I arrived after fighting roundabouts and jungles of highways to a villa in the mountains of Velez Rubio , surrounded by almond plantations , and traditional Spanish homesteads , absolutely stunning. Mary and James both welcomed me with a crisp glass of white and of course Almonds . My room was overlooking the pool garden and hillsides, extremely comfortable. Booked in for dinner cooked by renowned chef James , and impeccable service from Mary . This retreat is a must on the way through to Granada , make sure restaurant is open. I hope to be back some day and will stay for a week...

It is a very cosy hostel in a nice little village. Warm hospitality, super kind and friendly host. Rooms were very practical and the food in the bar was delicious! I definitely recommend.

we have stayed here several times and had different rooms. the better ones, in our opinion, are the seaview rooms. the rooms are basic and clean. the beds are comfy and great pillows.

The place was like a dream. The room was quite bright and spacious, the bed pillows were ergonomic, the jacuzzi worked wonderfully and the shower too, the sink faucet made a lot of noise during use but nothing that bothered us. Breakfast is very Mediterranean with toast, coffee and juices, and the hotel staff are always very kind. The place was full of plants and flowers. The pool was more than expected. We are already planning to return.

An excellent stay in this house in the most beautiful asset is the location. located a stone's throw from the two beaches because at the tip of the village, the sea is visible from all the rooms. The sound of the waves at night that cradles us, you really feel like you're on vacation! The equipment is simple, nothing unnecessary. Bedding is good. The village is very small, the restaurants, the grocery store, the bar... everything is on foot and is a short walk from the house. I recommend it!
