This place was great. Awesome hospitality. The space was more than enough room for 3 people with all the amenities that we needed and then some, the area was very secure. The beach is a short distance away and was beautiful. Cannot say enough how great the place was. Thank you very much for the pleasant stay.

The house was beautiful and as described. We took our grandmother there to get her out of her home in the city for a few days and it was just perfect. She was happy and at peace. It was worth it. The pool was great and the hosts were friendly.

We selected this home based on previous reviews and photos, and were so happy that we chose it! Roberto, Eneida and Monica were so gracious and hospitable. We appreciated the connections that Roberto helped us with , to have our day on the lake with jet skis for a couple of hours from a local rental...use of the kayaks on site....and the boat was available for rental if we wanted to use it. We were able to order some delicious papusas one evening, thanks to Roberto's help and willingness to row across the lake to get our order!! We loved having plenty of towels available, for pool and bathing, without having to bring them along in our suitcases!! The Host has responded to previous reviews and has a new refrigerator added to a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen! We did a lot of cooking and enjoyed the amenities available! Our family enjoyed a couple of peaceful days together here, and we hope to be back for another enjoyable stay~ Thanks for sharing this beautiful space!

This place is amazing and just as described. If you are looking for a peaceful place to call home while exploring the surrounding areas this is the spot to reserve.

We had an amazing experience at Joe's place in Xanadu. Although we came across a couple of glitches, Joe quickly responded to my messages and had assistance readily available. He's also a very caring host. One suggestion I would make is probably access to better internet or WiFi. During my stay, we had a couple of minor health issues going on and it took some effort to get a good signal to communicate with Joe, Uber drivers and other family members to ask for assistance. I found a few spots around the house with relatively good reception, however, in instances when it's hard to move around or want to stay away from the heat, a better signal would have taken that additional stress off. Other than that, Joe's place is wonderful and he is an amazing host. Highly recommend him and his place. Thank you for being such an amazing host.

The house is beautiful, especially the pool and outdoor areas. Super spacious with amazing views of the surroundings. If you have mobility issues, definitely look elsewhere though the steps come along with being at the top of the rock. Ricardo, the caretaker, made our stay even more enjoyable. He cooked us an amazing wood grilled dinner and sides, as well as a typical Salvadoran breakfast the next morning. He will do the food shopping and cooking for you, so much more relaxing and private than driving to a nearby restaurant. The outdoor dining area was perfect. Will certainly try to come back soon.

The place was perfect for disconnecting. Everything is clean, surrounded by nature and with a cool climate that is enjoyed to the fullest. Luis was very attentive throughout the stay. I would definitely come back!

This was such an amazing house to stay in! It was spacious, well-kept, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. I stayed here with my two kids, and we all had a wonderful time from enjoying the pool to exploring the beautiful country around us. Lupita was absolutely incredible. She was always available when we needed her and even cooked for us, her food was amazing! God bless her. If you stay here, definitely reach out to Lupita for any services you might need she was such a great help and made everything so easy. If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommended!

The house is a real charm, structured on different levels overlooking the sea, each space has its own special touch. Everything is designed to relax and enjoy. Shalpa beach is simply spectacular. It is small, quiet, surrounded by nature and birds, which makes you feel as if you are in a personal paradise. Ideal for those looking to disconnect and enjoy a natural environment. My family had an amazing time, we were all delighted with the place. Definitely a highly recommended accommodation. We'd go back without thinking!

Andres’s place was as amazing as advertised + more. The staff was awesome and helped us with everything we needed. Food was delicious. The house and its location are beautiful. Will absolutely be back! Thanks Ale and the rest of the staff, it is truly a special place.

Beautiful peaceful property on the lake! Love that they have lifejackets and access to a kayak and paddleboard. The outdoor kitchen/living area is so nice and relaxing you really only use the rooms when you go to sleep! Manuel and Vilma that take care of the property are always friendly and helpful. You do night a high vehicle/4x4 road to get there and entrance are pretty rough

The house and the property itself was incredible! The view through the day is breathtaking and will never get old. Jaime and Sandra are very kind and helpful with any questions you have. Love direct access to the beach and the pool is a great size for the family too! Cannot wait to stay here again, pictures do not do justice just how beautiful it is.

Beautiful views and a very comfortable outdoor area perfect way to spend the day on the lake. The property had great menus available for food and jet ski rentals. Plenty of beds for a large group to enjoy.

Great stay!! In walking distance to all the restaurants and local shops. The beds were so comfy and the hot water a plus. The breakfast is included and it was delicious. 10/10.

The house was spotless, and the ocean views were absolutely breathtaking. The beach was just steps away, and the house had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was well equipped! We loved the spacious deck and outdoor furniture, perfect for enjoying the sunset. We appreciated Monty's quick response and helpful recommendations. Sergio and his wife were very accommodating and made us feel right at home. We highly recommend this beach house for a relaxing vacation.

Wonderful peaceful place on the lake with fabulous hostess always helpful and terrific service in the house. Rosario and Milton were truly wonderful yet discreet. Highly recommended The water in the lake as in the pool is warm It is a true delight we hope to replicate some day soon

Great spot! House is amazing and patios are spacious. Pool was cleaned daily and great to cool off throughout the day. Mike and Paola were super friendly and helpful with local recommendations. Location was quiet but close to restaurants and pupusas. Direct access to the beach through a gate at the back of the property.

This casita was an amazing place to stay. We honestly never wanted to leave. The proximity to the ocean was unbeatable. The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the place was clean. We felt right at home and enjoyed our stay immensely. We'll be returning again at the next chance to visit El Salvador.

This is a great place, with a beautiful location up on the top of the cliff, just as described, with a great pool area, with the thatched roof. We had a great stay as a family, with our college-age daughters. Very relaxing! There are a number of good restaurants nearby, along the main road. The private rock pool at the bottom of the cliffs was really nice, and there are good steps all the way down. The gated community also includes a good size beach and a larger swimming pool. This park area is also nice, and the ocean is nice and warm, but the surf was too rough for swimming, and the sand is dark, so it gets really hot in the middle of the day. Best to enjoy the pool area at the house, with the beautiful view out over the Pacific, and beautiful sunsets over the cliffs. It was an easy drive to San Salvador to see the sights, and we also did a trip to see the Mayan ruins at San Andres, and the volcanoes at Cerro Verde national park (easy side trips with a rental car).

Lots of natural light, big windows. Gorgeous pool that was cleaned every day Close to El Tunco Supermarket, coffee, food across the street Beachfront Host always around & extremely helpful Yard maintained very well Gated & fenced. Always felt safe.
