Situated in beautiful countryside of cork trees, olive groves and vineyards, on the foothills of the Serra D’ Ossa 20 km south of Estremoz. Ideal for sight seeing in a scenic and historic part of Portugal and within easy reach by motorway of Lisbon (2 hours) and Spain (1 hour). There are a myriad of activities to enjoy on the farm. For the walkers or mountain bikers there are kilometers of footpaths around the 540 hectare farm for you to explore and for those wishing to venture further afield, the nearby peaks offer unrivalled views of the surrounding countryside. Serra d’Ossa lies at 500 metres above sea level and boasting one of the driest climates in Europe. The absence of light pollution makes this an astronomers’ paradise. Twitchers can enjoy seeking out over 70 species of birds in the unique habitat provided by the cork forest, several of our past guests are members of the RSPB and have made lists of the birds they have seen / heard. Here is a list of a few: White Stork, Booted Eagle, Red Kite, Kestrel, Cuckoo, Tawny Owl, Hoopoe, Red-Rumped Swallow, Great Bustard, Little Bustard and Bee Eater. Visitors to the local damn include black winged stilts and the occasional avocet. Very occasionally, bustards can be seen in the lower plains. Within a one-hour drive from the farm, you can also explore nearby towns including Evora (a UNESCO World Heritage site), Estremoz famed for its Saturday morning market, Vila Viçosa with its two royal palaces, Reguengos and even neighbouring Spain. Historical tours of Evora can also be arranged through a private guide. Vineyards : While predominantly a hilly cork forest , a vineyard has recently been planted in an open valley producing Alicante Bouschet, Aragonêz, Touriga Nactional and Syrah quality grapes. Most of the grapes are sold; however a selection of the best quality grapes are retained for the production of a high quality red wine sold in Portugal under the Cem Reis label, and in the Netherlands under the Het Tientje name. This wine has been awarded silver medals in Wine Masters Challenge (Portugal), Mundus Vini (Germany), and Challenge Du Vin (France). Next year a white wine will also be produced from viognier grapes. Our wine and some products are available for purchase onsite.

Tapada da Raia has 35 acres of land, in the Natural Park of Serra de São Mamede (being the last Portuguese house, because it is bordered to Spain). For years it served as an anti-stress refuge for the family, who today decided to open the doors for those who want to spend relaxing days in the nature. The rustic-style house features the necessary amenities for an invigorating holiday, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where even time seems to take longer to pass. Hope you like it!

Private Country House (Exclusive Pool) - Marvão

Casa dos Galegos combines traditional architecture with a modern layout. It is located in the village of Galegos, right in the heart of the São Mamede Natural Park, in the Alto Alentejo region, just 11 km from the villages of Marvão and Castelo de Vide. It features a wood pellet stove for winter and a private outdoor pool for summer. It is the ideal place to take a break and relax, with the perfect balance of being close to everything yet far enough away at the same time.

We are Javier and Juanjo and we have a single-family home on a 1000 m plot in Sierra de Fuentes, with lawn areas and a private pool. The house is divided into two completely independent floors separated by an exterior staircase that gives access to your accommodation and the pool. Access to the plot and outdoor areas are shared, and we will be happy to have you so close, but at the same time, with all the privacy of being on different and independent floors

Cozy country house, set in a serene and natural Alentejo hill with about 4 hectares. In the heart of the Serra de S. Mamede Natural Park, it is surrounded by a wide variety of native flora, such as cork oaks, olive trees, oaks or fruit trees. Crossed by the Sever River and a stream that invites you to take refreshing baths through its numerous waterfalls. It also has two real natural pools, old reused irrigation tanks.

Our little stone cottage lies on a stream and has views of the beautiful hills and meadows full of olive and cork trees. In the garden you will find some fruit trees, herbs and flowers. Not far there is a nice waterfall to enjoy hot summer days. This is a peaceful place to relax. Here you can get immersed in nature's beauty, enjoy the sky full of stars and listen to the sheep's bells chiming.
