and AC upstairs in the loft and downstairs! Would 100% stay here again!
