Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Alpena County

Booked this on a whim without really checking the description - and oh my goodness, we were very pleasantly surprised! This home is more beautiful in person, the pics don't do justice. It was like staying at a place straight from a HGTV magazine. It also came fully stocked with drinks, snacks, and yummy cinnamon cake! You can tell there was a lot of love and thought put into this home to make it an unforgettable experience. We hope to stay again!

This was our second stay with Sure! She has a wonderful home, we loved it!!

Clean and comfortable cottage overlooking Lake Huron with easy walking access to the sandy beach. Particularly enjoyed sitting on the back deck with a cup of tea to take in the lake view.

Host went out of his way to make sure we had items for the kids; crib and toys.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautifully maintained and restored older home!!

All I can say is AMAZING!!! The house was spotless!! There was everything you could think of already there, from extra bedding, toiletries, fans, kitchen supplies!! The setting was beautiful! Very quiet and very comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and responsive to answer any questions! Would definitely recommend for a family stay!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and smelled great. Quiet neighborhood with the house located on a dead end street next to a fishing dock and across from a sandy public beach. Having access to the golf cart was a great added touch. The water was low so we couldn’t fish, but it was still a beautiful place to stay on the water. Only issue we had was the back porch doors not having curtains/blinds leaving little privacy after dark and very bright sun coming in in the afternoons. I highly recommend this place to people looking to relax.

This was a great fit for our visit to Alpena. The house was just the right size- not too big, not too small, clean, comfortable, cheery, and walking distance to the historic downtown and the lake park. Just lovely. FYI, bring your own soap and shampoo (none was present), and your passwords for any streaming channels you enjoy watching. We tried to contact the owner to see if any channel subscriptions were live (the ones we tried weren't accessible), but didn't receive a return email or call. (We got lucky and remembered one of our passwords and were able to enjoy a relaxing night with a show) Highly recommend!

Perfect for what we needed it for! As described, a shack that is secluded in the middle of the woods. We got to bring our dog. The property is great for outdoor activities and having up north fun!

I had a wonderful stay at Pete’s place. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. There were thoughtful details all around the house like fresh cut flowers and a note with contact info. There were even dog bowls and items that made it feel more like home. This was a great spot to stay and I highly recommend it

Our Host Roger had great suggestions and information to make the visit a success. The cottage was comfortable and immaculate just like the photos posted. Location was beautiful. What stood out was how welcoming our host was to us and pet. Every convenience was provided for cooking. Thanks to an outstanding host and beautiful cottage setting for a fun and relaxing stay.

Our stay was perfect! We are so glad we found Matthew's place. He welcomed our furry friends giving us a safe place for them to stay and play. A fenced grassy yard, puppy blankets, and toys. I texted Matthew with a question and he called me within minutes. We will be staying here again and again!

Beautiful secluded cabin. Haven’t heard whippoorwills sing in the evening like they do here. No traffic sounds, no neighbors, just peaceful quiet cabin. Very clean and well cared for.

We had a wonderful time at this Airbnb! The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was friendly, responsive, and made sure I felt welcome. super clean place to stay. pet friendly but you wouldn’t be able to tell that other animals had been in the place. let me check in 3 hours earlier. would recommend staying here.

Super cute place. Not far from downtown, but enough to not feel crowded. Communication was excellent. House was clean and had lots of little extras, they really paid attention to details. Nice setup for a family stay with infant items available if needed. Lots of water toys, it was too cold for us to use, but loved that they were available. Other outside and even inside games. Again, lots attention to detail. Definitely recommend this place!

Cute little cottage on the river. Great location and close to Hubbard Lake. Amanda is a perfect host, great communication and very responsive.
