Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Alijó

Huis is helemaal zoals op de foto’s. De tuin en het zwembad vonden wij geweldig, met mooie vergezichten over het dorp en de druivenvelden. De ontvangst was zeer gastvrij en leuk om te ervaren hoe trots de eigenaren zijn op hun woning, de omgeving en hun port. Wat ons betreft helemaal terecht. We kregen leuke tips om te doen, een tour door het huis en de tuin en een welkomst drankje aangeboden. Er zijn overal hoekjes en zitjes waar je de zon kunt opzoeken of juist kunt ontvluchten. De keuken is goed uitgerust en eigenlijk alles is wel aanwezig (en ook voldoende) De slaapkamers zijn erg comfortabel, zeker de twee met badkamer. Het dorpje is erg rustig, zijn onder andere 2 kleine supermarkten, apotheek en wat eetgelegenheden. Op 25 minuten heb je echter volop supermarkten en andere winkels. Het heeft onze verwachtingen overtroffen, de eigenaren zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam, communiceren snel en hebben ons zeer welkom laten voelen.

Rosa e Antonio foram espetaculares, simpáticos, hospitaleiros e boa energia! A propriedade é incrível, vistas maravilhosas, calmo, confortável e oferece tudo o que é necessário.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour. Nous avons été très bien accueilli, le logement est super bien placé, avec un bar juste à côté. Un village bien vivant. Nous revenons sans hésitation. Encore merci pour votre accueil.

De belles vacances en famille avec piscine ! L'eau est fraîche mais avec la chaleur c'est agréable ! La maison est excentrée donc prévoir un véhicule mais c'est ce que nous recherchions! Raquel a été très réactive par rapport à mes demandes et nous a conseillé de jolis lieux de visite !

Listen to me,no really..listen to me..THIS is it!! I never write reviews but I had to for this one. I wouldn’t say I’m picky, but I work hard like a lot of people and when I go away, I like to be at peace and relaxed. And let me tell you,this place is freakin beautiful. First of all it’s on top of a mountain which has the most incredible view of the valley and mountain side. The vineyards everywhere, the peacefulness is beyond words. I’ve stayed in a bunch of places around the world, this has got to be in my top 3 for sure! The pool impeccably clean. The house itself was immaculate. Beautifully modern bathrooms in every bedroom with amazing views of the valley from inside the shower. No really, you’re taking a shower and looking out a window into the valley! Amazing. The house had everything you need to cook a meal including the most important, 2 diff coffee pots. Delicious bakeries down in the valley. And Paula, what a sweetheart. She’s the best! What a great personality! Amazing

We had a wonderful stay and felt very much at home. Beautiful home and surroundings. The house was peaceful and amazing views. The photos are wonderful but still don’t capture the true beauty of the place. Carla, the Manager, was responsive, helpful with recommendations and very friendly - Carla also met us upon arrival ensuring we had everything we needed. Cory, the owner, was also responsive. Carla provided an amazing and substantial breakfast each morning, and along with the fantastic views made it memorable mornings. We would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay again.

Beautiful Museum like home in a small town in the midst of vineyards. The views at sunrise and sunset are fantastic and the vineyards go on forever. Ms. Fatima was great and made a delicious breakfast for us every morning. The little cafe down the street was amazing and the owner is very friendly and made us a delicious dinner the night of our arrival.

Le domaine de José est magnifique avec une vue imprenable sur les collines. Le logement est très confortable. Et la localisation est idéale pour explorer la région. José s'est montré toujours très disponible. Le petit déjeuner est compris, copieux et délicieux. Je recommande vivement cette location.

Quel endroit extraordinaire! Tout de notre séjour était parfait. L’emplacement, la communication avec l’hôte, les petites attentions dans l’appartement à notre arrivée, la vue grandiose, la piscine, les chambres confortables, la propreté de l’endroit, le vin, et spécialement la générosité des hôtes qui nous ont fait visiter les installations où ils produisent leurs vins. Nous avons passé des vacances au delà de nos attentes et nous ne pourrions passé plus recommander cet endroit. Merci tellement!

Quite a hike up the hill if you don’t have a car, just bear that in mind. Also if you’re going into town to eat, the same applies. However the upside of course is that the views are outstanding. Quiet and tranquil, we were extremely happy with our stay. Great hiking on the doorstep, lots of wine tasting if that’s your thing. One very nice touch was the traditional custard tarts and lovely bread/rolls left outside our door each morning by our host. Very nice touch indeed

Die superschöne Anlage ist eine Oase im etwas trubeligen Umfeld der Stadt Vila Real. Ins und ihre Leute sind sehr freundlich und extrem nett, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Jeden Morgen wird frisches Brot ans Haus gebracht, toller Service, auch die tägliche Reinigung des Bungalows ist sehr angenehm. Die Gartenflächen sind sehr gut gepflegt, der Pool wird täglich gereinigt, das Wasser ist superklar und erfrischend. Unser Bungalow war geräumiger als es auf den Bildern aussah und durch die dicken Granitwände auch bei 33 Grad Außentemperatur wunderbar kühl. Die Ausflugstipps sind liebevoll gezeichnet und gut durchdacht. Alles in allem hatten wir zu viert eine wunderbare Woche bei Ines. Vielen Dank!

Fue una estancia muy agradable! Estaba todo súper limpio, algo que nosotros valoramos mucho! El tener donde aparcar el coche al lado de casa, con una plaza propia nos pareció fenomenal!

O apartamento é fantástico. Super amplo, organizado. Na melhor localização do Peso da Régua. O anfitrião foi um querido, nos deu dicas de restaurante e ainda nos fez uma reserva. Sem dúvida voltarei a alugar!

Fantastic apartment right in the heart of charming Vila Real. The place had everything we needed and was an important factor in our enjoyment of the city and our vacation. Highly recommended.

We loved staying at Vitor’s property. The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing. The apartment was well equipped. Vitor was a lovely host who showed us his wine making business and gave us local recommendations. He also made sure we have candles when the was a long power outage in the whole country and made us feel like he’s giving us extra thought.

Spectacular setting wish we had more time to enjoy the place. Clean and comfortable. Full kitchen. Needs a car to get to. Looks like the photos. Bring all your own food then you don’t have to leave.

Enjoyed our stay in Vila Real. We used it as a hub for day trips in the area. The house was beautiful and well cared for and met our expectations.

We loved the villa and its surroundings and Angela and Mario couldn’t have been more helpful. It is a short car journey into Mirandela where there are some great restaurants - recommended by our host. They were terrific value as well compared to restaurant prices in Porto! Unfortunately I picked up a head cold in Porto and had little energy to explore the local tracks. It’s a great place to stay with easy access to Tua Natural Parc and the Douro Valley, I would highly recommend it to our friends and family.

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.

O estacionamento é na rua mas é fácil e certo, assim como a confiança do anfitrião ao disponibilizar utensílios e toalhas a vontade — um gesto que merece respeito recíproco. Tive, porém, uma dificuldade inicial: o endereço não foi localizado pelo Google Maps/Waze, já que fica em aldeia rural. Contactei o anfitrião o qual foi prontamente solícito e tudo se resolveu. Apesar desse pequeno desafio logístico, a experiência foi perfeita. Para quem busca conexão da simplicidade com bom custo-benefício, valoriza o respeito pelo espaço e detalhes, bem como, busca uma experiência autêntica e acolhedora, recomendo sem hesitar! We had a great and peaceful time at Joao's beautiful stone house up in hills. The deck is absolutely gorgeous to hang out with friends and family. We loved the quietness of place. There are no nearby restaurants so make sure to plan the trip accordingly, otherwise it's awesome place to relax unwind and chill.

We had a wonderful few days out in the country. It was charming and very peaceful. The fireplace was very cozy. Our host treated us like family and it was the best dinner on our entire 3 week vacation. We would love to come back and spend more time soaking up all the views . It was like stepping back in time. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves charm, peaceful surroundings and the beauty of nature all around.

Very supportive host and easy communication. Apartment was well equipped. Outstanding welcome gift: Wines, bread and local treats. Pool and outside area is shared with other apartments. Only two small bathrooms with no windows and no ventilation. Kids room with bunk bed very small and no window that can be opened. Rooms rather cold and only electric heating with AC but available in every room. Great fireplaces and plenty of wood included. The jacuzzi/Japanese Hot tub was not filled. Table Tennis, Billard, table soccer and plenty of games available. Public soccer field close by. All in all a relaxed and pleasant stay, thank you very much.
