Villa vacation rentals in Argyll and Bute Council

We booked this place for a family get together and we could not have had a better time. The house is beyond expectations and was very spacious for our large family. The facilities and rooms were well equipped and very clean. Lots of amenities were available. Susan and her mother came to visit us and they were extremely friendly and helpful with anything we asked them. The location, views, rooms and the host are all 5 stars. I definitely will be coming here again and would recommend this place to anyone without hesitation.

I would be hard pressed to remember a better equipped house. the hosts had literally thought of everything-from crabbing buckets to pizza cutters. on top of this of this to house was absolutely pristine and everything was very new and extremely well laid out and decorated. this is a fantastic base for up to two families to explore the local area. two minutes from the beach and from the local hotel. can't recommend it highly enough!

Large and comfortable space ideal for exploring Ayrshire

Kim was an excellent host and the house was great - bags of room, lovely furnishings and what a setting! The view was stunning! Highly recommend! There were a few minor issues with cleanliness when we arrived but Kim was incredibly proactive and rectified immediately.

This place was incredible. Such a lovely house with amazing views, couldn’t be happier. If you’re looking for a spacious house for a big group of you or a big family, this is the place. We were very much looked after with all the utilities we needed. Can’t really fault this place. Thanks again!

We had a great week at Oaklodge. The house was cosy, comfortable and very well equipt. It's location right on the shores of Lock Sunart was absolutely stunning with fabulous views from every room. We enjoyed watching the eagles and otters and being able to get straight down onto the beach. Daniel was very helpful throughout our stay with great recommendations for walks and sea food. We would definitely like to visit again.

WOW! The 1000 characters allowed in this review is not enough to get across to you exactly how amazing this property, its location, and Daniel the host are. Ardnamurchan is probably my favourite place on the planet, this was my first visit back here in many years, I wanted to bring my family here so that they could create some similar memories that I have from the area from when I was a child, I think it is safe to say, job done! This property helped to make that happen. This is an exceptionally nice property, which was the perfect size and layout, with the perfect facilities for our group, who's ages ranged from 3 to 80 years old. The location being so close to the sea was ideal, as the kids could play on the beach, we could launch our kayak easily and we had such a rich and diverse variety of wildlife for us to see. Daniel was incredibly friendly and he shared some awesome local knowledge with us which I feel massively enhanced our time there. Hope to be back real soon. :-)

We had a great time on our friends stag do, the place was clean, full of amenities and things to do and still very peaceful with it being surrounded by nature. We were greeted as we arrived and got help pretty much instantly if we needed information or a hand with something within the property. Thanks for being great hosts!

This was a wonderful place to stay. There were 6 of us, and it was the perfect size. We also used the kitchen to make multiple big meals with no problems— so many pots and pans and utensils! We had a cozy night by the fire (in a beautiful fireplace!) drinking whisky. Tobermory is a magical place and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It’s worth the price!!

This is a lovely historic home in a stunning location -- you can walk to the town in 10 minutes but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere when you look out the front windows at the amazing views of the sea and islands. The house is quirky and beautiful, and there was plenty of room for two families of four. We only used the dining room a couple times, but the kitchen counter with stools is fab for breakfasts., and morning coffee in the LR was perfect. Very helpful directions were provided. Tobermory was a good base for visiting puffin colony on Lunga and watching the dolphins play near Staffa; walks up the coast were lovely as well.

Lovely house in a stunning area. Great for families and dogs. Great open play downstairs, extra play rooms.

Our second stay at the lodge for a perfect family getaway. Idyllic location, great views, use of Cameron House facilities included, restaurants close by and a short walk into Balloch. The Lodge is well maintained and spotlessly clean and tidy. The host Claire is great to deal with and gives you lots of information.

We had a brilliant stay at Claire’s lodge at Cameron House. Location was spot-on, and the kids loved all the activities that were available to them, especially the swimming pool, and the park. Lodge was a perfect size for a small family, and Claire was excellent in the lead-up, during, and after our stay, answering any questions and offering local recommendations, and various discounts etc. We will definitely be back!
