The place was fabulous, Roberto was a great accommodating host. We would definitely come back if we come back to Sao Miguel. The house is great for a large group, with large accommodating rooms, a beautiful backyard with an amazing view. Location is central on the island so not more than 40 min drive to anywhere you would like to go, 20 min to Ponta Delgada (the largest town/city). Only comment for improvement would be the air conditioning, it is only in one area of the house, not throughout, so the bedrooms can be warm if you are a custom to A/C in bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you Roberto.

Tip top! Clear recommendation. :-) We spent 5 nights here and felt right at home. Very clean accommodation, a beautiful view from the terrace + jacuzzi overlooking the sea and super helpful and friendly hosts. The tranquility there is also indescribable. Here, however, you definitely need a rental car if you want to do other things, as you live far away from the big cities. That's exactly why it was perfect for us.

Ruben is an amazing host, with top recommendations and makes you feel welcome. He went above and beyond to welcome us with a gift basket (and took into account our dietary restrictions). Cottage is nice, with the hot tub and sauna in great working condition. Great way to unwind after a day of exploring / hiking

We had a lovely stay here! The apartment is beautifully designed, with a stunning sea view, a well-equipped kitchen, and a spacious, modern bathroom. The balcony was perfect for enjoying our morning coffee. There’s a popular restaurant right next door, and although the apartment is located a bit outside the Ponta Delgada city center, it’s a peaceful area with enough parking nearby. We had a car, which we’d recommend, but also walked into town along the scenic coastline-it takes about 30 minutes. All in all, a great base for exploring the island!

We had a great stay at Home Sweet Home during our trip to Sao Miguel! The house was clean and well kept. Our family of four, including 2 teenagers had plenty of space and all of the amenities worked well for us. It is in a great location on the island. It’s is pretty central so easy to drive to sites in either direction.

We had a fantastic stay at Tara & Edmundo’s place - the house was incredibly cosy, beautifully furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. A highlight was definitely enjoying our breakfast in the garden which overlooks the ocean. Tara was incredibly easy to communicate with and always replied quickly to any questions we had. She provided detailed instructions prior to our arrival, which made check-in a quick and easy process. A real treasure of a place that made our amazing trip to the Azores even better.

Great view from the balcony, nice spot to have breakfast or an afternoon beverage. Beach is great…unless it is really windy and the waves are rolling in hard.

Simply the BEST! Max's house was absolute perfection for our group of 6 friends (3 couples). With a week on São Miguel, this beautifully quiet, coastal home was our ideal base. We all had our own wonderful personal space, while the living and dining areas easily accommodated us all. Mornings began with leisurely breakfasts on the veranda (and occasional dolphin spottings!), nights were spent in comfortable beds serenaded by the sea. We enjoyed cooking big meals in the well-equipped galley kitchen and exploring local restaurants. Max was a stellar host, no, actually the BEST host – leaving fresh fruit, bread, and wine, helping with local dining and sightseeing suggestions. Parking for two cars was ample, the pool is lovely and the nearby black sand beach was a rugged, stunning walk. We really could not have asked for anything more, it was perfection! 😊

Absolutely breathtaking view of the coast. Lovely welcome basket with some local goodies and within walking distance of a nice little restaurant! Parking is limited and streets are tight so be prepared if bringing a car, there is a free lot right across the street. Small tourist tax will be charged that isn’t mentioned in the listing but overall a great place to stay! Thank you Fatima for sharing your home with us!

A very nice house, tastefully decorated, very well-equipped kitchen and the best of course the terrace with magnificent views over the Atlantic. The communication with Sven could not have been better, he informed us in advance, tips for supermarkets and restaurants were also available. A small path leads right next to the neighboring house down to a small beach with great rocks and beautiful surf, really great. We had a very nice time here! Clear recommendation.

The property was stunning. within an hour of being on-site, i wondered if there was a way for me to live by the pool full time. The view...WOW. Unfortunately, the english language has not evolved enough to do the view justice. It's that beautiful. I would gladly stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. There was everything you need-and more. The view from the accommodation over the well-maintained pool and the surrounding area overlooking the harbor of Ponta Delgado were fantastic. The dog made you feel safe on the property at all times. If you want, he's the best buddy. The host is extremely friendly, helpful and speaks very good English, which made the stay very pleasant. Pedro not only gave tips for Sao Miguel, but also recommended sights at our other stops on the other islands. The central location on the island makes it possible to reach any point of the island within 1 hour. We will be happy to come back.

Aloha to Ohm was a peaceful haven at the end of our long trip. It was very lush and beautiful and our room was very comfortable. Pawel was very welcoming and offered us a great dinner recommendation and gave us a small tour through the gardens. It was a great jumping off point for exploring the whole island!

This was a very well situated home that felt private and secure. The unit was bright and clean. The kitchen was stocked with basics needed. The bathrooms were clean and modern with plenty of toilet paper (could have used tissues). We were given 2 towels (one for home and one for beach/water activities) and a hand towel. I would have liked an extra towel for the week long stay. Storage in the bedrooms was great and loved the room darkening blinds! I personally felt the beds were too firm. The couch was equally as firm. For 2 people, the living room furniture was adequate but if you’re a group of 4 or more, there isn’t enough seating. The dining table seats plenty! The balcony furniture was great and my son loved lounging in the hammock and enjoying the surrounding beauty. The beach is literally a 5 minute walk with a decent restaurant on the beach. A rental car is a necessity to get around. Being centrally located meant easy access to all the island has to offer. Great stay!

This place is absolutely beautiful! We are in the green nature overlooking the sea. You can hear the sea in the apartment, even the windows closed! We had all our meals on the small balcony and enjoyed the site a lot with the pool. A true haven of peace! José is very welcoming, it feels like home! Go visit the village downstairs which is very friendly, there is a delicious fish restaurant within walking distance. A great place where you want to come back!

Our stay was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better. Peaceful. Nice to be out of downtown Ponta Delgada- but convenient enough to get to and enjoy the Festival and the city when we wanted to. The house is strategically located on the south shore and perfectly located to drive to the island’s sites. A couple very nice restaurants are within easy walking distance. The ocean pools are right across the street. We enjoyed whale watching, hiking and traversing the Island, seeing all the sites. Ludovic was a txt away and helped out whenever we needed! Our 8 day stay went by so quickly, but it was wonderful.

The property was beautiful and clean. Paulo was the perfect host with great vibes, conversations and local recommendations. The view from the balcony is second to none. This was the perfect getaway for us. Can't believe it's just an hour drive from Ponta Delgada Airport. We highly recommend Paulo's apartment, as well as visiting the beautiful São Miguel Island. We'll surely be back!

This place is just the best. Our whole family loved the house and our kids loved feeding the animals. Sandra was super helpful and patient with our crazy family.
