Vacation rentals with a kayak in Andros Island

The cottage is located just behind the US Embassy on a private street with around the clock security, so I felt very safe. The cottage itself was very comfortable and relaxing. It's only about a 8 minute walk to the beach and all the restaurants on the beach. The Fish Fry area is a little over a mile away, but you can take the bus for 1.50. The two restaurants we tried there, Goldie's and Oh' Andros weren't very good. I was very disappointed with my overall experience with the restaurants in the area. My savior was the McDonald's just down the street from the cottage. This was my first time in the Bahamas and more than likely my last. The beach was beautiful, but I'm from South Florida...

We had an unforgettable stay! From the moment we booked, Derek and Portia went above and beyond. Derek was super responsive during planning, and Portia helped us find a rental company that would work with me being 21. She also checked in during our flight, greeted us at the house, and even offered to take us to get food. That night, she drove me to a liquor store, showed me the best local spots, and refused petrol money! When a storm hit and we couldn’t order food, she sorted it all for us. She later even dropped off a new snorkel set after we mentioned one was missing. The home was stunning—spacious, spotless, and stocked with everything: Netflix, board games, fluffy blankets, ice, snacks, even pool gear. The lagoon was gorgeous; we saw turtles every day. We loved the porch with fairy lights and the pool table was still fun even if slightly uneven. Just bring mosquito spray! This was one of our best stays ever. We’d return in a heartbeat. I had an amazing experience staying at this Airbnb! From the very beginning, the host was incredibly accommodating, making sure that everything was set up perfectly for my stay. Communication was outstanding—every time I had a question or needed something, they responded quickly and with such a friendly attitude, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. The space itself was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described in the listing, if not better. It had all the amenities I needed, and the little thoughtful touches throughout really made a difference. The location was also great, making it easy to explore the area. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The host’s kindness, attentiveness, and hospitality truly stood out, and I would absolutely stay here again in the future. Highly recommended!

If you’re considering staying in Andros, do it! Especially with Trevor. He was a very gracious host. You can not beat the views or proximity to the amazing beaches and flats. The space is clean and the AC works great. I recommend you rent a car or have the taxi stop on your way to get drinking water, food, alcohol, and bug spray. Brigadiers restaurant/bar is just down the road but eating there multiple times a day (especially if you have alcohol) adds up quickly. There are bikes and kayaks available for your use, just ask Trevor. During our time in Andros we saw bone fish, sea turtles, star fish, puffer fish, dolphins, and sting ray. We recommend a fishing trip for bone fish with Shawn Riley while you’re here also (bring wading shoes or aqua socks). The people of andros are so friendly and island is beautiful!

I stayed at Marks home on Andros and absolutely loved it. Patti and Mark were some of the best hosts I have ever stayed with, responsive, helpful and great to be around. Would recommend this home to anyone going to Andros for their first time, or season island veterans. I will be returning!

Pineapple Villas, were absolutely beautiful and right on the water. The owners were fantastic and we even went fishing one of the days just steps away from our front door. Kitchen was perfectly set up and not a thing missing. The whole villa was amazing quality from the couches to the towels! Its definitely a must stay! Thank you guys again and see you soon!

I can’t describe how wonderful this house was because you have to visit to believe it His place was serene, beautiful and so relaxing!! Just what we needed for a week away from the hustle of work!! Just off the beaten path but so worth it and we had our own private beach with snorkel gear, kayaks and floatees!! Will recommend to anyone!! 5 star!!!

Words are difficult to find. Absolutely stunning location and we had the best holiday experience. Communication from Francine throughout was superb and everything was organised for us in respect to arranging the flight from Nassau to San Andros and a welcome meal beautifully prepared and delivered by the property manager, Zona and his wife Bernadette. We cannot thank Zona enough for all his help and kindness throughout the whole vacation. Highlight was when he took us out on his boat for a 4 hour sight seeing trip which included bone fishing, snorkelling and some showing us some Andros ‘secrets’. His knowledge of the sea and the beautiful island was outstanding. I must also mention that the inhabitants of Nicholls Town are the friendliest people I have ever met. Everyone was so pleased to help in any way they can.We cycled most days and this was perfectly safe as the roads are all smooth and all the drivers are very courteous of cyclists.Highly recommended for a totally relaxed holiday

Our time at Tamesha’s was wonderful! She was friendly, knowledgeable about local attractions, and was helpful with trip planning! She knew a fishing guide who could take us out the next day! The area was gorgeous, with so many outdoor recreational opportunities! We will be back!

Nancy, our hostess, went so far above and beyond what we expected in an owner that she completely transformed our vacation from what we thought we'd experience into something that was much more amazing than we could have dreamed! Her hospitality, deep knowledge of the area and custom suggestions were much more than what we've had at other Air BnB locations. Her place is also cozy and conveniently located near local attractions. It was such a memorable stay and we expect to return soon!

Had an excellent stay at Santisha's place. Nice littel wlecome gift when we arrived. The house is across the street from the ocean, literally 10 steps. This is not a beach access spot, more of breakwater area, but you can get in the water here depending on tides. Bikes and kayaks were provided and in good shape. You'll need a car if you want to venture away from the house and get around the island. Do your research on places to eat, choices are limited. Kevin, who helps Sanitsha, lives next door and was available for all our needs. The batteries for the AC remote died, the units are out of reach, so remotes are need to control. Kevin was quick to drive to the store and get us a couple more batteries. Great experience all around!
