Hummingbird Villa is a perfect oasis on the outskirts of La Fortuna. I had the impression that we might be sharing the pool with other properties, but the entire facility is private. It's a stunning location with beautiful landscaping and plenty of outdoor space. Even when it was raining there was plenty of room at the large table under the generous patio roof to stay dry for our whole family. In the mornings we enjoyed birdwatching along the the quiet road. We would absolutely stay here again. Many thanks to Jason for being a kind and considerate host.

The wonderful view from the cottages I've visited was by far the best view of all, the sunset was breathtaking. Very nice and clean cabin. One suggestion would be to serve breakfast in the cottage, since it is served individually at the table, and an improvement in the heater, but nothing that discredits the place.

We loved our stay at Magdalena’s house. It was like a private tropical paradise and Magdalena is the perfect host. Max planned our excursions for us and was SO helpful. The house was lovely but the backyard was amazing. The house features a wrap around porch with a comfy couch and chairs and large outdoor dining table. There is a separate large outdoor kitchen area with grills, additional seating and a hot tub. The infinity pool is steps away. The view from all vantage points is breathtaking and the grounds are landscaped beautifully. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean with rain showers and plenty of hot water. The AC worked perfectly and kept us cool. Esmeralda came daily and even did our dishes and laundry. The house is a 40 minute drive to the Arenal area. The main roads into La Fortuna were well maintained. The drive was long but easy. Shopping was a bit of a challenge but there are local “supermarkets” and a Maxi Pali in La Fortuna. Enjoy!

We really enjoyed our stay at Giorgia's place. Perfectly located with stunning views. No noise from outside and the pool was a nice addition. The doorman, Sergio was extremely helpful to our needs as well and Giorgia was responsive to our questions. Would recommend to anyone.

What an unforgettable adventure! The drive to the Airbnb was thrilling—winding roads, steep climbs, and a tropical downpour that only added to the excitement. Even with the rain coming down, the lush scenery was absolutely breathtaking. We made a quick stop at a local supermarket to grab some essentials, and from there, it was straight into paradise. When we arrived, we were greeted by the wonderful Juan Carlo, who was already waiting for us with a warm welcome and a big smile. He showed us around the house, and wow—it was stunning. Every corner of the place was beautiful, cozy, and full of character. We had an amazing stay and can’t wait to come back. Just a tip: be ready for some serious driving—this place is for the bold and adventurous! But trust us, it’s 100% worth it. The host was fantastic—super responsive, helpful, and kind. PURA VIDA! This was a dream come true.

Casa 1, where we stayed, has two good bedrooms, a TV room and a living room with a fireplace and an integrated kitchen, all with great natural lighting and as shown in the photos. Highlights include the bathroom with a glass box overlooking the forest, the kiosk with a barbecue, the great balcony and the wonderful garden. The house is very well equipped with good quality bed & bath linen and utensils for those who cook and need to wash clothes. The icing on the cake was the crystal-clear river, with small waterfalls and pools among the most beautiful we have ever seen, accessed by short trails on the property - you don't even want to go any further. Beautiful region, roads and good shopping minutes away. We thank Guilherme for the reception and care with all the details for a great stay.

Amazing piece of paradise if you are looking for an off the beaten path experience where the ocean isnt far & the river is just a boardwalk length's away. We hesitated about booking bc it seems too good to be true but once Luis met us on the dock & we headed deeper into the river amongst mangroves, when we unloaded and were welcomed with a fresh coconut by the keepers of the property, we instantly knew we didnt want to leave. The hammocks beckoned the two 14 y/o boys to settle in while the other 10 y/o was ready to pick her bed upstairs. Bc we were on a different eco resort before this, we werent able to bring ex snacks & drinks but Lia was able to have cold beer on the ready as the closest large grocery store is a boat ride away. We asked for them to cook. Simple delicious local flavors for food and juices. It was perfect. Can't stress how authentic and fun the tours are- we loved the waterfall hike & wished we had time for the mangrove tours. Def line fish & we loved the experience.

We love to stay in the house! A very quiet and private place, the sunrise from the bedroom is indescribable! I recommend it for couples and groups of people, the house is rustic but full of special touches and cozy.

Excellent studio, very complete. It is close to the beach, you can walk. It's better to go to the center by car. The shower is excellent, with very hot water and plenty of pressure. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is very complete, it has several utensils and appliances. The only point of improvement is the lack of air conditioning in the living room, it is only in the bedroom. As Ceará is very hot, I missed having cold air in the living room.

Buda do Lagoa is a dream. Located on the magical hill in front of Rosa beach, with a beautiful view of the sea. The house is beautifully designed, keeping the elements of nature, and being there conveys a deep sense of peace. You sleep on the balcony with the sound of the waves. A few minutes from the beach and downtown. Ezequiel and Ana were super careful and cooperative, and Ivonne was a very nice person, she helped a lot with the cleaning and brought a great energy. Recommendation 10/10, wonderful experience.

One of the coolest experiences I've had on airbnb. When we arrived we found the extremely clean house. The very smelling bed and bath games. The house all has a "Grandma's house" aspect which makes it very cozy. The beach is beautiful, with the calm sea and hot water. And the coolest thing is that it's right in front of you. Francisco was yesterday line all the time to assist us. O Caseiro Rafael also very helpful. And I had the pleasure of meeting the wife of Francisco who received us even with pampering. It is well worth hosting!

Fátima's house has already become a little bit ours too, we have repeated and will repeat as many times as we can fit the schedule. It is by far our favorite Airbnb, with excellent memories, whenever we remember Baú da Mantiqueira we smile and think about when we can return! Our family of four stayed at the Tree House at the begining of June 2025. Punta Islita is a friendly and laid back place, perfect for a family to visit. Directions and check-in was well described and easy to follow. Accomodations were clean, kitchen had everything we needed (coffee, sugar, etc) and absolutley perfect for our family including a plunge pool and access to the larger pool for kids swimming fun. Fantastic restaurants and a small grovery store were a very short walk away. We checked out the nearby hotel for a golf cart rental and activities like surf lessons and fishing, they had a large listof other exciting activities to do. We also chcked out the very safe beach (10min walk down the road) and the Macaw sanctuary. Really a magical place to visit, definitely worth the drive from Samara. I only wish we had more time to enjoy the house and explore more of the area.

Such a peaceful house with simple but beautiful furnishings that complimented the perfect view. My husband and I spent all of our time here that we weren't diving because we'd rather be here than anywhere else. Clear directions and instructions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Unbelievable place to stay. The space, the views, the pool, all amazing. You will be confronted with critters and will definitely need 4 wheel drive but outside of that there is no other considerations. This is the nicest place I've ever been

Perfect place, perfect view, tremendous atmosphere

The house is wonderful and already conveys a sense of peace from the entrance! You can see beauty in every corner and in every space there. The house utensils saved us because we forgot to bring some things, but there was a super kit with everything we could need right there. Super comfortable and warm bed linens. Easy to access location even for me who had never even climbed the mountain! Beto was helpful from before our arrival, clearing up all our questions. Note a thousand! We left already wanting to come back. If you want to relax, this is THE place!!

Villa Yazmin is a truly special and amazing home! We had a fantastic experience and we cannot say thank you enough to our wonderful host, Mary. Mary was so responsive and a joy to talk with. She arranged to pick us up at the airport and then also drove us to our next destination on the island after our stay at the villa. We used her Ford vehicle to drive around and visit all of the local beaches and restaurants, and it was so easy and much appreciated (although it was hard to tear ourselves away from the villa, the pool, and the beautiful views!) Mary is such a welcoming and generous person and we loved getting to know her. The villa is exceptional, easily our best Airbnb experience. Mary has thoughtfully decorated and provided great amenities. Thank you again Mary for sharing your gorgeous home with us! We would love to return!

What a wonderful place, it is an immersion in nature, with beautiful natural pools, breathtaking views, in fact the freshwater houses are stunning! I stayed with my husband and my dog Billy at the Lotus house and I have nothing to complain about, Cristina and her children were super attentive from the beginning, they gave clear and objective instructions, all the staff are very attentive and polite, they welcomed us very well. I only have compliments, I recommend it and I will certainly return more often.
