We spent a few wonderful days in this house and were absolutely delighted! The house is very clean, well maintained and cozy, you can see that it is really taken care of. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail — there were many useful things in the house that made life more comfortable and convenient. A special pleasure is the spacious terrace with a stunning view. In the mornings, we had breakfast outdoors, enjoying the silence and beauty around. Everything around was very quiet and peaceful — the perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Hosts are a special thank you! Very friendly, attentive and always ready to help. It was easy and pleasant to communicate with them. This house has become a real cozy corner for us, and we will be happy to come back again!

Loved our stay, thank you again to Jorge. Everything was perfect, a haven of peace. We wanted a relaxing vacation and that's exactly what this house offers. The horses are a real plus, it was a pleasure to see them every day. The setting is beautiful and the house is very well-equipped, we didn't want for anything. We'll be back as soon as we can!

From the moment we arrived , Alexandra welcomed our family and made us at home. The establishment is incredibly designed, unbelievable views and smells of fresh flowers. It seems impossible to write something new about Maria and her wonderful place at the Douro River that has not been already commented and praised by previous guests. The 5-star review rating for Casa do Rio is very well earned: it is a piece of heaven, tucked away in the Douro Valley and Maria - and not to forget her husband, Jose (who does not get enough praise in other reviews) - are exceptional hosts. We stayed for 3 weeks, with a number of our friends coming to visit us for shorter stays. Maria accommodate all of our changing check-in and check-out needs without a glitch. We enjoyed taking advantage of the many activities and entertainment options - including massages by Hugo (a master of his craft) that the location provides. One thing to be aware of: There is no shopping option and limited restaurant choices available in walking distance, hence a car is almost a necessity for a longer stay.

We loved our stay at Casa do Professor. It was so quiet and peaceful. Lovely views, beautiful house inside and out. It worked well for a day trip to the Duoro wine area and another to Viseu, it was wonderful to come home to. Also nice walks in the general area (one was from the house, towards town, onto the ecopista). Lovely, quiet area full of small villages. Easy driving, groceries and restaurants nearby. We cooked a few meals and had what we needed. Having the washing machine was helpful. Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, yummy pastries delivered by Antonio's parents. Antonio was responsive and gave a lot of helpful suggestions in response to our questions. Highly recommended!

On our trip to Portugal, the Douro Valley was the highlight of the trip from the storybook views to the spread of freshly picked cherries, homemade preserves and wine awaiting our arrival to the cleanliness and comforts of a beautiful home perched high up on the vineyard terraced hills. The game room was an incredible surprise - there are seven eighties arcade games along with a ping pong table, a foosball table and an infinity game with over 150 board games built into the table. The hospitality was second to none. Gabrella, the property manager, was one step ahead of us ensuring that we had everything we needed to make our stays one of the most memorable. Sephi, the owner, is one of the most generous people we have ever met. His passion for region and willingness to offer his time to you is amazing. We spent one morning touring his winery, learning the old way of making wine and enjoying the fruits of his labor – an extraordinary experience not a just another Air BnB.

I so enjoyed my stay in this stunning stone house built by the host's direct relatives! I was truly charmed by the soft tinkling of goats' bells in the pasture, the adorable village dog known and loved by all, a private porch, a crackling fire on a chilly night. This village and it's people are really special, experimenting with organic farming and regularly offering multi-generational events. I was even invited to a village party that included impromptu music, singing and dancing. Self-taught musicians played accordians, guitars and ukuleles while their neighbors & relatives danced. If I moved to Portugal (I wish I could!) I would want to vacation here for a month every year. It's a perfect spot for a writer's retreat, quiet reflection or uninterrupted time together as a couple. The kitchen is a fully functional kitchen, with all the pots, pans, implements and appliances you could possibly need to prepare and serve a meal for 10 (even an immersion blender!)

This is hands down one of the most beautiful and scenic places we have ever stayed, the view of the river and its surroundings are breathtaking. The hosts were incredible, they walk you through every aspect of the house and send you local recommendations for places to eat and hiking. We loved it some much we contemplated extending our stay!

We are a family with 2 children and we loved the space, both the interior, which was extremely tidy, clean and cared for, and the exterior, where in addition to the pool with pleasant colors, there is a huge garden, children's space, living space for games and barbecue. I loved the old machine with all the 80s and 90s games completely free, as well as the projector connected to the TV and Net account that we could use to play movies. Thanks for a great stay.

What can I say - from start to finish we had a great time at Aqua Villa Madalena. Our purpose for coming here was to attend Rally Portugal. The apartment was central to where we needed to go to see the stages of the Rally. Apart from this, the apartment was exceptional - so clean. Sonia as a host was so responsive and always available when needed ( which I hope wasn't too often for her!) Our children really enjoyed the pool, the place was so peaceful and quiet! An all-round fantastic holiday! Thank you so much Sonia and family!!! Hopefully we will visit again another time!

A true Gem in Porto! Staying at Sonia’s villa in Porto was hands down one of the biggest highlights of my entire trip to Portugal. While I enjoyed many places across the country, Porto truly stood out – and a big part of that was because of this incredible stay. Honestly, I found Porto to be even more charming and enjoyable than Lisbon – cleaner, cozier, and far more relaxed. The villa itself felt like a true home away from home – spotless, thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed even a nice pool, a beautiful view on sunrises and sets and incredibly comfortable. You can tell Sonia genuinely cares about her guests’ experience. Sonia was an exceptional host – always available, super friendly, and incredibly fast with her responses. She gave me fantastic recommendations that made exploring the city even more memorable. I’m already planning to return to Porto, and without a doubt, I’ll be booking with Sonia again. If you’re visiting Porto, this is the place to stay – no question

This home is a gem! We love it! It is so spacious with 4 bedrooms and a huge terrace the size of a one bedroom apartment. The view through the huge windows overlooking the neighbourhood and forest is so beautiful and relaxing. However, you must have a car to go about as not much is walking distance (also no side walks). The place is quiet but not too quiet. The road at the front gets quite busy sometimes but the noise is not disruptive at all. The huge table in the living room was perfect for working remotely. The white lighting in the house is great for working. There's also a lot of sunlight as there are sliding doors in every room. It can get cold sometimes but the house is not humid at all, and the AC heating heats up the house easily. Shower is great. Spacious bathrooms. The kitchen is huge with everything we need for cooking. We're also really grateful to have a dishwasher! Diana is very friendly and helpful when we have questions. We highly recommend this place and the host! :)

We had a lovely stay here, the only negative point is the parking 400 m uphill.

Rui very attentive, the house is amazing… everything very organized and clean, I see the care and love in every corner of your house! I felt at home… The energy of the place is spectacular. I loved it!

I loved my stay! Check-in was very flexible and extremely easy. Very good organization so we could be more relaxed about the check-in time. The house is amazing, I easily felt that I loved living there. The place is super quiet and peaceful and allows you to relax and enjoy the rest. D. Maria Luísa was very, very dear. She promptly sent all instructions and always answered all questions. She always had a word of appreciation in every message. Definitely a place I recommend!

the house is private with amazing views, miguel and his cousin were both very friendly and even offered a late checkout. even with cloudy weather the pool stayed warm enough to enjoy.

It was a fantastic stay. I was very surprised. The photos are good, but the place still surprises you in a very good way.
