Cozy little house, 10m from the lake, 10 min outside Nora. Patio, sauna, private swimming area, jetty and row boat. Sunsets are best enjoyed in the hammock of the jetty (summer time). The main building is newly built in 2021 with new and fresh kitchen and bathroom. Wood-burning fireplace. Open, bright floor plan. Large windows and glass doors to the lake. Newly built sauna (ready to use), but the outside and gazebo are still under construction. Quiet area with proximity to forest with nice paths, including Bergslagsleden. Golf course about 3km away.

FredrikLars-gården adjacent to Nordmarksbergs Herrgård: 19th century or older. In this farm, the great inventor John Ericsson's grandfather Nils (b. 1747 – 1790) has lived. On a rock in the grounds of the farm, there should be a curtain with the name of Nils. Picture of this stone can be found in Värmlandsarkiv's photo archive on a picture from 1955 (photo Lennart Thelander, pictures SEVA_11229_36 and SEVA_11230-1), but has not been found in the present day. It's probably hidden by mortar that's been covered over the rocks.

Margareta is a very nice and helpful host. The cabin is really nice and cozy. A big plus is that there is a rowboat you can borrow to get out on the lake and fish. Appreciated very much that there was an opportunity to rent the sauna, it is very nice and located down by the lake with nice views. Will be happy to come back!

We've very much enjoyed our stay with Lena & Harald. The cabin was clean, cozy and well equipped for our stay. We were suprised with fresh flowers and eggs from from Lena's hens, which made us feel right at home. Nice and calm surroundings. The spaceous terrace with view over the lake was a highlight. Lena and Harald were very welcoming and hospitable and always responded quickly to our messages. We'd love to come back!

Johann's place is unique! In the midst of nature, you are on your own, have hiking routes right by the house and direct lake access. Despite the seclusion, the accommodation offers all the luxury you could want: sauna, hot tub, an electric boat, kayaks, etc. There were 10 of us including 2 small children and we had a super relaxed time together. Therefore, I can fully recommend the accommodation if you are looking for peace, nature and relaxation.

I loved my stay in this little, red house! It is very cosy, clean and surrounded by the most beautiful nature. You get relaxed just by looking outside the window. Since I didn't have a car, Peter drove me to the nearby bus stop - which was so nice & considerate :) And when I had a little medical emergency, he also took me to the pharmacy in Nora. Thank you so much! Although I came by myself, I didn't feel lonely or lost - thanks to Peter & his wife :) There is so much to see & explore - many beautiful lakes & the cute town of Nora. I would come back any day to this dream house <3

Cozy, quiet and beautiful cottage, with great kitchen in a very nice area. There are lots of outdoor activities to do (great bike and hiking area!) Best bring a car or bike to get around, most trails its a short bike or car ride away and closest groceries are 2.5 km from the place. Very quiet, there was no sound from neighbours or the church at all, and only occasional traffic on the road nearby. Highly recommended!
