Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Arco da Calheta

I think this is one of the best scenic app on the island. I have not seen such spectacular sunsets anywhere. The pool is perfect for swimming after tours. There is also a gym, overlooking the ocean that my husband used. The only thing to know is that it's a good idea to bring earplugs because a garbage truck arrives across from the bedroom quite early in the morning. But that shouldn't discourage you from booking. Graca is also a flexible host and allowed us to stay 4 hours longer because we had a late evening flight. Thank you!

Apartment is on the edge of being luxary! Very nice location, great view

The apartment was just amazing ,we had 6 adults staying in the apartment and it was so spacious ,3 large bedrooms ,2 with en-suites and another bathroom located right next to the 3rd bedroom,location was great ,with a lovely sea view from the balcony and close to restaurants and a large supermarket. The apartment had everything we needed. including a washing machine and tumble dryer. My son made use of the gym and we enjoyed using the pool. Jordão and Claudia were easy to contact and responded immediately, gave us clear instructions for checking in and checking out . We used the Bolt app to get taxis to travel around which we found excellent and reasonably priced. There is a parking garage under the apartments where you can park a car if you choose to do a rental car . although we didn’t have a car ,we found walking through the parking garage a great way to avoid the steep hill. we will definitely hire the apartment again when visiting the beautiful maderia island . It's the small things that make a place great. Nice towels, good cutlery, new kitchenware, all very nice and peasant)) Sea view from the balcony, close to supermarkets and car rentals. Just generally a nice place

Nice apartment to stay for a long holiday with beautiful views of Praira Formosa. Infinity pool, ample space, well equipped kitchen and washing machine. Free parking in the apartment's garage. The location was perfect being just outside of Funchal with easy access to ER 101. The apartment sits up on the hill with a short walk to the promenade; you can walk either towards Camara de Lobos or Funchal. Lots of restaurants on the promenade and on Estrada Monumental. There is a supermarket (Continente) just 2-3 blocks down the street from the apartment. The local host met us at the apartment to show us around. The apartment was clean and comfortable coming home after a day of hiking (purchase trail tickets 3E on Simplifica for all the PR# trails). A car is a must if you are going to hike and see Maderia. No Jacuzzi and gym is old and poorly equipped.

The apartment met all expectations. Furniture good, beds good. Bed linen is also fine. Towels and toilet paper are amply provided. We were able to park the car in the garage under the building. The parking space is very tight but street parking is actually not possible so recommended despite the tightness. We had a seat Ibiza with an inch or 2 space on each side. The coffee maker made it, but within half an hour we got a new, really toppie. Restaurants a 100 meters walk and a nice harbor, supermarket also a 150 meters away so close. We have enjoyed it!

If you like urban comfort in a brand new property with a beautiful ocean view, this is a great place. Great starting point for trips to other parts of the island. Secure parking in the underground garage in private parking spaces. Large apartment, tastefully and luxuriously furnished in a guarded area of apartment houses. In my opinion, it comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests - each room has its own bathroom with a toilet. You have access to the relaxation zone in the garden of the apartment house, where there is a swimming pool overlooking the ocean, sun loungers, fitness. A few meters from the house there is all the essential amenities - a large supermarket, shops, a café with a bakery... The host responded to our communication extremely quickly, politely and friendly. Everything worked. He was willing to accommodate our arrival and departure time requirements, even outside of official times. Overall, a very pleasant stay in an excellent apartment with a professionally communicating and helpful host. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you next time!

This location is perfect - the balcony provides are a picture-perfect view of the bay, along with spectacular sunset views. The accommodations are clean with a very nice layout. The kitchen is well-equipped - just like home. There is everything you need within walking distance - restaurants, shops, ATMs, bakeries and easy access to the local seaside promenade.

Nice appartment in funchal with swimming pool and parking. We enjoyed staying at this appartment for a few days and kids loved the pool and the available board games. The beds were confortable and the appartment was well equipped.

The best host I have ever stayed with through airbnb. Lionel and Carla are super, super hosts!! The property is immaculate, very spacious and on a superbly situated development. The beds were super comfy, great black out blinds too. There are many fabulous local restaurants nearby or you can easily hop onto a bus just outside of the apartment block to Funchal. Lionel and Carla really go the extra mile! If you require any help or information the response time is immediate! Thank you for making our stay in Maderia so perfect! We will be back!

Lovely clean and functional apartment. Really relaxing within easy reach of supermarkets, shopping centres and restaurants. I was mountain biking and there were no issues with my bike being in the lifts or anything (maybe a few funny looks) but all in all a good place and close to a fabulous coffee shop.

The village is perfectly located for an extended holiday. Anastasia assisted us in planning starting with providing assistance with parking pass, hiking maps all around the island, any silly requests we had at our stay. And her replies where prompt and professional, providing 2 and 3 options for every inquiry we had. We really enjoyed our stay.

Not only were the views amazing from every room, but the apartment itself is very comfortable, impeccably clean and conveniently located. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

The owner is very nice lady and communication with her was easy and clear. She offers all stuff you need for comfortable accommodation. The hostess is a nice woman, easily found a common language. Upon arrival, she was waiting for us in the apartment, she showed us everything, told us everything, exchanged Whats app in case of need. So there was no problem with the communication. Only positive emotions.

Katharina was an excellent host. While the house was close to downtown and had all the amenities we needed, what we like even more was how incredibly responsive she was to our messages and how accommodating and understanding she is. When we had to do a late checkout she accommodated us which was very helpful for us. I would strongly recommend any property hosted by Katharina.

Beautiful place, beautiful view, nice pool. Lovely villa that is nice and spacious for 8 people. Private parking (for two cars) is also convenient. We enjoyed our stay with the eight of us! The only comment I could make is that the pool boy/handyman could communicate a little better... he just walks in and out, which doesn't feel good.

Blue Villa in Arco Da Calheta is the perfect holiday getaway! The villa is private, spacious and luxurious. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home, Carla was friendly and very welcoming. The villa has everything you need for the perfect relaxing break, it is well located to access all areas of Madeira Island.

Very clean, comfortable and modern villa. Lots of parking spaces, gym, large terraces, lots of bathrooms, beautiful spacious bedrooms, modern and brand new appliances, dishes and other equipment. During our stay, we had only one request - to provide us with a barbecue grill. The owner bought a brand new grill within 8 hours. Everything was very good. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Madeira. We recommend this accommodation to everyone!!!

Had a wonderful time in Madeira. The location is perfect, with amazing views and plenty of outside space to relax and hang out by the pool. The host was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. We have not coomplaints.

We had a great stay with Julio as our host. He communicated very well. The location was incredible and the space was clean. The internet connection was not very strong, but this was not a big deal as we spent most time exploring the island. We enjoyed our stay very much.
