The Life Aquatic - Lakefront / Kayaks Included!

This is a gorgeous lakefront vacation rental home that is right on Lake Huron in Alpena, Michigan! It has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and sleeps 10. It has a large and gated yard for kids and dogs to play! The rental of the house also includes the use of 2 kayaks and the use of the boathouse on the property, so you can walk out the front door and immediately be in your boat and on the lake! Please note that a liability waiver must be signed before using the boathouse and/or the kayaks.

Relax with the whole family in this cozy log cabin located on the north end of Thunder Bay, just a three mile drive from downtown Alpena. Enjoy your own private beach with a grill, fire pit, and two kayaks you can launch right from our beach. Go fishing from the dock, soak in the hot tub, or just enjoy sitting on the porch watching the boats and ships sailing the lake. The cabin looks out at the Thunder Bay National Marine Sanctuary and sits on the Sunrise Coast Birding Trail.

A historic home in downtown Alpena MI along the shores of Lake Huron, most likely built in the early 1900's. House "La Mer Douce" is charming and comfortable. If these walls could talk...they would share stories about Alpena and the early commercial fishing port that soon after soon grew to be one of the nation’s most profitable lumber harvesting locations. Holidays at the Lake, family dinners and taking in the fresh air. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do!

Location, View, Hot Tub, Shop, Restaurants, Beach

My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

2nd Retreat

This bright and quaint historical little house is one block from the downtown district. This 2nd retreat has a charming enclosed front porch for sitting, a quiet serene space to enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine, to read a book or just to sit and relax. We are in walking distance to a great Ice cream shop , the local winery, a quaint coffee shop, Mango's for margarita's and end the evening with the local movie theater. Enjoy the small town dynamic.

Cabin on The Shores

Relax at this peaceful log Cabin on The Shores of Lake Huron. With plenty of space for the whole family, this property is within minutes from downtown Alpena. Enjoy the wrap around deck, perfect for that morning cup of coffee or recouping after a long day of swimming, kayaking, fishing or just a long day at work. Finish your evening star gazing down on the beach while keeping warm by the bonfire. You are sure to feel right at home at our Cabin on The Shores.

Lakefront oasis....Beaver Lake is an all sports 665 acre gem, located in northern Michigan. Enjoy fishing, boating, kayaking or just relaxing on this 77' deep crystal clear inland lake. We have a blue aqua-cycle that guests may use, but we ask that all guests wear life jackets if you do choose to use the aqua-cycle. (life jackets are hanging up in the bedroom closet.)
