Beachfront vacation rentals in Alger County

The absolute perfect place for a little family getaway. Loved all the beach front there was, it was so fun walking our dogs down to the water.

What a beautiful view!! This place was perfect for our group of adults, teens and kids. Very spacious, well-stocked kitchen, space for eating, playing games, putting together puzzles and even finding quiet time. The dock is also full of kayaks, boards, a canoe and a rowboat. This was such a huge thing for our group! Proximity to Munising and Pictured Rocks is great too. Hosts are very responsive to all questions and issues. Had a blast and definitely would visit again!

The gas fireplace was on and the adorable cabin was toasty warm when we arrived, which was very nice, as it was freezing outside. Very nice place and host. Highly recommended!!

Quiet, clean cabin with beautiful view of the lake. Erin was always very friendly and responded quickly with any questions that we had. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this lovely cabin for a wedding in Munising which was a short drive. The cabin is peaceful and quiet with very comfortable beds and all the amenities you could need. We were very grateful to bring our dogs along as they are part of the family! We took the paddleboard and kayak out in the afternoon and then had S’mores by the fire. Another couple was staying on the other unit adjacent but we never would have known there were people there, there is no noise transference. Our family discovered the beauty of the UP and plan to return for more hikes and we certainly would like to stay in this cabin again!

We had an amazing stay! The cabin was spotless, the grounds were beautifully maintained, and everything felt peaceful and private. The views of the lake were stunning, and the place was incredibly comfortable with all the amenities we needed. Erin, the host, was friendly and responsive throughout our stay. The $100 boat rental is definitely worth it if the weather is nice—an unforgettable way to explore the lake. Only downside: the charcoal grill was in bad shape—missing parts and unusable—so we had to borrow our neighbor’s (with their permission). Other than that, everything was perfect. Would absolutely come back!

Right on Au Train lake, this spot is centrally located to all the various activities in the area: Waterfalls, hiking, biking, fishing, you name it. 10/10 recommend, plus they accommodate pets so a bigger thumbs up! We will be back again. Jeff & T

Absolutely perfect!!!! Best vacation I think any of us have EVER had!!!! Cabin was amazing, lake was so peaceful and clean! It was so quiet, calm, relaxing and grounding. We’re hoping this gorgeous place will still be available to rent in 4 years so we can come back!!!! We were so sad to leave this beautiful place…even though we were all ready to see our pets or SO’s. Thank you so much, Greg, for coming out and having such an amazing home available!!! Cannot wait to come back!

Everything as expected. The house was charming and perfect for a weekend getaway in the UP. Wonderful location close to tons of beautiful wildlife and destinations. Clean, everything functioned well.

Of cabins such as this it is often said, “Once you’re here you won’t want to leave.” Reason number one is that it’s an extremely clean, well-kept, and comfortable cabin. The sort of place you feel good about returning to at the end of the day. The second reason is the washboard and potholed Mirror Lake Road. Driving out and back in once a day is more than enough.

What a wonderful place to stay for our family vacation! The apartment was so clean, organized, and provided everything we needed for the week! The location was fantastic, with lots to walk to in downtown Munising. We were also a short drive from all of the nearby scenic attractions. Lisa was great to work with and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Thank you so much for such a great week!!

We enjoyed our time in the north woods. Beautiful views from the decks. The house was well kept, very comfortable accommodations, and well stocked with pots/pans/utensils, as we prepared all our own meals. Did not use grill, but propane was available. Wifi met everyone's needs. Would stay again.

Thanks Leslie for a wonderful stay. The house was great, kids loved the bunk beds, the beach was amazing with soft sand (even took a dip in the second half of October!). The kitchen was well appointed, the house clean and the view from the living room post card worthy!

Went with 12 friends, and it was a perfect weekend! You can watch the water from the porch, and the open layout of the house accommodated our large group. We loved walking on the beach in the mornings and watching the sunset there at night. We went to sable falls one day then drove about an hour to the pictured rocks trails the next. We did the 10 mile hike, and it was beautiful. This house is in a great location for views, hiking, and spending sweet time with friends. Definitely recommend!

Very responsive when we had questions or a problem. They knew the area well and directed us to some beautiful sots for fishing and hiking. The house fit our needs and created a pleasant, comfortable place to be.

Exactly what I was looking for. We have been to Marquette many times and this time we wanted to be out of the city and close to Lake Superior. This home was everything. Sauna, fire pit, on the water, quiet, and an excellent home base for adventures (20 mins from downtown). Bea is an excellent host. She was always responsive and willing to help. If you are looking for slightly remote, cabin, cozy vibes this is it. The home has everything you need, 10/10 would recommend

The house worked perfectly for our snowmobile group of 4 couples! Very spacious- plenty of room to hang out all together, and the lower level living room was a nice bonus. The huge mudroom was perfect for all our gear and easily accessible from the driveway where we parked our snowmobiles overnight. Plenty of parking too- all 4 trucks and trailers fit nicely. The house itself is very nice and clean, and the winter view of the lake is beautiful! Convenient location 1/2 mile from general store with gas, and very close to the trails. Highly recommend and hope to be back someday!

The most beautiful secluded cabin just steps away from a beautiful sand beach on Lake Superior. Peaceful, quiet. The stars are so visible from this location. I really appreciated having a kitchen fully stocked with anything needed to cook and bake.

The location was absolutely fantastic! A nice quiet beach front home, where you could practically have the beach and lake to yourself. It was a great spot for sunsets and sunrises. The house had plenty of room for our 5 kids and 6 adults for sleeping and hanging out when we were not on the beach or in the nearby towns. Great location, clean (especially for a Beach House!), and the host was very responsive. We would recommend this place to anybody looking for a nice quiet place on the beach or looking for a place to explore the UP.

We stayed for a long weekend so we could hang out with family and attend our nephew's graduation from NMU. Unfortunately, it was early May so couldn't enjoy the lake other than staring longingly while drinking coffee on the deck, but it is gorgeous and makes me want to come back in the summer! Other than that, the location was exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty of space for everyone. We made breakfast for eight every morning without issue. The long dining table was perfect for all of us to sit together to eat. It was also an excellent home base while we explored the area, chasing waterfalls, wandering around downtown Marquette, and dining at the nearby Brownstone Inn. Like I mentioned above, we are seriously considering coming back when the weather is more summer-like so we can take advantage of the lake and kayaking the nearby rivers, plus all that nearby Munising has to offer.
