Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Alijó

House is as in the pictures. We loved the garden and pool, with beautiful views over the village and the grape fields. The reception was very welcoming and nice to experience how proud the owners are of their home, the surrounding area and their port. As far as we are concerned, absolutely right. We were offered fun tips to do, a tour of the house and garden and a welcome drink. There are corners and seats everywhere where you can look up the sun or escape. The kitchen is well equipped and actually everything is present (and also sufficient) The bedrooms are very comfortable, especially the two with bathroom. The village is very quiet, including 2 small supermarkets, pharmacy and some eateries. However, you have plenty of supermarkets and other shops at 25 minutes. It exceeded our expectations, the owners are very friendly and helpful, communicate quickly and made us feel very welcome.

Rosa and Antonio were spectacular, friendly, hospitable and good energy! The property is amazing, wonderful views, calm, comfortable and offers everything you need.

We had a pleasant stay. We were very well hosted, the accommodation is super well located, with a bar right next door. A lively village. We'll be back in a second. Thank you again for hosting us.

Great little quiet spot …great swimming pool

Listen to me,no really..listen to me..THIS is it!! I never write reviews but I had to for this one. I wouldn’t say I’m picky, but I work hard like a lot of people and when I go away, I like to be at peace and relaxed. And let me tell you,this place is freakin beautiful. First of all it’s on top of a mountain which has the most incredible view of the valley and mountain side. The vineyards everywhere, the peacefulness is beyond words. I’ve stayed in a bunch of places around the world, this has got to be in my top 3 for sure! The pool impeccably clean. The house itself was immaculate. Beautifully modern bathrooms in every bedroom with amazing views of the valley from inside the shower. No really, you’re taking a shower and looking out a window into the valley! Amazing. The house had everything you need to cook a meal including the most important, 2 diff coffee pots. Delicious bakeries down in the valley. And Paula, what a sweetheart. She’s the best! What a great personality! Amazing

We had a wonderful stay and felt very much at home. Beautiful home and surroundings. The house was peaceful and amazing views. The photos are wonderful but still don’t capture the true beauty of the place. Carla, the Manager, was responsive, helpful with recommendations and very friendly - Carla also met us upon arrival ensuring we had everything we needed. Cory, the owner, was also responsive. Carla provided an amazing and substantial breakfast each morning, and along with the fantastic views made it memorable mornings. We would definitely recommend and would absolutely stay again.

Beautiful Museum like home in a small town in the midst of vineyards. The views at sunrise and sunset are fantastic and the vineyards go on forever. Ms. Fatima was great and made a delicious breakfast for us every morning. The little cafe down the street was amazing and the owner is very friendly and made us a delicious dinner the night of our arrival.

José's estate is beautiful with stunning views of the hills. The accommodation is very comfortable. And the location is ideal for exploring the local area. José was always very available. Breakfast is included, hearty and delicious. I would highly recommend this rental.

What an amazing place! Everything about our stay was perfect. The location, the communication with the host, the small touches in the apartment on our arrival, the magnificent view, the pool, the comfortable rooms, the cleanliness of the place, the wine, and especially the generosity of the hosts who showed us the facilities where they produce their wines. We had a vacation that exceeded our expectations and we couldn't recommend this place more. Thank you so much!

Quite a hike up the hill if you don’t have a car, just bear that in mind. Also if you’re going into town to eat, the same applies. However the upside of course is that the views are outstanding. Quiet and tranquil, we were extremely happy with our stay. Great hiking on the doorstep, lots of wine tasting if that’s your thing. One very nice touch was the traditional custard tarts and lovely bread/rolls left outside our door each morning by our host. Very nice touch indeed

The super nice complex is an oasis in the somewhat bustling environment of the city of Vila Real. Ins and their people are very friendly and extremely nice without being intrusive. Every morning fresh bread is brought to the house, great service, also the daily cleaning of the bungalow is very pleasant. The garden areas are very well maintained, the pool is cleaned daily, the water is super clear and refreshing. Our bungalow was more spacious than it looked like in the pictures and wonderfully cool due to the thick granite walls even at 33 degrees outside temperature. The excursion tips are lovingly drawn and well thought through. All in all, four of us had a wonderful week at Ines. Thank you!

It was a very pleasant stay! It was all super clean, something we highly valued! Having where to park the car next to the house, with its own plaza seemed phenomenal to us!

We loved staying at Vitor’s property. The view from the balcony was absolutely amazing. The apartment was well equipped. Vitor was a lovely host who showed us his wine making business and gave us local recommendations. He also made sure we have candles when the was a long power outage in the whole country and made us feel like he’s giving us extra thought.

Spectacular setting wish we had more time to enjoy the place. Clean and comfortable. Full kitchen. Needs a car to get to. Looks like the photos. Bring all your own food then you don’t have to leave.

Enjoyed our stay in Vila Real. We used it as a hub for day trips in the area. The house was beautiful and well cared for and met our expectations.

We loved the villa and its surroundings and Angela and Mario couldn’t have been more helpful. It is a short car journey into Mirandela where there are some great restaurants - recommended by our host. They were terrific value as well compared to restaurant prices in Porto! Unfortunately I picked up a head cold in Porto and had little energy to explore the local tracks. It’s a great place to stay with easy access to Tua Natural Parc and the Douro Valley, I would highly recommend it to our friends and family.

I don't think you could ever tire of the views from Quinta do Fraguil. They're breathtaking - we kept taking just one more photo! It's so special to be able to see so far into the distance and right down to the bottom of the valley. Even the local viewing point didn't match it! From start to finish, Rui was a friendly and really responsive host. He made us feel confident as soon as we had booked that we were going to be staying somewhere special. He turned up to meet us when we arrived and was in really good contact any time we needed to ask him anything before or during our stay. The pool is a total highlight - a good size and really clean. The house itself was also really clean and tastefully furnished. The outside eating area was perfect and made you feel happy to stay 'at home' and cook! We had sunshine every day and warm evenings sitting outside. This is the sort of place that you feel really sad to leave at the end of your holiday and one that you're very likely to visit again.

The house, carefully equipped as a family home, exceeded expectations: impeccable cleaning, efficient heating in winter and a traditional, simple and tasteful decor. It offers the essentials with excellence, including in the package, typical village security and an authentic charm, away from the standard of mass tourism. Parking is on the street but it is easy and certain, as is the confidence of the host by providing utensils and towels at will — a gesture that deserves reciprocal respect. However, I had an initial difficulty: the address was not located by Google Maps/Waze, as it is in a rural village. I contacted the host who was promptly solicitous and everything resolved. Despite this small logistical challenge, the experience was perfect. For those seeking a cost-effective connection of simplicity, values respect for space and details, as well as seeking an authentic and welcoming experience, I recommend without hesitation! Tip: combine details of the advance route

We had a great and peaceful time at Joao's beautiful stone house up in hills. The deck is absolutely gorgeous to hang out with friends and family. We loved the quietness of place. There are no nearby restaurants so make sure to plan the trip accordingly, otherwise it's awesome place to relax unwind and chill.

We had a wonderful few days out in the country. It was charming and very peaceful. The fireplace was very cozy. Our host treated us like family and it was the best dinner on our entire 3 week vacation. We would love to come back and spend more time soaking up all the views . It was like stepping back in time. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves charm, peaceful surroundings and the beauty of nature all around.

Very supportive host and easy communication. Apartment was well equipped. Outstanding welcome gift: Wines, bread and local treats. Pool and outside area is shared with other apartments. Only two small bathrooms with no windows and no ventilation. Kids room with bunk bed very small and no window that can be opened. Rooms rather cold and only electric heating with AC but available in every room. Great fireplaces and plenty of wood included. The jacuzzi/Japanese Hot tub was not filled. Table Tennis, Billard, table soccer and plenty of games available. Public soccer field close by. All in all a relaxed and pleasant stay, thank you very much.
