We love hosting. The place is very nice, clean, organized and close to supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacy. It is 5 minutes from the arches and bars of Lapa, about 10 minutes from the Selarón staircase and the Cecília Meireles room. Walking 20 minutes there is the Flamengo landfill, a combination of beach, outdoor park and Marina da Glória. In addition, there is a bus stop for several places, Copacabana, Botanical Garden and there is the Cinelândia and carioca metro station very close as well. Igor and Dona Laida are excellent people, attentive, available and flexible. And as for Igor, we definitely got a friend, we couldn't have stayed in a better place. Thank you for everything. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our week stay there. I loved waking up early so that I could go drink coffee in the hammock before the rest of my family woke up- the view is incredible with lots of wildlife to see. It really was the perfect location- walking distance to some great restaurants and to anything else you need (atm, pharmacy etc.). Tour groups all know Emilio’s Cafe next door, so was easy to arrange a pickup there. We appreciated having our own coffee pot and bought a bag of ground coffee next door- the earliest coffee shop in the area doesn’t open til 6am. Our activities were all booked for the mornings since it rains every day late afternoon, but we loved our rainy evenings on the balcony to play cards and relax. My hubby was able to use our Netflix account on the tv so watched a movie most nights before bed. Laurent and Lorenzo were easy to communicate with. A housekeeper comes every other day, which is enough. My teenagers (18 and 15) said best vacation ever.
