Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, 4.4 cu. ft. refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two people. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible. Pets are never allowed – this is a pet-free space ($200 penalty).

Beautiful place, access to lake from boat ramp was very convenient- if bringing boat make sure to drop it off at ramp before going to house- if your not familiar with this area may seem like your going to the middle of nowhere down a long gravel road and you’ll swear there is no chance of it leading to a lake- but dont worry- it does, and its well worth it- we caught Salmon from boat dock

I had the pleasure of staying one night (was supposed to be two, but life happened). The location is perfect. While it is on “The Hala” grounds, it is at the far end somewhat secluded from the rest of the property. It was clean and obviously well-kept. While the restrooms are communal, they were incredibly clean. The location in relation to surroundings was perfect for me. I was rafting on the river the day of staying and wanted a place I could get to that wasn’t too far from the river. This exceeded my expectations as it is right on the river. The bed was comfortable. There were plenty of places to plug in electronics. The microwave and full-size refrigerator made the evening and the next morning very convenient. The property has lights with sensors at night that illuminate the main walkway/driveway as well as the stairs. While I carried a flashlight out of habit, it wasn’t really needed. Anytime I had questions, Donnie answered them within just a few minutes. Overall, great stay!

Carlos was a wonderful and attentive host. His well stocked cabin was beautiful and had everything that we needed. The pictures on Airbnb didn’t do the property justice. It is the perfect, peaceful mountain get away. I slept better than I have in a long time. One day, I hope to have a cabin just like this one. 💜
