Spectacular setting wish we had more time to enjoy the place. Clean and comfortable. Full kitchen. Needs a car to get to. Looks like the photos. Bring all your own food then you don’t have to leave.

Tive uma estadia muito agradável no Airbnb do Fernando, durante apenas uma noite, mas que deixou uma ótima impressão. A sua quinta era encantadora, estilo rústico, com um amplo jardim e muita tranquilidade. A casa era espaçosa e limpa, tal como os quartos, com casas de banho privativas. Excelente pequeno-almoço preparado pelos anfitriões, que foram extremamente atenciosos e simpáticos incluindo a Missy. 🐶 Foi uma experiência breve, mas que mostrou o cuidado e a hospitalidade deste lugar. Recomendo a quem procura um refúgio acolhedor.

La maison est idéale pour les amoureux de la nature ! Elle est bien fraîche à l'intérieur et il y a tout l'équipement nécessaire pour passer un séjour agréable. La rivière en contrebas est parfaite pour aller se rafraîchir et d'autres spots sont accessibles à pied ou en voiture par la route qui passe devant la maison (peu de passage, principalement les fermiers et locaux qui sont très chaleureux). On serait bien restés plus longtemps !

Carla was very responsive to any issues we had. Very helpful and friendly despite the language differences. Casa Sophia is a perfect as a base for exploring the northern region of Portugal.

Francisca and Henrique at the Mill House Quinta do Reciao were excellent hosts. They were extremely helpful with recommendations for sightseeing and winery tours; they gave us clear driving directions which were very helpful as well. They were always quick to respond to all our communications. Such good tips, ideas and feedback enhanced our relaxation during our 5 day stay. The experience they provided us at the Mill House was really incredible- home cooked four course meals personally delivered to our door every night was wonderful! Henrique is an excellent chef! And the wine was always perfect. Our stay there was wonderful!

Entorno de la casa precioso en plena naturaleza pero cerca de la población de Ribera de Pena por lo que era accesible para comprar. La casa amplia con una zona trasera agradable para tomar el desayuno, hacer barbacoa y terreno de esparcimiento para nuestro perro. Dispone de todos los utensilios imprescindibles con un "orden" típico de casa de pueblo. No había tostadora pero sí sandwichera por lo que nos apañábamos para tostar el pan. Cafetera de cápsulas aunque hubiésemos preferido la italiana de siempre (había una pero no estaba en buenas condiciones). Cubiertos, platos, vasos, etc de sobra. Habitaciones y baños limpios. Poca presión en la cisterna del inodoro pero sin problema. Tanto los fuegos de la cocina como el agua caliente funcionan con gas butano. La anfitriona fue María, la madre de Joao, muy amable en todo momento. Nos esperó a pie de carretera porque hay que estar muy atento la primera vez de no pasarte el cruce que lleva a la casa. Nos regaló patatas e higos de su huerta.

Adorámos a nossa estadia! A casa é lindíssima, muito acolhedora e cuidadosamente mantida. Todos os equipamentos funcionavam na perfeição, o que tornou tudo ainda mais confortável. A zona é muito tranquila, o que é ideal para descansar, mas ao mesmo tempo próxima de várias atividades e pontos de interesse. O Luís foi excecional: sempre disponível, simpático e atencioso. Obrigada !

A beautiful property and location! A bit remote but a quick drive to the main road and town (be aware the road up to the house is hilly but well lit at night and easier once you know where to go). Eurico was so nice and takes amazing care of the property! He was very helpful and we loved our stay. The pool is wonderful, and kitchen had everything you need to cook. We hope to return!

Really excellent and large house that has been tastefully updated and renovated to modern standards. Great for our multi-family vacation to the Douro Valley. The kitchen was large with excellent modern appliances, and the entertainment room and grounds were ideal for our children. This is an excellent place to rent in the Douro Valley.

Wij verbleven een week in een prachtige villa in de wijnstreek van de Douro, en het was een ervaring om nooit te vergeten. De villa is ruim en stijlvol ingericht, met grote, comfortabele kamers en een volledig uitgeruste keuken die uitnodigt tot koken. De ruime tv-kamer bood ‘s avonds het perfecte comfort. Het uitzicht is adembenemend: glooiende heuvels met wijnranken zover het oog reikt, en absolute stilte die enkel door vogels of een zacht briesje wordt onderbroken. De rust en sereniteit van deze plek werkten bijna therapeutisch. Elke ochtend en avond wandelden we tussen de wijnranken. Het zwembad nodigt uit tot luieren met een glas lokale wijn, en de combinatie van comfort, privacy en natuur is zeldzaam. Een bijzonder pluspunt was de rondleiding met eigenaar Paul. Zijn warme ontvangst en bevlogen uitleg over het wijnmaakproces gaven ons een diepere waardering voor de streek en haar tradities. Kortom: een uitzonderlijke plek waar charme, luxe en authenticiteit samenkomen.

Beautiful views and lovely hosts. They were extremely responsive, friendly, and helpful with all of my questions. Would recommend their place to anyone visiting the area.

Nous avons adoré le panorama, la maison est superbe très cocooning, bien rangée, très propre, piscine magnifique, tout était comme nous l'avions espéré. Teresa est une hôte très à l'écoute gentille et surtout nous a donné toutes les informations dont nous avions besoin et j'ai adoré ses vidéos pour nous montrer les bons chemins à prendre pour les restaurants. Merci Teresa et à bientôt !

Em grupo, habituados a fazer reservas por airbnb, decidimos reservar o alojamento do Sr. Rui. Foi, sem dúvida uma excelente decisão! O alojamento é muito espaçoso, com muito bom gosto, com todos os utensílios necessários, muito limpo e cuidado! Um espaço exterior muito bem preparado e confortável, desde a piscina, à churrasqueira, até às hortícolas! O Sr. Rui, foi incansável desde o nosso primeiro interesse, sempre disponível e preocupado. Aquando da nossa chegada, tínhamos uns miminhos muito saborosos. Sem dúvida, marca positivamente pela diferença o que, nos "obriga" a voltar (e voltaremos com todo o gosto). Obrigado, por tudo, Sr. Rui.

Our stay at this place was UNREAL! The views was like something taken from a movie with its hills and scenery. Jose, the host we were in contact with, made the whole stay even better! The wine tour was incredible and informative and having access to the pool during these hot days was incredible. The comments said the pool was private but in the booking it says shared pool. But I imagine the pool is restricted to the ones in the houses, not the camping. Overall, an incredible stay!! Will definitely come back some day!

Enjoyed our stay in Vila Real. We used it as a hub for day trips in the area. The house was beautiful and well cared for and met our expectations.

Everything was perfect. The check-in went smoothly and the place is spotless. Communication was easy and friendly. I would stay there again without hesitation.

We loved the villa and its surroundings and Angela and Mario couldn’t have been more helpful. It is a short car journey into Mirandela where there are some great restaurants - recommended by our host. They were terrific value as well compared to restaurant prices in Porto! Unfortunately I picked up a head cold in Porto and had little energy to explore the local tracks. It’s a great place to stay with easy access to Tua Natural Parc and the Douro Valley, I would highly recommend it to our friends and family.

Nous avons passé un séjour mémorable chez Florbela et son mari José. Le lieu est privé et calme. La piscine est à notre entière disposition. Les hôtes sont chaleureux et ont mis plusieurs petites attentions à notre disposition. Nous avons même pu déguster de leur vin et porto. Chaque chambre possède son propre air climatisé de même que l’espace central. Un gros plus ! Nous recommandons cet hébergement!

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.
