The small house, which sleep 3 people, has been carefully restored and joined together and it is not only comfortable but stylishly and artistically furnished. The house sits on the side of Mount Neritos, completely surrounded by terraces of trees, and the stillness is only broken by goat bells that float on the air, cicadas that rattle, and the sea that murmurs just below. The position of the house offers dramatic views and breathtaking sunsets, and Kandiliotika is perfect for those looking for a hidden retreat for painting, writing, composing, yoga, snorkelling, swimming, reading, relaxation and renewal. Ithaca is a beautiful, rugged and untouched place which welcomes visitors with its simple pleasures. Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation The island is dramatically beautiful, rugged, relatively undeveloped, green and mountainous with steep blue indented bays and charming little harbours. It’s a small workaday place, never a land of plenty, and even its gradual tourism has not really stemmed the de-population. But it has magnetism, a natural grace, and an energy-giving power which draws in those who need renewal, uplift and inspiration in their lives. Don’t miss a climb at sunset above Exoghi (Out of Earth) to the monastery on the summit, to witness the 360 degree view across the shipping-routes and islands of this archipelago. Very pleased with are stay at Daphnae. A lovely friendly and helpful host. A very clean tidy and functional house made even better by the off street parking. Stunning views from the property and plenty of peace and quiet. Location was perfect for us but would recommend anyone unfamiliar with the area do your research. But like I said perfect in every way for us

Our stay at Unity Villa was absolutely fantastic. The whole property was amazing and beautifully done, centrally located and easy to get to. A wonderful taverna next door was our favorite spot for dinner at night as well as coffee in the morning. Highly recommend, and would definitely stay here again.

A tranquil seaside setting features a harbor lined with small fishing boats. Nearby, a road is visible with parked cars and buildings that include dining establishments. The surrounding hills provide a scenic backdrop, complementing the calm waters and evening light.

We really enjoyed staying here. The hosts were very kind and hospitable. The home and parking is gated and they have beautiful outdoor seating. The hosts also offered laundry service for an additional fee which was nice. They also provided us with fresh linens and towels when needed during our stay. Would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in close proximity to beaches, restaurants, and many activities.

I almost don’t want to leave a review, because I don’t want this gem to be discovered. This is a magical place tucked into the hills of Anogi, one of the most serene places in Ithaca. If you are looking for an authentic island home in a more remote place, this is for you. The outdoor space is particularly wonderful, with lots of places to relax and enjoy the tranquility. Daphne is a fantastic host, managing all of it very smoothly from a far. She responded promptly to all of my questions. We had one issue with a blocked drain which she resolved quickly and graciously. We were a family of 5 adults and one child and the house and cottage was a perfect combination for us. Efkaristo Daphne, Sophia and Gioula, we will definitely be back!

This place is worth it just for the views you get from the terrace - you won't get tired of it during the day or even at the night to watch the night sky (recommend watching the sun rise). The host was very responsive and waiting for us upon arrival. The description mentions there is no hot water but there is. We also recommend going to the restaurant at the top of the hill, Extraterrestrial. The food is great and has the views to match. The place does feel a little small and dated/basic but if you're ok with that then it's worth it. It feels very quiet, peaceful and away from the tourists up there.

The boat house for Susie and I was perfection. A stunning location a few steps from a beach with crystal clear waters, caves, kingfishers and cormorants all set below a fabulous wood. The gentle rhythm of the fishing boats and the friendly local community added to the experience. Demetrie the local contact and manager was superb responding to all queries and requests with calm and patience. We will be going back.

Grigorios is a very charming man, kind and helpful. The place has a stunning view on the sea with a gorgeous surrounding and what was really nice even if there is an overcast or a bit of rain you can still sit outside and enjoy the view. We even had a cleaner coming in the middle of our stay to change our bed sheets and clean the house. With our scouter that we rented in Vathy, we were able to travel the whole island. Kioni and Frikes are both about 5min ride away - in the morning we did our shopping in Stavros at the bakery and in the little village shop. Along the way to Kioni and Frikes are gorgeous beaches that are in walking distance with clear blue water. Overall it was a fantastic stay at Grigorios‘s apartment. We can only recommend it.
