Polenta and her husband were so lovely to work with! There was some unfortunate damage to the cabin prior to our stay so they swapped us into the larger Lakehouse without asking for anything extra. It was a dream of space for getting a bridal party ready (the big bathroom 😍) and a relaxing escape afterwards. I would absolutely stay with them again!

Melanye’s place is the perfect spot for a quick and quiet getaway. The cottage is tucked back behind the owners residence and we didn’t hear a peep the three days we were there. The cottage itself is outstanding, with every amenity you could need or want for a short stay. Melanye is so thoughtful and the love and care she puts into her lodging is evident by the cleanliness and spotlessness of the room. It smells so fresh and clean. The bed is oh so comfortable with such cozy bedding and the bathroom was spotless with such a nice, relaxing shower with a rain shower head too. She had everything we needed there… including a steamer…because I didn’t bring an iron, so that was perfect! The coffee was delicious…and to top it all off, Melanye went out of her way to bake us THE MOST scrumptious raspberry crumble cookies I’ve ever tasted! This is the second time we’ve stayed here, and we’ll do every time we are up this way. Thank you again Melanye!!

I booked a last minute stay the day of check in and Joe kindly messaged me shortly after that the cabin is already ready and that I may check in earlier if I needed to. The cabin was a perfect getaway for me and was very clean and cute! I enjoyed sitting outside by the pond especially at sunset. I was greeted by 2 cats outside that kept their distance but enough to hang around and enjoy the weather with me. Also the bed is very comfy. I would definitely recommend staying here especially if you’re looking for a nice little getaway from town. Excellent service from the host!

Loved staying here! It’s always hard to travel with 3 little kids but having a home that feels so homey made it so much easier! It’s feels nice and secluded on a bit of land and a trail to walk basically in the backyard, while still being centrally located. I really couldn’t pick a better place to calm the whole family down after long days on the town.

We had a GREAT experience at this spot. It’s such a beautiful location and there were beautiful horses right outside. We even saw owls flying around the trees! It was surprisingly spacious and super super comfortable. Highly recommend!
