Cottage vacation rentals in Almuñécar

At Casa Lopez, we stayed for 1.5 months as 5 adults, a child, and a dog. Occasionally, we were up to 10 people, but space was never an issue. The villa is beautiful with stunning views of the mountains and surroundings. The mountain road to the villa adds charm, and the place feels comfortable and safe—even accessible with a Fiat 500. The villa is more spacious than the photos suggest. Rafael, the host, showed us all the amenities: pool, Jacuzzi, and game room—all in perfect order. We also worked from the villa using the internet without any issues. The area is picturesque, close to beaches, mountains, and towns, with plenty to do. The hosts are very kind and helpful, even recommending a mechanic when needed. After 1.5 months, we still felt their warmth and friendliness. Leaving Casa Lopez was emotional for us. So, I recommend the villa for vacations, as well as a place where after work you can open some wine and jump into the pool. I wish everyone an equally wonderful stay.

Carmen is very very friendly and helpful. She responds to messages very quickly. We received a warm welcome with a nice fruit basket and explanation of how everything works. Lovely house to recover and celebrate holidays and therefore definitely recommended. The only downside is poor road surface on the way there and navigation actually indicates a different location. I think the road is better accessible with a terrain wagon or car with 4 wheel drive.

We had a really great time in Madre Tierra. Rafa welcomed us and was really helpful for any request we had. The house is comfy, calm and with a great view, close to nice mountain paths. Totally recommended. Thanks again Rafa!

Casa Anna Maria was the perfect place for us providing peace, tranquility and the most beautiful scenery. The home has everything you could possibly need during your stay. The pictures don’t do it justice, it exceeded all our expectations.

We had a wonderful weekend in Monte Naturivo! The accommodation is surrounded by beautiful nature and is the perfect place to unwind. Everything was absolutely clean and very well maintained – you can tell how much love is put into every detail here. We were particularly enthusiastic about the great pool, the relaxing hammam and the beautiful yoga room – ideal for switching off and feeling good. The hostess was incredibly friendly and warm, we felt welcome from the first moment. Monte Naturivo is really a special place that we highly recommend to everyone.

A lovely villa in beautiful surroundings. we were very comfortable and had everything we needed, plus the tomatoes from Juan Antonio's garden were absolutely delicious. Beautiful location of the house, about a 10-minute drive on a mountain road from Frigiliana. Beautiful views. The house is simple but very pleasant.

The stay at Angel's "Las Lavaderas" was excellent. Due to the quiet and private atmosphere, we recovered well. A perfect place to relax. The house is equipped with everything you need. Communication with Angel worked perfectly, friendly and always promptly.

Casa Alicia is the perfect place to stay for those who like peace and beautiful nature, which is unique especially in the spring. We had a nice weather in April, and there was a sunny weather with both dazd and cold, but that's not the host's fault. I recommend this place for those who are looking for peace and quiet. Zoltan

I was a guest at Rosa Maria's with my 17-year-old dog. It was a great time for us. The house is quite remote and difficult to reach without a car, but we enjoyed the tranquility and idyll very much. In the morning at breakfast, the beautiful view of the sea, and in the evening with a glass of red wine unbeatable sunsets. It was just right for us🤗!

Really lovely spot with amazing, large pool, that you can actually swim in, even with a group of eight, outdoor seating to relax and enjoy views. Our group appreciated all the separate bathrooms and cooking indoors and out and eating on the balcony. Host was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! Malaga, Marbella, and Granada are all about an hour to an hour and a half away. El Torcal ( remarkable rock formations on a hike) is only 1 hour. Walkable little market for beer/wine. We came by car, so not sure about public transportation. Do be aware that there is no dishwasher, but the lovely unique dishes are great. Occasionally you hear neighboring dogs , but the road is quiet. I especially recommend going to Museo Etnológico de Riogordo a little local museum about Andalusian culture/ historical life it is a gem off the tourist beaten path. Enjoy! Quietly located in the hills around Alcoucin, William and Simone's cottage hides under the smell of the bougainvillea and the shade of the surrounding olive trees. A true oasis an hour's drive from the beautiful city of Malaga and the charming Torre del Mar. The cottage really offers everything you need. Fast WiFi connection, a beautiful bedroom with great bed, a spacious bathroom, a well-equipped kitchenette and not to mention, the beautifully located swimming pool. We spent four nice days there and will definitely be back. Hans and Frankie

A wonderful villa in a wonderful location. So tranquil and relaxing. No road noise, not overlooked and beautiful views. Everything jn the house is of high quality, particularly the kitchen. So much space, we loved it. We were there in April and the weather was a bit hit and miss. The pool was a bit chilly, but we still went in every day.

We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The house is super cozy and the terrace is fantastic. We had a heat wave, but the terrace offers enough shade that you can stay there very well. The house is air-conditioned anyway. The village is so beautiful. There are a few bars and restaurants where you can eat very well. People are very friendly. You can tell that mass tourism has not yet arrived. This gives you an impression of the life of the locals. A beach can also be reached in 20 minutes by car. If you have any questions, Maria can always be reached. How we felt with her there is hard to describe in words. She is a wonderful and lovable person. Thanks for the wonderful time.

Marcos was and is a fantastic host and the property is situated beautifully if you prefer a quiet and secluded/private holiday. A car is a must if you want to venture out everyday but that’s what we like as a family holiday. The house has everything you need, the views are stunning and the privacy being at the top of the hill means you are not overlooked by neighbours at all. We will definitely come back here and look forward to the next stay.

If you're looking to get away from the crowds, this is the place. Incredible view.....exactly like the picture. Easy day trips to Ronda, Frigilliana, Nerja & Granada. Maria was very responsive and gave us loads of recommendations upon arrival. Would definitely stay here again.

My family and I stayed at Antonio’s place the last week of August. It was perfect for our family of 4. 2 adults 2 children (7 & 10). The accommodation was extremely clean and very private, the villa is hidden amongst the vegetation. The pool was such a delight it was so warm the kids spent most of their time here. We did have a small rental car which made getting about easier, most amenities are within a 5/10minute drive. There is a small cafe a short walk downhill away. We would highly recommend this place.

Just arrived back from a wonderful week at Steph and Terry's home. The weather was amazing so we took full advantage of the beautiful pool in the most fabulous location. The property is set amongst the mountains and whilst remote it's not too far from the main road for visiting the surrounding area. For myself and my partner it ticked all the boxes as we love nature, watching the wildlife and the quiet of the mountains where we could relax away from our busy lives. Steph and Terry were always there to answer any questions and give recommendations. The Al In Carhire company recommended by them was extremely easy and value for money. Thank you to Steph and Terry for making our holiday special.

We extremely enjoyed staying at Elina's place. The view was great and the private pool lovely. The place was very clean and everything you need was provided. The mattress of the bed can be a little more modern. The owners of the airBNB were very friendly and helpful, nice people to stay with!
